Great Italian spot. Pizzas have a certain something to them that every other chain is lacking. My family has people who do and don't eat dairy, and when we ordered a pizza without cheese, the waitress also told us the crust has butter on it. This bit of knowledge really helped us out! Possibly the worst pizza I've ever eaten. The crust was the consistency of Elmer's glue and the toppings were lost in an inch of gooey mess. One - carefully placed - piece of sausage per piece! And the bread they bring our before dinner? I think it's the same bread basket we had five years ago....that's how "fresh" the breadsticks were. Had an issue with our order. Food came out in stages. My husbands pizza was delivered to our table, then 20 minutes later I received my salad. The salad was missing chicken. When I asked the waitress where the chicken was she told me that comes separate and would be out soon. 20 minutes later my kids revived their meals and the noodles were hard it was not edible . I asked again where the chicken for my salad was and the server stated "it was back there but it's not now". I told her I no longer wanted the salad without the chicken and she became very rude stating "if you would let me explain". I requested that she remove the salad from our bill because I did not get what I ordered. My husband left the table to use the restroom and the waitress asked him if he wanted a box while he was walking away, he did not hear her and she called him immature. We then asked to speak to the manager after the waitress continued to be very rude. The manager did not come. We got up to go speak to him and he began yelling at us and stated "you are the reason small businesses close" and threatened to call the police. Very unprofessional and rude staff. We wanted to discuss our concerns, pay our bill and leave. Worst dining experience ever. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

My wife and I eat at Vivio's EVERY SINGLE week. Seriously. Sometimes we go twice a week. It is that good! Kurt and Angie, the owners, are the best. Stuart, who runs the bar, is also amazing. I've never understood the hype on this place. It is known for their pizza. Unfortunately I do not like pizza. Every side item, every entree I have tried is sub par. My "vegetable" side was corn. Tonight I had the chicken with mushroom salad entree. The mushrooms were great. The chicken needed to be doused in ranch to be edible. There's a reason EVERY other table in the place had pizza... the dinners are bland, taste bad, or too uninspired to be edible. Salads are nothing more than iceberg with awful dressing. "Garlic bread and breadsticks" are hard, dried versions of their description. Leave them in the basket. Only redeeming thing was the dinner rolls, which were warm, fluffy, and delicious. The waitress could have cared less that we were there. The dead animals all over the walls and carpet that looks like wood flooring don't add to the charm either. I won't be going back. read more

Awesome pizza!! And if you have a small group stop in the bar before or after as the bar staff is friendly and can't mix perfect drinks. This is truly a must stop if you are within 50 miles. Unfortunately, the service was not great. My water was never refilled, our food came out after people around us that had ordered after us (without a word from the waitress as to why it was taking so long) and the pizza was only warm. The pizza was good, as far as quality and taste...but I do not think we will be returning due to the poor service and slightly high price of food. read more

We ordered food to go when vacationing on Burt Lake. Vivio's pizza was good. Not great, but it was definitely above Little Caesar's and the like. Their bread side was essentially dust-dry toast. It was very strange. The small Greek salad was shockingly small and we were provided no dressing. That salad went uneaten due to the fact that we did not travel with any dressing. I'd be willing to try them again but likely eating in the restaurant and not as take-out. read more

I grew up coming to this place after long days on the lake. I'll never forget playing sit down Pacman while waiting for a table on a busy summer night. I remember all of the food being great and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. I'm now 38 and have lived most of my adult life away from Michigan, including the last 10 years in California. I am taking my entire family back to Michigan this summer, including a trip "up north". We definitely plan on visiting Vivio's after a full day on Burt Lake and Indian River. read more

I enjoyed the carbonara. They give you big portions. My wife had the spaghetti and homemade meatballs and she did not like how the meatballs tasted and my daughter had the deep fried perch and she lived it. Mmmm there is nothing like Vivio's pizza! Yes, the atmosphere is, well, different. But I have to visit Vivio's at least once a summer for their unique, absolutely delicious pizza. The food was way over priced for the quality. The garlic bread was burnt and stale. I had the Chicken Parmesan. It was dry. It was also only one breast that cost over $18.00. It came with pasta that was stuck together in clumps. Other places give more food than this and they all taste better. Even an Olive Garden, which to me is the fast food of Italian, would have been way better. We went to dinner tonight and had the worse service ever. We got there at 7 and was seated right away. After about 15 minutes our waitress shows up to take our drink order. I ordered a 7up or sprite, she brought it to me and I told her it was no good. I thought it tasted like club soda. I asked for another and she said in a not so nice tone that the 7up was probably gone. So I said that's fine I will take a ice tea. After bringing our drinks we waited another 10 minutes for our order to be taken. She brought out salad with hard old bread. We then ordered I ordered lasagna and my husband had spaghetti. Out waitress brought out mine and the bowl was hot. I started eating it the outside was hot but as I ate it the inside was cold. I could not tell waitress because we never saw her. I finally asked another waitress for a roll and she brought out one...really. Whatever, worst dinner by far. This was not our first time there but have always gotten pizza. Absolutely disgusting! Great waitress, horrible manager! Waited 40 minutes for food only to come out cold and not done. Attempted to get the manager to take the dinners off our bill and had to argue with him. He charged us $13 for the salads that come with the dinner, one of which was the size of a fist, when the dinner was $12.50 to begin with. Bad experience, bad food, bad management! read more

This is time and time again my favorite restaurant in Indian River. The ambiance is awesome, a perfect place to end a long day of boating and to immerse yourself further into the spirit of the north. They also run a very tight ship....watching the speed with which they seat people and turn over tables on a Saturday night was very impressive....a lot of restaurants could take lessons from them. read more
