I wanted to write about my experience with Dr. Voss. I couldn't believe what I read here because it wasn't my experience at all, and I will share my experience anyway. I have recently gone to Dr. Voss again. I waited awhile to verify results, and yes, they are the same as before, beyond expectation. I rarely write, good or bad on Yelp, but decided that people out there deserve to know about Dr. Voss. It is rare to find both scientific and sensitive traits within the same person, but Dr. Voss has both. She did everything to make me feel comfortable and normal in this type of situation. During the procedure, she talked to me, told me what to expect, and did all she could to make me feel the least discomfort, mentally and physically. I look 15 years younger to myself and that is good enough for me. People 20 years younger than me have told me that I look younger than them, and by looking at them and comparing myself in the mirror, I have to agree sometimes. No brag, just fact. I am AMAZED and happy. Not that there's anything wrong with looking older, of course, but in its own time. Not today. Dr. Voss is seriously devoted to her profession and improving the lives of others. She is down-to-earth, easy to talk to, kind, and highly experienced. Just as a side note, she graduated at the top of her class. I wanted to feel better about myself, to look better in my own skin. Dr. Voss helped me. I will never be a Marilyn Monroe, but at least I am a cute brunette now. I feel better about myself and am more confident. I trust her judgment and her sincere concern for my well-being. Dr. Voss is excellent at what she does. It doesn't get any better than that. I feel healthier, too, and have found that I want to take better care of myself. She has a great sense of humor, too. If you want to know what it's like to meet Dr. Voss, think of Sandra Lee. Meeting Dr. Voss is like meeting someone you will instantly recognize as being approachable and absolutely non-judgmental. She wants to help. Kind is the first thought I have of her. I had not seen her for almost a year and she remembered me. A big famous Dr. like that? She treated me like I was the celebrity. Dr. Voss' has also chosen her staff well. They were all courteous, kind, and patient. The treatment is expensive, but it is worth it. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Voss for over ten years, mainly to check for sin cancer due to sun damaged skin. She has treated two areas of basal cell carcinoma, one on my leg and one on my chest. In both cases she was able to get rid of the cancer through non surgical means, for which I am very happy. Ten years ago she diagnosed 15 pre-cancer spots on my face, so I decided to have laser resurfacing surgery. Since the surgery my face has been clear of any pre-cancer or cancer. Even though resurfacing is considered a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by insurance, I am glad I had it done. I have found Dr. Voss to be very personable and professional. She is always willing to take the time to explain procedures and discuss options. She has also treated several of my friends who have thanked me, as she was able to detect skin cancers that had previosly been missed. As a side note, Dr. Voss is responsible for discovering my heart murmur, something none of my general physicians had been able to detect. It was suggested that I see a cardiologist and when I did, he commented that the physician who detected the murmur was very thorough. I can only conclude that Dr. Voss is a thorough, caring and knowledgeable physician. read more

I have had excellent success with Dr Voss. She is professional and thorough. On first meeting, she checked my body top to toe, and noted several spots on my back (which I could not see) which require watching, My previous dermatologist of 30 years never checked my whole body or noted by back. Dr Voss has treated my rosacea and acne very well. My skin looks years younger and healthier. She also removed a wart from my hand (insurance covered) and a millia/sebacouse zit from my chest (not covered by insurance). She also performed a chin liposuction on me which has transformed my profile. Relatively low pain, fast recovery - natural looking -it really worked for me. I look like "my old self" again. Dr Voss gets to the point quickly - I appreciate that she doesn't waste my time, and I find her personable - but if you are looking for a warm and fuzzy, she might not be a fit for you. One note - the office can get backed up. I have never had to wait long, but I know others who have had a sizeable wait. read more

I consider Julie Voss to be one of the best if not the best Dermatologist I have ever seen! She is not only extremely personable, but also very through, and extremely patient. I have being seeing her for quiet sometime and I always refer friends and family. Unlike some doctors every time I see Dr. Voss I never feel rushed and always feel like I can ask questions and discuss procedures freely. In fact, I actually met Dr. Voss almost 20 years ago when she was a resident and I was so impressed with her that when I was looking for a Dermatologist she was the first person I thought of. I have always been extremely satisfied with Dr. Voss's work and I definitely recommend Dr. Voss and NW Face to anyone looking for a great Dermatologist and an extremely courteous and friendly staff! read more

