Vocelli's customer service is awesome! The pizza is always delicious! Love this place!

We ordered a couple pies today. Pizza was bland. I'd give it about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. To their credit, they got the toppings right. In the end it didn't matter though because the dough was undercooked. read more

Vocelli Pizza has the BEST pizza! The pizza sauce here is delicious! I love their wings! Specially the Garlic Romano. They actually bake their wings instead of frying them, and that to me is a win! If you haven't had their Vocelli Rolls, you are missing out! They are coated with a delicious garlic sauce and a cup of marinera sauce on the side. My husband loves the Stromboli. The staff is so friendly, and the manager treats you like family when you walk in. It's a pleasure to walk into a store that has such friendly staff and always greeted with a smile. There is no other place like Vocelli Pizza in the Fairfax/Centreville area. Give them a try and you won't regret it! read more

We were staying at the Springhill Suites on Waples Mill Road and didn't want to get out in the rain. The front desk dude said he liked Vocelli's a lot, so we called. Delivery was estimated at 35 minutes, and it was on time. We got the Grande Deluxe on Traditional crust. It was very good. The sauce had a nice little kick to it and the toppings were very fresh and tasty. I am allergic to mushrooms and they made sure to NOT put them on the pizza. We got bread sticks and sauce and really enjoyed them. The Cannella sticks were very good also. I'm sure the husband will order from them again when he's back working in that area again. read more

Good pizza. Ordered a large supreme pizza (or whatever they call it) and a Sicilian pizza with tomatoes. First pizza was loaded with toppings and super tasty. Sicilian pizza was great - really thick crust. My husband loved it. Delivery was SO fast... I don't understand how they got here that quickly, but it was awesome. Only problem I had with it - the price! We just ordered a couple pizzas without really looking at the price - which I suppose is our own fault, obviously - but how expensive can 2 pizzas be from a chain restaurant? Total was around $40. Seriously? Meh. Really good pizza, but it wasn't $40 good. I'd order again if we had some coupons or something; otherwise, I'm going with something cheaper. read more

I don't usually do chain pizza, but I was tired from moving and they delivered. I was pleasantly surprised. So the delivery was a little slow and I was a bit mad. Then the food arrived. All is forgiven. Absolutely delicious and high quality. Garlic/romano wings were the best wings I have ever had. The salad was really tasty, but the packaged dressings were a letdown. That is where the 5th star went. Whip up some homemade dressings and this place would corner the market. I ordered Pesto Pasta for delivery but then they called me shortly after to tell me they were out of pesto and if I'd be okay wth alfredo. What kind of Italian place runs out of pesto? I said that'd be fine since I was starving so they went ahead with the order. It ended up taking 52 minutes to get my order, and when I tipped the delivery guy $3 on a $9 order, he gave me a dirty look. Really??!? Anyways, the chicken was dry and scarce and the pasta itself was all over the place, half seeming to be undercooked and the other half overdone with a consistency of mashed potatoes. The garlic bread was honestly the best part of the meal, but even that was incredibly salty, even after shaking some of the oil and salt off. Cool they offer a 30% discount for web orders only yet their website has been broken for 3 weeks and you CANNOT get that discount by calling. The guy was adamant he couldn't do anything about it. What a douche, boycott this bait-and-switch restaurant. read more

Update: Not sure if the same location serviced me because I moved a couple miles away, but I had family in town and took the risk of ordering from them again. Much to my surprise, the order arrived in no time and my family was very impressed with the food. They enjoyed the pizza so much, they wanted to remember who it was to order from them next time. We ordered a pepperoni, thin crust pizza and two orders of spaghetti. It was wonderful. I did receive a message from the manager/owner through Yelp shortly after my prior negative review but wasn't sure if he was the one who had disturbed me so much or not, so I never called him for him to make it right. Let's hope this good service continues because I really do prefer Vocelli over the rest. read more

Steer clear. I ordered 2 medium pizzas last Sunday. Not only did it take 58 minutes to be delivered(2.1 miles away), the pizzas were dry, had no sauce and were hard as a rock. It was like eating stale bread. We each ate a slice and ended up tossing the rest. read more

One of the better italian chain restaurants. It's a little more expensive then the typical pizza chains, As a (single female at the time) I often felt uneasy with other delivery people but the delivery people from the store were nice, and respectful. read more

So this place is 2 for 2 in getting my phone delivery order wrong somehow and they end up calling me back afterward because they have my address wrong or credit card number wrong. I love their thin crust pizza. It's not New York style, (their Neapolitan crust is more of a New York style pie), but is thin and crispy the whole way through. The dough has a great flavor too. I'm glad i found Vocelli's. It's my go to place for pizza when i am too lazy to make my own. read more

