Unfortunately there are also hardly any flights to interesting places Lol but they do have the basics (LA, SF, Vegas, Mexico, etc.) I have family who live near here so I have been flying to/from this airport multiple times a year for decades now! The Einstein Bros Bagels inside the airport is pretty good although this location bakes their bagels instead of boiling them. The airport is always clean and I love love love the gorgeous trees in the entryway! There are a surprisingly large number of food and drink here. The rental car terminal is right next door (walk out the door from baggage claim and the counters for the rental cars are right at baggage claim) it is super convenient! You can idle at the curb to pick people up, they have cell phone waiting, plenty of parking - so easy! A few years ago they built a new covered parking structure which is awesome and very convenient. There's only been a few times I can't find parking there and have to park in the main lot. Overall this airport is the most stress-free easy airport I love it! Fun story: When I was in high school, I flew from Barcelona to Madrid then LAX then Fresno and on my luggage it said MAD and LAX and FAT so I thought it was funny to be 'Mad' that I got 'Lax' with my diet then got 'Fat' Lol

I flew 1st Class and had all my meds in that bag and couldn't take the chance of lost luggage (which I have experienced with American in the past) she proceeded to inform me that she had damaged tendons in her hand and couldn't lift anything. I commented that if that is the case I would not count on her assistance in the event of an emergency since even passengers can't sit in exit aisles if unable to lift the Emergency door. I wrote American and received an automatic response then a cursory note that no violation of rules took place so no action on the Flight Attendant. I see AA has 2=Star ratings from other passengers and I hope everyone considers flying with a different airline.

This was over the summer when airlines being delayed and losing luggage was coming out weekly in news headlines. Aeromexico is Mexico's best airline by far. Yes, they got downgraded by the FAA due to issues with Mexico's national airline authority overall. It was scary to fly on an airline with a downgraded safety rating but I honestly ended up feeling safer on Aeromexico than American-brand airlines. We even had a Boeing employee on our last flight who was working on a safety manual for a Boeing plane while in flight so I considered this a positive sign as to the quality of their planes. It's true that their customer service can be tricky but this is also unfortunately true of a lot of Mexican businesses in general. The country is still developing its infrastructure. The Aeromexico application for smartphones doesn't work that great but their in-person customer service was nothing but nice to us. An employee helped us find seating together when we made separate flight reservations for 3 adults. Customer service also helped my Mother-in-Law get an entire row of seats to herself to make sure she was comfortable on her 8 hour solo red eye flight. Aeromexico prides itself on getting you to your destination 30 minutes+ early. When you land early, they say, "Another early flight arriving X minutes ahead of time by Aeromexico". I will never forget that announcement. If you're considering flying to Mexico, it's worth it to pay more to fly on Aeromexico. The food/free alcohol on long haul flights is really very tasty and good. After dinner and your 2 free cups of wine or beer, they even offer you a liqueur (a sweet tequila) to help you digest your food.

Since our experience with Spirit was good we figured we'd try frontier for a super last minute trip. The "flight ticket" was cheap but that's the last thing that was cheap. You get charged to choose your seat, charged to bring a carryon, charges to check a suitcase and the total of each ticket ended up being 4 times the amount they advertised. QUADRUPLE! The aircraft was disgusting, and the flight attendants were the WORST fight attendants you can imagine. Poor appearance, no manners, talking crap about each other, talked crap TO the passengers and even cussing! The flight to AND from our destination was OVER 2 hours late causing passengers to miss their connecting flights meaning they had to sleep I'm the airport and the flight attendant told.him he should have not been so cheap and booked through another airline if he cared so much about not missing his flight. Mind you, they were 2.5 HOURS delayed and we did not get ANY notification of it till we were boarded on the plane. That's when they sent out a message that they were going to be late. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER fly this airline again even if it were free. Worst nightmare. They should be put out of business. Do not fly with them under any circumstances or you will be sorry.