I'v been seeing Julie Voss for a few years now which is saying alot. Dr. Voss is an artist she will tell you the truth- which to me is of utmost importance since alot of dr.'s will tell you what you want to hear or suggest things you don't need. She also has a keen ear for what you are trying to communicate- what your desired outcome is and what is possible towards that goal and/or if its not possible- she will tell you. She is a warm capable experienced surgeon- don't mistake her reserved nature for being arrogant- she is warm caring and oh so capable- she has helped me beyond my expectations to realizing my goals of self improvement as i am nearing my 50's and people often can't believe that- i will continue to see Julie Voss she is the best at what she does. read more

from Bob Gray! Dr. Julie Voss has been my Dermatologist and Plastic Surgeon for more than 15 years. My problem has been numerous Basal Cell Carcinoma. I have found Dr. Voss to be excellent in detecting and treating this problem, and outstanding as a Surgeon. NW Face is the place to go for outstanding care and Dr. Voss is person to see. She and the staff are incredible. Every time I come in for a visit I feel like I'm being greeted by old friends and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. Dr. Voss takes great pride in helping people, cares deeply, spends as much as needed to explain options and makes sure you have every possible way to reach her as one of her patients. I recently went to Dr. Voss for a procedure and cannot say enough about her and her staff. They were incredibly kind and upbeat. Dr. Voss was so friendly and genuinely happy that she was able to take care of the problem that I had. She discussed the procedure thoroughly with me to ensure I didn't have questions or concerns. Then the day after the procedure she called me to make sure that I was feeling good and to ensure I didn't have any problems or questions. I would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone. I highly recommend Dr. Voss. She is knowledgeable, kind, and experienced. I have seen her twice...almost 1 year apart, and she remembered me. I will be going back for other procedures sooner now and I am returning to NW just because of her. She made me feel comfortable and was always concerned about how I felt. I've seen half a dozen dermatologists over the years and Dr. Voss is my favorite, hands down. She cares about solving your problem and she believes in anaesthesia; my electrodessication procedure felt like a series of small pinches rather than a series of fiery agonies. Her skin care plan for me is simple and inexpensive. Thanks to Dr. Voss my skin looks great. If you want nicer skin but have never been to a dermatologist, make an appointment with Dr. Voss. It costs less than you think and you get to wear the results 24 hours a day. read more

I found Dr Voss to be personable and easy to work with. The procedure that I had was a CO2 Laser Resurfacing. All went as was described beforehand. Only time will tell if the results will live up to expectations, i.e. that cells causing actinic keratosis have been destroyed. NW Face office staff could improve on their customer service as it relates to scheduling followup visits. Getting to Kirkland from Sequim at 9 Am just does not work. After some discussion the necessary changes were made in the schedule. read more

I started with Dr. Voss last month- *(I had to wait a month to get an appointment however due to her time-constraints across both kirkland and seattle clinics). She is professional and caring and was able to assess my case and prescription very quickly and put me on a treatment plan that seems reasonable. I have had good success with the prescription and creams (she also indicated alternatives should my insurance not cover one of the prescriptions) and am due for a follow-up soon. read more

After years of going to two great dermatologists for my psoriasis, I had given up hope that I'd ever be able to get it under control. All the treatments we tried were unsuccessful. Dr. Voss at NW Face has been my dermatologist for almost 10 years. I see her at least twice a year. She is very professional, knowledgeable, and keeps up on the latest research and methods. She is also caring, funny, and accommodating. I went for a consult for Coolsculpting and met with Melissa. She was great at explaining the procedure, answering my questions and making me feel comfortable. I have heard great things about the office from friends and was pleased with the service I received. She is great! I have been a patient for five years and had three surgeries to remove moles (basal cell carcinoma). The surgeries (forehead, ear and back) were not painful and left no scars (damn). She always followed up with phone call the evening after the surgery. Dr. Voss is very professional with a great sense of humor and an outstanding staff. read more
