Walked in yesterday around 4:30pm and I already knew exactly what I needed to buy. I got 6 to 7 items from different sections. Got Spicy Tuna Roll (count of 8), ($9.99), from their ready made food section, nice size Watermelon,($5.99), was on sale for ($3.99). then I got bag of Peaches ($5.99), count of 7. I also got 2 regular size of Peanut M&M's,$4.29), was on sale 2 for $4.00. Simply light Orange Juice, 45oz.($5.49), Cherry Tomatoes,($3.99), and that was all that I bought on this visit. My cashier was Silvia and she was pleasant, sweet with a nice smile. Store was fully stocked and organized. Aisles were easy to navigate and store was also very clean with nice music playing overhead. My only critique is that there is only one register that's open. However, the line was moving very fast. Had my own bag, and didn't get charged the ridiculous 10 cents for it. All my grocery items came down to $29.56. I saved $2.00 with my rewards program. It's clean and organized. Prepackaged meals like sushi, even bbq pork buns and pretzel bread sandwiches are right by the entrance. The employees are also helpful and warm. Glad to see this location has self check out. Plenty of parking and If you exit onto Laurel Canyon Blvd, there's a traffic light for easy left turns. This Vons Store location was well stocked and very clean. The thing I liked the most about this store was the floral shop. They had really nice bouquets to buy. This store like any other Vons store has a deli department and Bakery department. The bakery department has a variety of cakes and pastries. Service was good. Cashier who helped me was very nice and friendly. I was greeted right away and felt welcomed. For parking, this location has a private parking lot shared with other stores and restaurants. I visited on a Saturday afternoon. It was easy to find a parking spot. read more

11/15/25 Advertised buy two Lays products and get two free in flyer and on displays throughout the store. Tried to charge full price and then claimed that it was a "digital coupon. I have not been here in quite some time. Whenever i am in the area, i might sometime stop by here if i need something badly going home. I was here recently picking up some stuff from a friends invite party. I used to shop here alot when i lived in North Hollywood back in the days. They always have good sales here on food every week. I stopped by this Vons this morning while waiting for the pizza place across the street to open. This Vons is in a plaza with a lot of parking so I prefer parking here. I went inside to get some flour tortilla and was looking for a salsa brand that I usually get from Vons but this store didn't have it. So I got another one to try it out and it's pretty good. There a Starbucks in this Vons but it doesn't have a lot of options for drinks. They have a checkout station but the line wasn't moving so I went to the cashier station since they just open a new station because they saw the line was backing up. I went here because I was craving some pre made Rotisserie chicken. I came in and the staff was perhaps the most depressed looking staff I have ever seen. I then went home and attempted to eat the Rotisserie chicken. The chicken was totally inedible and had a very strange texture. I have eaten chicken out of a dumpster that tasted better. Judging by the fact there are a lot of negative reviews it seems to be I am not the only one not satisfied with this Vons. Something is seriously wrong here and I recommend corporate or the FDA or any other reputable authorities take a look. Service at this store is never good but tonight I was super annoyed. Went in there at 6:30pm and literally one lane open. The line was crazy long. A woman comes over and calls for cashiers. Then she instructs us to go to the express line. Customers rush over and the cashier tells us she won't be servicing us as she's done. The woman who told us to all leave the long line looks at us with a blank expression and says she shouldn't have told us to leave the line. So I ask if she's going to walk us back into the other line and she stares at me as if I asked her to solve a complicated calculus problem on the spot. She just keeps repeating herself without understanding anything I'm saying. So I look back at the original line that now has 7-8 full carts ahead of me when I was next to begin with and told to come to another line. End of the world? No. But a huge pain in the butt so I just left and went to Ralph's. Maybe teaching an employee how to not move people without talking to a cashier first? I don't shop at this Vons very often as it seems their price point is a bit higher than other places in the area but I have been in a few times over the past few weeks. I haven't encountered many, if any wait times here at all, and while they may not be completely stocked (actually witnessed one of the saddest moments here very early on) they do have items you may need. Evening male manager on a Sunday night is abusive/unprofessional. I was trying to clarify why an item isn't listed on Uber Eats. The phone call was initially pleasant/helpful until I was given conflicting info. Another employee the previous day (sounded like a woman) suggested they don't have anything to do with what is displayed on Uber Eats & "corporate handles it". She did NOTHING to offer help with the fact that the organic celery I was trying to purchase for delivery (due to being disabled) is not on the Uber Eats app despite Uber telling me that it's up to the merchant to let them know what is in stock for purchase (which makes sense). This night time male sounding manager said that they can put in the request to have the items updated through corporate but then double down on the fact that corporate handles these things and "they" (the store) "have nothing to do with that" which confused me again. If the employees can request corporate to have it updated then they do have something to do with that process. They are responsible for notifying corporate when their inventory needs to be updated on the Uber Eats app! How else would that be remedied if the store doesn't contact corporate?! After acknowledging what he said (the manager) by saying, "I understand what you're saying" he continued to internet me & loose his patience when I was attempting to suggest to him to simply say to the customers that they will put the request into corporate. I asked him if he was going to listen to me & he hung up on me. Why is this so hard to communicate to customers? How else will this be fixed if it isn't escalated to corporate? Simply brushing it off as "corporate handles that" without offering to escalate it such as the previous employee did, is completely irresponsible & avoidant. I keep trying this store. Some staff are lovely but others not so much. As noted in my photos I've received rotten produce and on occasion I'll realize items I've purchased here are expired. Last night I bought cold brew that has a label stating "reject if not sealed." I've purchased this item many items and it should have foil under the cap, it did not and it looked like someone may have already sipped a little. Plus it says use within 5-7 days after opening and it was already opened. So this morning I brought the cold brew back to the store and waited at the front desk not being acknowledged at all until finally I caught an employee and told him I needed to do a return. I was told to go to a register so I waited in line and the cashier didn't offer any apology about the situation, in fact was rather rude and seemed irritated that I was bringing back an item. I wasn't asking for any discount, just my money back, I had the receipt and was able to show the card I used. They should really work on their customer service. I'm the one that had to come back because they sold me a used product. Then again I saw a homeless man just pick out some fruit and eat it right there in the store today so for all I know maybe that's what happened to the cold brew haha. Von's are the worst grocery store ever. And this one takes the cake. They never have items in stock. Produce is pitiful. And the staff are worse than fast food employees. Slow and miserable looking. And they don't wear name tags so you can't complain. They will have 2 checkout lanes open. No one adhering to their "express" until I get up there after waiting 10 minutes to check out. So I had to remove my items and go to another lane, which they finally opened a third lane. I don't want to deal with employees when I'm doing personal shopping and trying to make money myself. This is a smaller store, compared to some of the other places you might be getting your groceries in the area. But it's a standard Vons inside the store. It's nice enough, and well maintained. I would say it's probably a 4 star grocery store. But wait, I just said it was 4 stars, but I only gave it 3? The mystery! There are some things about this store that bring it's rating down. The first, is that this Vons shares a parking lot with an entire strip mall that goes for almost an entire block. There's a GAP, a Chipotle, and a CVS as well as several other stores. So the place is BUSY! It can be very hard to find parking and even if you can find it you might be walking a ways to get to your car. Second, they seem to have a pretty limited selection of certain items. Their Hispanic foods section is pretty limited. Also, the canned food section is limited. They also don't have USDA prime meats. Just so you know. Lastly, they sometimes seem to do a poor job of stocking the shelves. There will be items missing, or the displays will just look sloppy. I do know that this is really the customers' fault, but it isn't as noticeable at other stores. read more

