The pizza and wings here are delicious. We ordered everything from the Ram, Patriot and the Phoenix. The crust was crispy and the dough was airy. I love how you can order Grandmas personal pizza or NYC style. You have the option of making it a cauliflower crust. There is plenty of seating for dine in customers. The ordering system was easy and I like how you can watch them make it. I loved the variety of ingredients here including ARs hot honey. Highly recommend coming here for lunch as well since they do offer some pizza by the slice options. read more

Came to try the pizza so ordered grandma style and "new york style" pizzas. Service was slow and servers seem untrained. A lot of self service here where you're expected to order at the counter and find your own plates, cutlery, and water. New york style pizza is aspirational at best--false advertising at worst. Not sure what part of the thick hard crust was new york style but I wouldn't come back for it. The indoor seating is loud and you might end up having to share. read more

This is becoming our go-to for cauliflower crusts. Their premade combinations work and are traditional enough to be appreciated by anyone. A sometimes inconsistent bake time for their oven can lead to over heavy char risk at times. Haven't quite figured out if that's the oven or just a time and usage issue. Their other pizza styles of dough seem popular with a lot of families and groups. So it's a continent spot that harkens back to a prior era of pizza parlor pop-through, complete with old and no-longer coin operated arcade game. This is my 2nd visit and I can say I am going to keep on coming back for more. I tried their pizza a few weeks ago and loved it. I appreciate that they sell it by the slice. Some places you have to buy a pie. This time I decided to try their Turkey Reuben. I do have to say that it's actually a Turkey Rachel (difference being they use Coleslaw and not sauerkraut like a classic Reuben. ) It was delicious! I got a footlong, they do sell an 8 inch as well. I had leftovers and intend to eat it for dinner tomorrow. The staff are SO friendly and courteous. Cudos to them. I highly recommend this restaurant. 5 stars for friendly service, clean and comfortable seating/dining, easy (free!) parking, fresh ingredients, consistent food, and speed/ease of ordering and dining. If you're looking for a quick slice, a fresh salad, or a cold beer ...this is a great pop in. Or for a sit down casual meal, it's a place that knows what it does and sticks to that. Love to see that! We stopped in for lunch between appointments, ordered off the menu and were able to comfortably order, eat, and get food packed up to go easily within our short timeframe. We got the "New York" style pizza but the Grandma style looked really good too. The slices on display had those great crispy cheese edges and the dough looked nice and puffy and light. As a New Yorker, I wouldn't call their "NY Style" pizza true NY but as a regular pizza, it was very good. The crust is too thick to be New York style, it has a thicker drier interior, with a crispy, airy crust. Didn't have that thin crust with the chewy interior like a true NY pizza BUT I was in VA, not NY so, I honestly don't expect it to be NY pizza. We loved the different sauce and customization options (had to stick to just cheese on this trip because of a picky kid) and happy to see a cauliflower crust option too. Overall very happy with our impromptu stop into this place for lunch and have it on our return list when we are back in the area! read more

Nice smell of fresh pizza once inside! I like the pac man arcade inside that reminds me of when I grew up playing an arcade at a Pizza Hut. The pizza is just OK tho and not the best. This is our go-to place on pizza night! We love their pizza from the gluten free cauliflower crust to the grandma pizza...the pizza is great! Let me start with the pizza. It's average. Come in expecting average. Average pizza is still pretty damn good. Fairfax is a city deplete of pizza by the slice options. That alone gives Old Dominion an advantage. They offer both NY style and Grandma style pizza (crisp, square slices, resembling a blend of Chicago and Detroit styles). I ordered both options by the slice three times and it it has been consistently decent. Two out of three times the pizza, despite being reheated in the oven, was somewhat cold. If you have the time and appetite, ordering a full fresh pizza may be the better option. You can get a full Grandma Style pizza with cheese for only $8. On pizza alone this is a 3 star joint. But other elements of my experiences gave it a bump. Very friendly service, especially from the gentleman who I presume is the owner. A small but solid craft beer menu with all beers priced at $6. I believe I ordered Sour Monkey by Victory Brewing which is always solid (and at 9.5% abv is essentially two beers in one). It's also a nice, clean, spacious environment, something you don't always find in pizza places, especially in Fairfax. read more

This is one of my new favorites. While I'm going to have to do more analysis, the main thing that stands out is it's atmosphere. A lot of restaurants lack this. Here there's always something going on, whether by the oven, or out on the dining room floor. The employees are cheerful, polite, and welcoming. It seems a genuine spot. Crowds are mostly families, and although busy often, they'll get to you quick. What surprised me is how good "Grandmas Style" is. Absolutely delicious. Love their ingredients. There's no cutting corners, and prices are within reason. These thick pizzas with fresh toppings, and a cold draft beer hit the "proverbial happy zone." Will be back again soon, as tonight's grandma pizza was another tasty meal. read more

We have been going to Old Dominion Pizza in Fairfax for over a year and have always enjoyed their fresh pizza, salads, and sandwiches. Today we were very disappointed to have ordered a cheese pizza NY style and it had the taste (and look) of Papa John's. Absolutely no taste in the tomato sauce. The cesar salad sauce was bland and just about one tablespoon to cover all the romaine lettuces. Needless to say and unfortunately, this will be our last visit. For the same price, Andy's pizza in Fairfax is much better. Sorry to all the locals that like Old Dominion but I grew up in NYC and if this restaurant was located there it would have a closed in less than a year. I tried DoorDashing from them. When you order, it is a merchant-filled order. This means that if they mess up, you want to cancel, or want a refund, you have to go through them and not DoorDash. DoorDash just sets it up. They said they would have it delivered in a half hour, I didn't get it for 1.5 hours and it was not great enough to be worth the wait and frustration. read more

Discovered Old Dominion by chance. Went on a weekend evening near close and order two slices heated up. The pizza was OK - I would definitely stop by again if I was in the area. The staff were fantastic and super nice. It was late but they still took good care of us and we're very upbeat. It was pretty quiet (no loud music) which made it nice to eat and have a conversation.
