Amazing NY style pizza! The pizza crust was some of the best - crispy and thin, and not soggy at all. The toppings held on nicely, too. The white Hawaiian was great, and I will definitely try their other slices. Service was quick and the ambiance was easy-going and casual. I will be returning!

Tony's NY pizza is exactly as advertised, and it hits the spot when you're craving that easy New York slice. The Greek salad was fresh and generously covered in red onions, while the veggie calzone had sooo much cheese. Not as many veggies as I would have liked but still a good experience. The staff behind the counter was lovely and helpful. The restaurant was a little cold from folks coming and going, but the booths were comfortable for our party size.

Been coming here at 11 to 11:30 for the past several months daily and they burnt a slice of pizza that was just pulled out onto the counter. Sad that they couldn't even offer me a new slice!

Went here early on a Friday night and it was hopping! We've been to other locations and this did not disappoint. The pizza is authentic NYC style and comes out hot a delicious. Also, it's still a bargain. We got 4 slices and a fountain drink to share for $22-hard to beat that these days.

Half sub is $ 9.00 & whole sub is $ 13.00. Half sub is between 6" to 6.5"

It's not bad, a bit overpriced probably.. same with their pizza, at about $ 5.00 per slice! Oh well!!

If you're looking for a great pizza spot that's both family-friendly and delicious, this is the place to go! The pizza was great but the best part... it was toddler-approved! My newly 2YR old devoured TWO slices (which is not normal). The restaurant is family-owned, and you can tell they care. It was also super clean, which is a big plus for dining out. We will certainly be back!

The taped note they put on my pasta order.

This experience was genuinely so disappointing and frustrating. My family has ordered from Tony's many times through Grubhub and never had an issue until now. However, tonight two different things in our order were wrong, and what made it worse was how we were treated when we called to get it resolved. First, my mom ordered a stromboli. She specifically chose it because the pictures on Tony's Grubhub showed the stromboli as the usual log-shaped kind. That's what she was craving and why she ordered it. But instead she got something shaped like a crescent, basically a calzone. When we called to ask about it, the assistant manager Zach didn't even apologize. He just told us the pictures online were wrong and that they don't make strombolis like that anymore. He essentially said it wasn't their fault if the picture was outdated. That's misleading and honestly ridiculous to say that's not the restaurant's responsibility when it's their own menu and images. Then came the bigger issue. I have chronic health issues and specific dietary needs. The only thing I ever order from Tony's is the gluten free penne pasta with tomato sauce and grilled chicken. It's the only dish I know that won't trigger my symptoms. On Grubhub, there's no option to add chicken directly, so I always write "please add grilled chicken" in the special instructions box. Every other time they've either added it or called us to confirm and charge us for it. But this time, they didn't call whatsoever. They didn't try. They just taped a note to the container that said "sorry we couldn't put the chicken because Grubhub didn't charge you for it." So I ended up with just gluten free pasta and tomato sauce, which I never would've ordered by itself. When we called the restaurant to explain, Zach again blamed us. He told us we should've ordered something that already comes with chicken. He clearly didn't understand or didn't care that this is the only dish I can safely eat. He didn't offer a solution or show any concern. He even said we should've called the restaurant directly instead of using Grubhub, which makes no sense since they offer their menu through Grubhub and clearly expect people to use it. Then he cut us off by saying the restaurant was too busy and told us he was going to hang up. There was no apology. No care. Just defensiveness and blame. My mom even said directly to him that his customer service was incredibly rude and unhelpful and that we felt like we were being blamed instead of listened to. She was completely right. This wasn't just a mistake with an order. This was a business showing they do not care about their customers, and especially not customers with dietary restrictions who rely on the food being correct. I'm honestly hurt and angry because when you live with chronic illness, safe food is already limited and it's exhausting having to fight just to be taken seriously when something goes wrong. I don't think we will be ordering from here again.

I went here on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised! The cheese steak was the best I've had around Northern VA. The pizza reminded of back home (Connecticut). They also have a GREAT lunch special. (Photo attached) I will definitely be returning to try more of their food!

Whether I'm there for brunch, lunch, or dinner, I have to order the mussels in garlic white wine sauce every single time. I still haven't found mussels that beat Trattoria's, and I've tried quite a few, even in Maine. If you're indecisive about your entrée, don't worry. I promise, no matter what you order, you're going to love it. The pasta is freshly made, and you can truly taste the difference. Their espresso martinis are also one of a kind. The staff is always attentive, welcoming, and makes the whole experience feel special. From the outside, the restaurant may look small, but once you're inside, there are different rooms, multiple floors, and even an outdoor dining area that feels like it transports you straight to the streets of Sicily. This place is truly Italy on a budget, and if you get addicted like I did, don't say I didn't warn you.

When I called, they were not super busy and the hostess easily reserved us a table for our arrival. I ordered their signature dish, the homemade tagliatelle with Bolognese...I have to say that I was disappointed by the Bolognese. It wasn't made with the traditional beef/veal/pork mixture. It was made with an Italian spiced sausage. The flavor of the Italian sausage dominates the dish. It's too strong. I hope management reads this and possibly makes a change. The rest of the food was good as usual. Our server did a good job.

A Modo Mio offers many food specials. For example, on Tuesdays, that's when we stopped there for…read moredinner, all their pasta dishes are 1/2 price. However, given that they ranked 32nd among this country's top 50 Pizza restaurants, I had to order a pizza. And I'll get to my pizza after I discuss some other things, because it all plays together. Also, during my visit, I kept drawing comparisons between this place and Pupatella, a local Neapolitan pizza juggernaut. The Big Question to answer is why A Modo Mio got a spot on the Top 50 while Pupatella didn't even make the cut. Access is easy, and parking is good. There are lots of spaces that wrap around the restaurant. That's in contrast to Pupatell, which has limited parking and where I always wind up using the Safeway lot across the street. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating. It also has a long, well-stocked bar where you can sit to enjoy a beverage or a meal. Pupatella doesn't have any of that. When you arrive, you're greeted by a host who shows you to your seat. A very short while later, a waiter shows up and does all the things waiters do. At Pupatella, you wait in line to place your order, then find an open table. TLDR: Your dining experience, outside of the food, is much more civilized and relaxing at A Modo Mio. The pie that earned their 32 out of 50 ranking was the Sicilia. But I ordered a 12" Casertana because I'm not crazy about eggplant and like sausage. The pie arrived a short while later, piping hot and loaded with sausage. The taste was sublime and delicious. My only complaint was that the basil was added before baking, and I prefer that herb when it's not reduced to ash. So back to The Big Question, is the A Modo Mio pizza *that* much better than Pupatella that it earned a spot amongst the Top 50 while the other one didn't even make the cut? Frankly, it's not. It is good pizza... possibly great pizza. But that's also true of the other place. What sets A Modo Mio apart from that other place, and the answer to the Big Question, is that the criteria for generating the Top 50 list included more than the pizza. It also took into account: - Hospitality and Service - Ambiance - Beverage Program. Beyond the pizza, A Modo Mio has those things in abundance, while the other place pretty much has none. TLDR: Comparing pizzas side by side, the two places are on par. However, if you take into account the entire dining experience, you will be much happier with your pizza here, as opposed to that other place or most other pizza restaurants in the DMV area.

But to be honest... even with "fork and knife pizza" the toppings should not be goopy and slippery. Does the best pie and Arlington hold like that on the regular? Nothing special about the toppings either. The crust and dough were the best part of this experience, but an amazing pie, should have all component's complimenting each other. Is it decent pizza? Yes. Best pizza in Arlington? I don't think so.
