I think it's ridiculous when the store closes at 11 it does not provide all services until 11 for instance the meat department closes at 10 if the store is open till 11 the store should be open with all services until 11 read more

I just want to let everyone know that we found little nats in the donut containers. I spoke to one of the bakery employees and she stated that they know there's a problem and have taken the donuts out and cleaned the cases but the nats haven't gone away. read more

I just can't say enough about this store. It has the nicest, most friendly people who work here. I love the meat counter it always has what ever I want or need. Very nice people but I'm not too happy with the bakery here. I ordered my cake 4 days in advanced. On the day that I was supposed to pick it up, "the baker didn't make my cake" they couldn't find my receipt. Luckily I had mines! I am normally not a complainer. In fact, when people are rude to me, i normally brush it off and walk away. However, this afternoon, i have never felt so embarassed and humiliated in my entire life. I went into vons on kings canyon and clovis (store number: 1754) to purchase the crest that was on special for .99 cents. I was going to purchase 10 tubes. The cashier, Xavier, asked his manager, Horacio, who was at the checkstand next to him if there was a limit since i was using coupons. Horacio responded that since I was using coupons I can only use 4 coupons. I was fine with that, and I told Xavier that I will only purchase 4 tubes of toothpaste. The bagger proceeded to ask Horacio about the deal on their ALL detergent. He told her it was on sale for $1.99 but all the couponers are coming in with their $1 coupon to try and score them for .99 cents a piece. He looked at me and proceeded to walk away. As he walked away I can hear him mumble under his breath "fucking asian couponers". I was so shocked that he would say that, let alone say it in front of me. I quickly made my purchased and left. Now as a consumer, i was disappointed in the leadership and customer service that Horacio displayed. Not only did he display horrible customer service and leadership infront of his staff and several other shoppers, he humiliated me for using coupons. Because of my horrible experience, i highly doubt that I will ever be shopping at Vons, specifically this location, ever again. Shortly after my nightmare experience at Vons, a fellow hispanic couponer received a different shopping experience. She said that they allowed her to purchase 20 bottles of snuggle and was able to use 20 coupons. read more

I'm disappointed!! Went shopping at Vons today and an older white cashier name Kelly was very rude. She acknowledged the customer(white lady) in front of me and she was having a ongoing conversation with that customer. After the customer paid, Kelly looked right at me then turn her head to start scanning my items. Already feeling awkwardly because she gave me a disgusted look, I then walked toward her after putting my stuffs on the belt and say "hello!" out loud. Kelly didn't even look at me and ignored me the whole time. The gentleman behind me saw the whole thing and he gave me a smile as I glance back. I felt so embarrassed!! As I watched her scanning my stuffs, after each scan she threw the item harshly toward the nice gentleman that were bagging my stuffs. Great little grocery store. Everyone is so nice and helpful, and they have great specials on soda and cereal. Some things are pricer, but the store has a fresh, clean quality. You cant find that at food max. The bakery isn't as great as some other super market bakeries, but they make a killer loaf of french bread. A little pricy, but a calm and enjoyable shopping experience. The only problem i could see was that they need more checkers on a thursday evenijg. But i know and understnd in this economy, thats probably hard to do. Less people for more tasks. The workers seem to be working and we have been through the same ladys line the past two times we went there. I forgot her name, but she is a tall blonde with long hair and slender. She is always so nice, and even reccomended something cheaper for the same taste. Never going to food max again. read more

By far the best grocery store I have experienced. It was like a 5 star hotel experience. Customer service was thru the roof. very peaceful atmosphere. Worth the extra 1,or 2$ difference. Great service here. The lighting is relaxing and the aisles are clear. It's more expensive than a discount grocery store, but they will bag your groceries for you and help you out to the car. This Vons also has a Starbucks, though their drinks are never quite right. Go across the street to the real Starbucks if you want your coffee fix. read more

The staff is always so friendly! Jennifer was my cashier today and she was very pleasant to work with. The selection of grocery items and alcohol items is great. Not to mention they have a Panda Express and Starbucks inside the store. The lines are always fast and one line is too long, they never hesitate to open another line. Only two cashier checkout lanes open, one for 15 limit and one for under 15 items both with at least 6 people in line for an hour and refusing to open up another checkout lane when you have 10 available and multiple workers just standing around doing nothing. Unacceptable. Asked them to open up another lane and the worker said it's not her decision, she can't do anything about it. I think they do this just to torture the workers they don't like. This Vons/Safeway store has management staff with poor customer service skills. Our family had ordered the pre-cooked turkey dinners that this store offers. On Thanksgiving Day my mother and cousin went down to the store to pick up the dinner and was told by the deli clerk (after waiting for 10min) that there was no more turkeys left. The assistant manager seems bothered that my family wanted to speak to him. He and the deli manager had no explaination for this mixup! We will never shop there again! read more

Reviewing the deli. Nice alternative to sandwich-only shops. Helpful staff with a wider variety of breads, cheeses (I counted 8), and meats than I see at the sandwich shops. They were also making the pre-made sandwiches while I was there, boosting confidence to how fresh they would be during that lunch period. read more

I prepaid for a cake a week ago. Went to pick up the cake today and THEY DID NOT HAVE IT! The employee that was working in the bakery offered NO EXPLANATION or APOLOGY. Ghetto!!! I was a little nervous when I pulled into the parking lot and found people loitering, security guard on his phone chatting not work related, and a man going car to car asking to wash your car with w bag or yellow fluid and a squeegee... Had a bad feeling. Finished up an ok shopping experience and quickly loaded groceries as there were multiple loiterers at 7pm on a Saturday evening in 105 heat. Left my wallet in the cart near my parking spot. Returned 15 minutes later to find it gone... Checked with security who was no where to be found after manager tracked him down, cart return guys... Manager was just sorry. No offer to review cameras, no excuse for security not doing job....abandoned cart with car wash materials found later behind the store, he probably took my wallet and left his materials. I canceled cards, but multiple cards have been used in various locations within an hour!!! Vons needs to clean up their parking lot and get new security. I won't be back to this location! read more

I dont shop much at vons but do go their for cake order and party orders. Placed an order in the deli for chicken snack platter and fruit platter. When i went to pickup they misplace my order and only made a fruit tray. I went ahead and cancely whole order and had it all refunded back to me. The manager richard olivia was kind enough to make it up to me by giving me the fruit tray including my refund. I was really impress with the customer service he put out!
