The ordering experience: I was asking how many flavors I can get for the half or full order. The guy kept on saying, its up to you how many flavors. When I selected my flavors he seems confused, I asked it again, he said the same thing. So I gave him my breakdown again. He told me our chicken is quire expensive to order that many. I reclarified it with him, how many flavors can I get for a half or full order? Thats the only time he said, oh, its 1 flavor for 10 pcs (half). Ordered half crispy wings (soy garlic - sauce on the side) and the yangnyeom wings. The price is more expensive than your typical chicken wings place such as firewings or wingstop. I ordered to-go so I am expecting about 15 mins wait to get the order done which was done about the expected time. The food: Got home and unpacked.thr food. The expectation was fairly high given that they are more expensive than the my go to wings place. One thing that is impressive is that the crispy wings looked and tasted crispy, and they got quite big size wings. However, a big flag to me was they never included the soy garlic sauce on the side. I purposely did that as I wanted to share my wings to my little boy who only likes plain chicken. The other flavor was all sauced up. First bite, i was surprised to get a bland taste. No seasoning, no saltiness. It's chicken tossed in their crispy batter then fried. I didnt expected it to be that bad for the price I paid. But I do wanted to give them a chance since there wasnt any sauce on the crispy chicken. I then took a bite on the yangnyeom wings... and to my dismay, the meat is tasteless. The sauce is ok, but the chicken meat is nothing to be desired. Super dissapointed with this considering their high price point. I'm surprised they are getting 4 star review from other customers. I called them to let them know of my experience and that they forgot to add sauce to my order. To my surprise, the only thing that they offered is a 10% discount on my next visit which I declined as I am not planning on ordering again. Back to Firewings or would even pick Wingstop over Von's chicken. Honestly, this is wasted money. For 20 pcs, I spent about $38 which I could have gotten a lot more from the other stores. read more

f you're thinking of being healthy and ordering the Ssam chicken, this is what you get for $32. While the chicken is tasty, I'm not sure I'd spend $32 on it. The way it's photographed on the menu, it looks like a generous buffet. On the plus side, my husband was able to satisfy his fried chicken craving, which he said was delicious, while I had a healthy option. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The store was clean. The staff were nice. If I could rate those separately, I'd give it 5 stars. Now for the food. We ordered both the Crunch Fried Chicken and Crispy Fried Chicken, amongst a couple sides. The wing size was decent but there was no consistency in the batter. In fact our Crispy Fried Chicken looked twice the size of the Crunch Fried Chicken - all batter with little meat on the bone. When we first read the menu, we saw it would have a soy garlic glaze. However our family couldn't taste anything but fried batter. We ended up having to make some homemade sauce and toss the wings in a bowl. The Crispy Fried Chicken wasn't too bad. This definitely had more flavor than the last, but lacked a little salt. No big deal though as we our family had different tolerances for salt. read more

We have bought fried chicken here and its a little pricy compared ti to Popeyes or Church but you get more options and good quality chicken and they were good. Best to call and order ahead of time so you just pickup and no wait. Came back a year later and I AM WRONG last time. Ordered the same chicken and it was very tasty this time around. The service was very fast, professional, and very customer-friendly. They also added the traditional Korean food, so we ordered ramen and tofu soup in addition. The food taste authentic. On top of everything, the restaurant's environment is greatly improved and I felt very comfortable. For the price, after going through a couple of Korean restaurants in the bay, Vons Chicken is very reasonable with great portion. Also it's the only Korean restaurant in vallejo!! I'm glad I gave Von Chicken a second try and so happy I don't have to drive all the way to the bay for great Korean food now! Highly recommend! read more

OMG! After an outdoor concert/festival day; tired and hungry we stopped in Vallejo and found a little Korean gem! Clean, simple decor, extremely friendly servers (and welcoming owner) with delicious food, what more can you ask for? We ordered the Japchae with pork, BBQ Beef Short Ribs, 1/2 order of Gangnyum Chicken wings (medium spicy) and 1/2 order Crunch Fried Chicken, of course the meal came with an array of ban-chan. Well, I *said* we were hungry, but a family of five wouldn't have been able to finish all of it! Huge portions, all of it absolutely delightful. The Japchae was a good mix of veggies and noodles perfectly seasoned. The BBQ Short Ribs were perfectly cooked; juicy with a nice underlying flavor of soy sauce without being too salty. The Gangnyum Chicken wings (medium spicy) were the perfect spice level for me, just enough to "kick it up a notch". (I'm kindof a spice wuss.) The SO *loved* the Crunch Fried Chicken, incredibly crunchy and delectable fried chicken exterior with a moist and juicy interior. Overall, a fantastic meal for a reasonable price.