Based on the service tonight. We ordered two steak and cheese subs tonight for deliver. Upon receipt we realized they sent two steak and cheese pizzas. Originally frustrated, we stated we didn't order that. Understanding that miscommunication happens we took the pizzas. Less than an hour later we hear a knock on the door and the same delivery person was back with two subs- we did not ask for this. In addition, they added two small desserts. I really liked their pizza, It was on par to the best I have had in Fairfax and the delivery service was excellent. I ordered at 6:22 online and it arrive d at 6:49. It was hot and fresh so I knew it wasn't precooked, but I was surprised at how prompt they were. So if I was the pizza was fine, delivery was fast, and ordering was easy, why only two stars....Well, I am glad you asked. It was the.....cannoli. Let me preface this with the statement, I love cannolis. LOVE EM......When I do have a cheat day with pizza and cannoli, the pizza is the fluffer. I ordered a cannoli, it arrived, I opened and thought about how good it was going to taste and guess what...The shell was soggy and the cannoli was horrible. I haven't been this disappointed since the Fat Boys broke up......How could you sell soggy cannolis? Thats some mess that would get you capped in Brooklyn.... Come on Vocelli, with a decent (not great) cannoli, this would have been a four star review, but don't refrigerate your cannoli shells, keep em separate and fill them when they are ordered....I know its extra work, but you would have gained a lifelong customer instead of my one and done ass.......the search continues. Today's service from the Fairfax, VA location (on Lee Highway) was unfortunately terrible from beginning to end. We have ordered from this location previously and, other than a driver that had problems finding our house, we have received service as expected. However, today was very different. I ordered online and I received a message that the order was in and to expect the pizzas (two large) within 30-45 minutes. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, I checked online and it said our order had not been sent out for delivery. I decided to call and check on the status of the pizza. I called the 800 Customer Service Center, which, after a few minutes of being on hold, then put me through to the Fairfax store. At the Fairfax Store, the phone rings, then is picked up and then disconnected. I found the number for the Fairfax store, and called again, this time, a woman answered the phone and asked if she could put me on hold. I said yes and she put down the phone on the counter apparently, because for the next 3 minutes all I heard was the background noises. I hung up and tried the Customer Service center again. Remember, all I want is to know if my pizza is on its way. The Customer Service Center phone rings twice and then disconnects. So I call the Fairfax Store again. The same woman as above answers the phone and when I ask to speak to a manager, she says, "what do you want?". I ask her if she is the manager. She then gets quiet and puts the phone down. I can hear a conversation with someone else. She then comes back to the phone and says that her manager will have to call me back. She has not asked for my name, how she can help me or my phone number. I ask her how her manager will call me without my name or number. Is she going to write it down? At that point, the woman on the phone then tells me that if I have a question, I can ask her, otherwise they are busy and they don't have time for this. At that point, I hung up. 5 minutes later, the pizza arrives (now 1.5 hours since ordering time). I pay for the pizza and give the driver a tip. When I open the pizza, I see that one of the pizzas has cheese on it, when I specifically ordered no cheese. Although the entire pizza does not have cheese, only 3/4 of the pizza has cheese. The other pizza I ordered with pepperoni and bacon, the bacon is burnt and unrecognizable. I understand that, especially after a coupon is issued, restaurants get very busy. I even would have understood the delayed pizza, if I could have at least talked to someone - at first, at all - and then secondly, was actually polite. This experience was beyond terrible. read more

Signed up for yelp just to leave a message of how disappointed I was in this Vocelli. Let's pass over the taking 5 minutes to spell out a 6 letter street to the non English understanding male answering phones. Pass over him turning around to ask a coworker a question and pulling the cord so that the rest of the transaction is now a three person convo with the inclusion of a candy wrapper. When the food finally arrived (55 minutes later), my cheese sticks turned into cheese bread that tasted like overcooked grease bread once I got over the fact that mister no English couldn't get an order right after having him repeat it to me 4 times and getting it right only the last two. The big disappointment was the two salads with "grilled chicken". The chicken arrived in a container making me think they stopped by the local salad bar on the drive over and the store bought salad dressing pouches did little to assuage my concerns. When I bit into it, I still can't tell a difference between the two, maybe a salad bar salad would have been more flavorful and actually edible. Never ordering from there again and hope the paid for positive feedback doesn't bury the real reviews. read more

The food rates a six (6) but the delivery rates a negative one (-1). The subs are the best I've ever had - the pizza is also very good - the spaghetti is okay but the amount is very chintzy and it reminds me of cheap canned spaghetti. The delivery is what knocks this Vocelli's down a couple notches - if you order the spaghetti, expect the separate box it's packed in, the garlic bread, and the silverware to be soaked in sauce - it's like the delivery pouch gets swung around like a discus - fully expect your sub to NOT be fully cut through and to look flattened - your pizza will look like it's been on a roller coaster ride. We have brought this up with this location many times but nothing has changed and we'll probably stop ordering from there - they understand English very well at this Vocelli's - what's kinda galling is that they charge $1.99 for delivery. If the delivery was better, I would gve them five stars. read more