I can't with this tiny boutique style Vons... just walking in feels like a trap... I came here more to explore than to buy, planning on waling out with 2-3 items... left with 11 which was all I really needed... everything was organized in a condensed manner as this is probably the world's smallest Vons location... Things are definitely marked up here (a few cents to a dollar) compared to neighboring locations and a lot of things are constantly out of stock... I can't believe the lack of vegetarian and vegan friendly products... this is Studio City there are vegan/vegetarian friendly or even themed restaurants and options for days... why are you even here Vons... go home... you're drunk.... Trader Joe's thank you for never letting us down. I tried to seek out help here for things I couldn't find or figure out... but the employees/Studio City Von's crew seem more concerned with non-work related issues. Myth buster... I never would've thought I'd do my Christmas shopping here. I didn't know you can get their "6 bottle" discount rate by mixing and matching any 6 bottles. I always thought in order to get their "6 bottle" rate you had to get 6 of the same bottle. Not true. Mix and match to your heart's content. This particular Vons is a bit shady due to the increase in homeless people and drug dealers around the area. I only come here if I am in need of a few things as it is the closest Vons that caters to my neighborhood. Produce selection is very limited and the store itself is pretty small compared to other Vons stores that I have patronized. I recommend the Sepulveda and Devonshire location. Or maybe a few miles down to the Toluca Lake/Burbank location as the service quality and products are better. read more

I bought a gift card using 300$ of my hard earned cash. As soon as i paid, i stepped aside and opened it to make sure it was good to go, a old, used card came out, the numbers scratched, and the strip rendered un-swipeable due to damage. I alerted the cashier immediately. A manager of hispanic decent, (never got his name, when he asked he didn't reply) came, and told me there is nothing he can do, and i have to call the card issuers, all within 2 minutes of me handing over my cash. I told him that this is a scam, and the credit issuers wont resolve it, you cant even get a human on the phone. This manager knew it, he wanted me to leave the store after they had stolen my money outright due to thier negligence of not checking gift cards they have on their shelves. The manager was smirking the whole time at my dielma. Upon not leaving the store, & almost calling the police, a higher up manager approached. The higher up manager decided to give me a new card, however the Hispanic manager was still fighting it, insisting they should not give me a refund. The Hispanic manager fought till the end to not hand a refund intentionally. He discussed With the higher up manager how they will have to take the loss, instead of passing it on to me..... That was a display of absolute Nastiness and disregard for a customer who has shopped at this store for years. Karma is swift, and i pray and hope that this manager has his day.
