I have a lot of hair so I expected to pay a lot, my hair was a total of $300 including tip and I love Anna she is so sweet. The first time going, the tone was too light so she told me to come in again so she can fix it and she did an amazing job fixing the tone, which she did for free the second time with a blowout and conditioning which I thought was nice. I recommend Anna bc she tells you everything she is going to do and how much it will be!

This is a cut for a kid

First off my stylist was sweet and kind, however the rating is only because I couldn't bring myself to express how bad I wanted to cry. (I did after I got outside) I wanted red or blonde, she said the blonde wouldn't be brassy or orange. It's is, and I was there for 5 hours only to get brassy hair and my cut I asked for was for a 35 year old instead my hair is cut exactly like my 12 year old niece. I paid the 180$ and even tipped because I'm not a hateful person. I have horrible anxiety with hair salons and I am never going to another one after this.

Kacey Welch method by the amazing Emily Cook

Emily gives me life!!!! A little over 2 years ago, I was on the search for a stylist who was good with curly hair and who wasn't afraid to give clients their opinion (they are the expert, not me!). I had tried several different places and couldn't seem to find "the one". When I called to make the appointment with Emily, she immediately contacted me and was extremely warm, excited, and willing to work with my schedule for our first appointment. I found gold with Emily. Not only is she great at her craft, but she is passionate about her work and her clients. Over the years, she has watched me go through many seasons of life and has always given me the "boost" i need to feel confident, stylish, and appropriate for whatever stage I was in (pregnancy, baby, after baby etc). She now not only cuts my hair but also my 1 year old ( i wouldn't take her to anyone but Emily!). When I recently found out Emily was one of the first in Charlotte to get certified with the Kacy Welch hand tied extension method, I knew it was my chance for long hair that would look natural. I have had short / medium hair for the past 15 years and even though I have wanted it long, I could never find the patience to grow it out. The day of my appointment, Emily walked me through the whole process (from color matching to maintenance). I am completely blown away with the results and haven't stopped smiling since I left the salon a few days ago. My hair is naturally curly so I was a bit concerned about how the extensions and my hair would mesh together. Emily blended the two so well that you can't tell which is my hair and the extensions. I feel younger and have gotten many compliments from friends and family already saying how natural they look. I would highly recommend EMILY and this method to anyone wanting longer hair or just a fun change. EMILY IS THE BEST.

And this was the color that they thought was fine enough to let me leave with the first time

I want to begin with saying that I slept on if I should write this review or not. I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a salon at Volume Salon. My appt was set for noon yesterday and I went in with high hopes. I arrive about 10 mins early and I sat with designated stylist. We discussed what I wanted (see added photos) and then began. During our session, she would also be assisting another client, which I said was fine. 4 hours later, my hair is orange. She doesn't think it looks bad and was going to send me on my way. I told her I needed it lighter (I used the word "rusty" at first instead of "orange" to be polite). She had to finish her other client, which was fine, and then try to fix my hair. Neither of us were happy and I was very uncomfortable. When we "finished" the "fix", she said she had another client so she wouldn't be able to blow dry alone and had someone assist her. I had two people pulling on each side of my head with a blow dryer. It was pretty horrible. I had had enough and eventually said "I just want to go home" as I had been there for 6 hours total already and I still did not have the hair I had asked for. The part that bothered me the most is that the man (which I assume was the owner) that was clearly in charge could see that I was visibly upset. He did not try to help. And he charged me full price. I don't mind paying any amount for something that I WANT. But to leave and cry in my car, to have spent 6 full hours out of my day and then to not feel like they were concerned that I did not like my hair..that was really what got me. I will attach the photo of what I asked for, the orange color that they were going to let me leave with, the final product and the receipt (I did tip her $120 because I felt bad that she had to work...that was not a reflection of the "well done" job she had done..it was just the right thing to do).

Thank you so much yelp reviewers as I got to know about the salon from Yelp! Andreia is AMAZING!!! I loved the way she cared for my hair. I chose layers style but i did not want to reduce d length as well. So she made sure she understands d details on what i wanted and she gave her best...i simply love d way my layers bounce now! I will definitely be returning...

