My partner and I were in the area and looking for something quick to eat. The choice was between here and the bagel shop next door, and the scent was just so much more enticing here. They have tons of pizza options, but we opted for their hot oven specialties, specifically their Meat Calzone (pepperoni, sausage, and cheese) and their Rustica (ham, salami, sausage, cheese, eggs, spinach, and broccoli). Note that they do charge a 3% credit card fee, so I would recommend either paying cash or a credit card that has 5% for dining. This is in a shopping center of a much larger shopping area, so there was plenty of parking. We opted to dine in and there was plenty of seating as well - booth and tables. You get a number and can grab drinks, condiments, seasonings, and utensils. The bathroom was decent and everything overall was clean. Once they dropped off our food, my partner and I dug in. Both came with marinara dipping sauce, although I felt like the Rustica could have been better paired with a white sauce. Regardless both tasted good and were filling. I was surprised by the Rustica as it seemed like the love child of a calzone and a pizza - pizza shape with calzone crust. With the ingredients, it reminded me more of a quiche. I liked how much more balanced it was - nice mix of protein and vegetables.and wouldn't mind coming back to try more of their menu. read more

Several staff greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. Very friendly and helpful! We had the: Pepperoni Pizza with Banana Peppers on one half. It's delicious and perfectly cooked. Lasagna with Garden Salad with House Italian Dressing and Garlic Bread. The Lasagna is flavorful with the right amounts of noodles, cheese and meat sauce. It's also a good serving size, especially, since it comes with the side salad and bread. The Owner remembers us and stopped by the table to ask how we are doing and if we are happy with everything. Went to grab a late night snack/dinner. This is the one spot our family always go to. It is near the house and it could be a quick stop. Service was great, once you order, you get a number and the pizza will be brought to the table if you dine in. Besides pizza, they also have other things on the menu but we come here for pizza. We get the supreme pizza and margherita pizza. Food comes out fairly quick and everything tasted so good, crust is not too thick and it is crispy. It id not too big so usually 2 slices would be ideal for a normal meal. They are most likely will be busy on the weekends and at night time so come accordingly. We've been coming to Tony's for thin crust, New York style pizza for decades. At first, it was the crust and sauce: super thin and a tasty tomato basil that is not sweet. The flavors just shine. At first, we would go to eat in so the pizza was brought out hot and melty with a long mozzarella pull. Delicious! Tony's is one of the few places that still employs the local kids in the Summer and on weekends. It's a real sense of community that makes a welcoming atmosphere. But recently, we've gotten too busy to eat in, so we'd get takeout, often with a greek salad (yum!). The pizza just didn't seem to taste the same by the time we got it home, ate the salad and dug into the pizza. But we found a solution that is as good as eat-in: the website offers a half-baked pie. It's the same thin crust and sauce but now with a controllable point where it comes out of the oven. We can enjoy the salad and pop the pie in at 550 F for 3-4 mins. The pizza is just as hot and melty as with the eat in option. Excellent development. read more

This experience was genuinely so disappointing and frustrating. My family has ordered from Tony's many times through Grubhub and never had an issue until now. However, tonight two different things in our order were wrong, and what made it worse was how we were treated when we called to get it resolved. First, my mom ordered a stromboli. She specifically chose it because the pictures on Tony's Grubhub showed the stromboli as the usual log-shaped kind. That's what she was craving and why she ordered it. But instead she got something shaped like a crescent, basically a calzone. When we called to ask about it, the assistant manager Zach didn't even apologize. He just told us the pictures online were wrong and that they don't make strombolis like that anymore. He essentially said it wasn't their fault if the picture was outdated. That's misleading and honestly ridiculous to say that's not the restaurant's responsibility when it's their own menu and images. Then came the bigger issue. I have chronic health issues and specific dietary needs. The only thing I ever order from Tony's is the gluten free penne pasta with tomato sauce and grilled chicken. It's the only dish I know that won't trigger my symptoms. On Grubhub, there's no option to add chicken directly, so I always write "please add grilled chicken" in the special instructions box. Every other time they've either added it or called us to confirm and charge us for it. But this time, they didn't call whatsoever. They didn't try. They just taped a note to the container that said "sorry we couldn't put the chicken because Grubhub didn't charge you for it." So I ended up with just gluten free pasta and tomato sauce, which I never would've ordered by itself. When we called the restaurant to explain, Zach again blamed us. He told us we should've ordered something that already comes with chicken. He clearly didn't understand or didn't care that this is the only dish I can safely eat. He didn't offer a solution or show any concern. He even said we should've called the restaurant directly instead of using Grubhub, which makes no sense since they offer their menu through Grubhub and clearly expect people to use it. Then he cut us off by saying the restaurant was too busy and told us he was going to hang up. There was no apology. No care. Just defensiveness and blame. My mom even said directly to him that his customer service was incredibly rude and unhelpful and that we felt like we were being blamed instead of listened to. She was completely right. This wasn't just a mistake with an order. This was a business showing they do not care about their customers, and especially not customers with dietary restrictions who rely on the food being correct. I'm honestly hurt and angry because when you live with chronic illness, safe food is already limited and it's exhausting having to fight just to be taken seriously when something goes wrong. I don't think we will be ordering from here again. read more

As a former New Yorker, you know I'm a total snob with pizza. In this area, this is the closest to NY you'll find. It is our go-to when we are craving an authentic NY style pizza with its thin crust profile and ratio of cheese/sauce. I had to deduct a star for this past visit, though. I ordered through their website and asked that it be cooked Well Done with light sauce. It's how my kids like their pizza, and they've got autism so they're super particular about texture. I've attached a photo of the "well done/light sauce" pizza, which looked 100% identical to the second one I ordered with no special requests to preparation. The owner, Giovani, is such a gentleman and he just makes you feel as though you are a part of his Italian family! When you are a regular, he knows you by name and always greets you with a warm and big smile! It can get quite busy on certain days, but you can always find a table. This time, we opted for takeout.
