However, Dr Eng noticed everything just by looking at my teeth. He also understands Japanese too ! I went in to fix a cavity, and I am so satisfied with the filling on my right front tooth because I can not tell that I have a filling. It looks super natural. In addition, he cleaned some brown spots off my teeth, which my dentist in Japan told me he would not be able to remove. Super happy !! Not only Dr Eng but also all staff members were friendly! They comforted me, and I really enjoyed being there !! Above all, I did not feel pain at all during my procedure!! Last, Dr Eng tries to provide a patient with the perfect amount of anesthetic needed for a procedure, so that anesthetic doesn't stay long after he is finished. Right after my appointment, I was able to enjoy dinner with my friends ! If I could give no stars I would…read more That has been a back-and-forth struggle since February of this year - 2026. I came to the Dentist on the recommendation of someone close. After the exam, I was told I needed a deep cleaning, a root canal, a crown, and oral surgery for wisdom teeth removal. Besides the wisdom teeth removal, which I was told would be about $147, the prices vary between $685 - $795. I have Insurance and I asked them if this was before or after Insurance coverage. They said after insurance. I made two separate appointments and paid over $300 each for those appointments - just for a deep cleaning. Because money was tight, and I needed to budget and figure out how to make the rest of it work. You go into a dentist office for the first time, trusting that they know what they're doing - not just the job with your teeth, but the billing. Do you know what happened? I called my insurance the next week to get more information about coverage because $685 for deep cleaning did not seem right to me. I called the dentist office for the ADA codes to know what was necessary in case I needed that information. This Dentist was in network, coverage should not be an issue. And I'm told by my insurance that it is covered. 80% covered. I'll state the facts: I was charged two separate amounts totaling over $700, the ADA codes were not submitted correctly to my insurance, a balanced billing complaint was necessary because they refused to refund me, they gave me the runaround. After investigation, it was deemed that a deep cleaning was unnecessary and I had no responsibility to pay. They dragged their heels for a little over a month after the resolution letter came back saying they needed to refund me, my insurance had to call them and ask for that refund on my behalf because I had no patience for their games. Ask for a predetermination. I would have if I had known. Ask for it. Because the billing is hell and this was never supposed to happen but it did. This has been ongoing since February and we're at the end of August. You know what I was supposed to pay for that deep cleaning with insurance coverage? $112.80 by my calculations. See the price difference? I do. So ask for the predetermination if you don't want to take my word for it. Because you can trust, but you must verify.

I recently had dental implants done, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire process was smooth, well-explained, and much easier than I expected. I only started seeing Dr. Juste Karvelyte after having a baby because my previous dentist -- who ultimately ended up helping fix this situation in the end -- was a far drive with a newborn at home. Looking back, switching providers was a huge mistake. From the beginning, Dr. Juste seemed to find issues with many of my teeth, and I spent thousands of dollars on fillings and dental work. One tooth in particular was not causing me any pain or discomfort, but she repeatedly insisted that I needed a crown placed on it. After hearing it brought up multiple times, I finally agreed, and it ended up being the worst dental experience I've ever had. I had a crown placed by Dr. Juste Karvelyte at Smile HQ Dental in August 2025. From the beginning, I experienced ongoing discomfort and returned to the office multiple times for bite adjustments because the tooth continued to hurt. The tooth had not been bothering me at all before the crown, and it was my primary chewing side, but afterward I could no longer comfortably chew anything on that side. Despite several visits, the issue was never resolved. Approximately six months later, the crown became dislodged and ultimately had to be completely replaced by my previous dentist, who quickly came to my rescue. He evaluated the tooth, confirmed that the crown was not properly fitted to my tooth at all, and explained why I had been experiencing so much pain. He also documented concerns with the crown retention and advised that a completely new crown was necessary. Because my insurance would not initially cover replacement work so soon after the original procedure, I was forced to pay a significant amount out of pocket to repair the tooth. What followed was months of back-and-forth with Dr. Juste's office involving records requests, insurance grievances, billing reconciliation, and extensive documentation in order to resolve the situation. During this process, I also discovered discrepancies between what Delta Dental listed as my patient responsibility and what I had actually been charged, which ultimately resulted in a refund after I requested an account reconciliation with Dr Juste To Dr. Karvelyte's credit, after extensive communication, the original claim was eventually voided and corrected through Delta Dental, which allowed my replacement crown claim to be reprocessed properly. However, the overall experience was extremely stressful, time-consuming, and financially draining, and I personally would not choose to return to this office for future dental care. I strongly encourage patients to carefully review treatment plans, insurance explanations of benefits, and billing statements, and to seek a second opinion if something does not feel right.