Paid $300 for this awful cut and "paint" job!

Spent $250 for a partial painting and cut with Sarah. Straightened my hair and was unhappy with the results. Went back so she could do the bottom part of my v layered hair cut. Didn't really fix much and was charged for the product. So this is what I got for $300 from a stylist with 10 years experience!

Dena cuts my hair (super thick, layered, not easy to do!) and always masters the cut perfectly.

Walked in, it wasn't packed, and I appreciated that -- you could tell they were actually focused on their clients and not just rushing through back to back. They offered me something to drink while I waited and the green tea with lavender was really good!! Mark was my stylist -- he was professional, friendly, and easy to talk to. He gave me a great haircut and one of the best blowouts I've ever had. And I mean that. I have very long, thick, wavy textured hair and a blowout alone never cuts it for me. I always have to follow up with a flat iron. That's a big deal for my hair type. I left with my hair looking amazing and didn't need to touch it. Also the products made my hair smell amazing! I was charged extra for longer hair but I expected it and the price was fair. Most importantly, I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable the whole time. This salon deserves their flowers -- highly recommend.

She said after she blow dried it she hoped it was lighter. Then she said she could do highlights and told me a price, I didn't want to have to pay for my hair again for her mistake! I wanted my hair looking nice because I was having surgery on Tuesday, June 16, 2026! It will be a 4 to 6 week recovery. I have never had my hair looking so bad. It looked better before I had it done. I am very disappointed and sad. Yvonne

I was thoroughly impressed by the covid safety precautions of this place and their wonderful service. I went to Mo2 for a haircut after the phase to re-open hair salons happened. My hair was a mess with split ends etc since it had been awhile so I sucked it up and made an appointment. I was afraid to go in but I was really relieved with the amount care they took to make sure everyone was safe. They were specific about their check ins so there weren't too many people there all at once. Everyone was masked, there was 6 ft distancing between customers and air filter machines. I felt really safe there even though I was very apprehensive at first. Moving onto the haircut- I don't think I will go to anybody else other than Mohsen after he did wonders with my hair. I am picky about my hair and had quite a few specifications and Mohsen listened and asked if everything was looking the way I wanted every step of the way. I wasn't afraid to share my thoughts and he was really attentive about what I asked for. He even taught me a few tricks on how to make my hair look perfect when I'm on my own! ! I was so happy and received many compliments from friends and family afterwards. Also the trick he taught me (I asked for wispy bangs) was a life savior as getting bangs to look good after a shower can be extremely frustrating!) If you want an amazing haircut and plenty of helpful advice for your hair to go along with it, I would highly recommend this place and Mohsen!

I had even provided photos of my daughter's hair in advance, so there was no surprise or misunderstanding. Further, the "master" stylist was very rude and accusatory when he approached me about retroactively charging us. Mind you he was the one I showed the pictures to, as well as the one who submitted the payment slips to the young women at the front desk. Changing prices after the fact is unfair and unacceptable. It also raises serious concerns about discriminatory pricing practices. Customers deserve transparency and honesty, not hidden or after-the-fact charges. I would not recommend this salon to anyone who values professionalism, fairness, and respect.

They charged my card, I didn't realize they did not give my daughter the receipt, so she went back in to retrieve the receipt. I noticed the total was off from what we normally pay. They added a fee that I was not made aware of and was never previously charged this fee. No apology, I was told it's a "new policy" and it's a fee for using the products. How is anyone supposed to know that when you request for a shampoo blow dry & style, you need to pay additional for the shampoo, conditioner & styling products? You would think that in a service that is called a "Shampoo Blow dry & Style that this would be included. It's unfortunate, I liked our service provider, Brianna but the customer service or lack of customer service is the reason I decided to cancel the remaining appointments. The girl that canceled my appointments did smile while doing so and was happy to cancel them for me. Very disappointing.
