I really wanted to love this place... The interior is very pretty inside and you can tell that they definitely clean the place up which is what I appreciated and made me decide to come in here after being in the area. I liked the way my nails came out however I feel like Tom needs to learn some table side manners. I felt rushed the minute I got there even though there was still a few hours before closing. So, they ask you to pay after you are done drying which most salons ask you before they paint. So, I had to go into my wallet which caused the paint to get smudged. The lady working at the front desk (a young blonde) was extremely nice but when she told Tom who did my nails that it needed to be fixed he literally said "Oh my god" and scolded me on the fact that it got messed up although I was previously told that it was dry. I also heard one of the other techs going back and forth with this lady who felt that her eye brows weren't done correctly. So, I like the way my nails came out, I don't think the prices are bad and the interior of the place is really nice. I might try it again if I'm in the area but maybe with a different tech in hopes that they are a bit more customer service oriented. read more

A few months ago I started going here regularly to see Sally. She did such an awesome job. I called earlier this week to schedule an appointment with sally which they said ok. I show up today and sally is not there and I didn't recognize anyone working there. There was a very kind gentleman who started doing my pedicure but was awful. I had to ask him to fix my toe polish after he walked away and blatantly saw that HE smudged my polish and thought I wouldn't notice. The same gentleman did my gel manicure which was even worse. I asked him twice to fix the shape of my nails and each time it was worse. I took the nail file and fixed it myself as best as I could. I feel like he didn't even care to work my cuticles. The polish is the worst part. He didn't cover my entire nail bed and left polish on my cuticles/ skin. Don't recommend this place to anyone. Oh and they definitely increased their prices. I had a manicure there and they have ruined my nails ... I hope not permanently but after three weeks I am afraid this is permanent. I had the remnants of a gel manicure on my natural nails. They did not use any acetone at all. They just used the "drill" that they use on articicial nails. They put gel on again. But as a result of the drilling my nails were as thin as paper and within 2 days they started to peel and crack and tear. They felt sore and bruised for more than two weeks. Now my nails will not grow, the white tips are completely gone and I have deep cracks in several places on several nails. I used to get compliments on how nice my nails looked and now they are an ugly mess. I have no idea how to fix this and I am afraid they will never be the same again. I brought my mom in to get a manicure and pedicure. We both got the same pedicure yet we each were provided different services. My tech left for at least 10 minutes to fix someone else's nails and somehow I was still finished my pedicure long before she was. I then got my manicure which seemed to be "normal" until the tech told me he would be right back and came back reeking of cigarette smoke. I asked to get my eyebrows waxed and during this process my one mail got messed up. They were very rude when I asked to have it fixed. I've been to a lot of nail salons and I've paid all the types of prices but I paid $60 for a dip manicure (add on for cuticle removal which is another issue honestly, and the matte top coat) and my dip has a bubble on my right pointer finger and now (less than 24hrs) my dip is cracked on my thumb. I've NEVER had a cracked dip even when I have dip on for 4 weeks. I'm so mad and disappointed for paying $60 for cracked dip and I'll have to get my nails fixed sooner than later. I would only come here if you In The area and literally have no other salon to go to !!! . This is owned by the same owners as luxury nails on the ave . A regular pedi and regular fill in and 1 nail repair for medium length nails is $70 ( no gel ) . Terrible place service per owner Michele!! Won't honor the coupon I was told to print by the front desk for 20% off. I printed it on 1/17/19 & came in at 5:30pm on 1/31/19. Front desk had to call the manager and ask if they could honor coupon and she stated no despite no expiration date on coupon anywhere!! I went in for a gel manicure and they gave me a regular manicure. They told me because I wrote Gel Nails on the sign in form that's why they got confused. I paid the difference for an actual gel manicure and the job that was done was done well, but the manager (?) at the front was rude to me and tried to make it seem like the mistake was my fault. She talked down to me in a condescending tone to explain To me I didn't even understand the service I was asking for. I told her, had she handled the situation differently I would have been a repeat customer, but her rudeness made me never want to come back. People work hard for their money. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. This type of treatment is a recipe for a business to fail. Hopefully they read this and take this as constructive criticism. I have been going to Vox Nails for over a year now and have been seeing one of the technicians for the past year. I made an appointment with her for a Saturday morning of which she said worked for her, that was on a Monday. She sent me a text about 40 minutes before my scheduled appointment that Saturday morning; however, I missed the text message because I was sleeping after working all night. When I got to the salon, she met me at the door with a snarl and said, I sent you a text didn't you get it!?. Of course I didn't get it because I was sleeping and didn't think she was going to cancel on me because she never has. She was like, I am not going to be able to see you because I am totally booked and wanted you to come next Thursday. Now mind you, I needed a manicure because it had already been over three weeks. I could not wait!! Then she was like, well come on since you're here, but you better be glad I had a cancellation. Imagine how that made me feel as we had already made the appointment days in advance. The way I was treated was totally uncalled for. Anyway, the whole time she was doing my nails, she did not part her lips. She was very rude to me and instead of giving me the palette to chose the color or as usual, asking me what I was looking to get, she dropped the palette on the table like I was a dog, and briskly walked away. Just now leaving this spot. My experience was sooo good. Tiffany was great! Got these 9 month pregnant dogs done. They so needed some TLC and she did an amazing job. Worst experience ever. I pretty much left here and cried. My friend and I both had appointments for pedicures and gel nails. We were both put in pedicure chairs and they got to work on her right away. I sat there for about 10 minutes doing nothing until my friend asked the girl who was doing her nails what was taking so long. She said because we didn't specify who I wanted to do my nails when we made the appointment that I got whoever was available. I watched another woman come in after me and get her pedicure done meanwhile I say there until the water was cold. My friend's pedi finished and was getting her nails done by the time someone came over and started my pedicure (50 minutes after I arrived). I asked for their basic pedi which included a massage, foot scrub etc. She laughed at my feet because they were pruny by the time she started. I said well I've been sitting in cold water for an hour. She didn't scrub my feet or give a massage and I still paid full price for the pedi even after I made it known that I was upset. I told them after all of that I didn't want gel nails and I just wanted to leave. It was a horrible experience and I'll never go back. read more

I do not recommend this place at all. I came here for just a regular manicure and it was $25, which if the service was great I could justify, but it was not the case at all. First off, when I walked in they asked me to pick a color as they always do, but literally 30 seconds later someone came up to me to pretty much tell me to hurry up and pick. I asked for another minute or two and the lady just demanded me to follow her. I thought maybe she had more colors in the back but no she just wanted me to have a seat to start. I felt very pressured. Second, in the manicure package It claims that I am allowed a choice of either a scrub, collagen gloves, or paraffin wax. I was not given this option and the lady just decided on one for me. (I only realized this fact after I was waiting on my nails to dry and I was reading their service menu). They also claim to do a 6 min massage but that wasn't true either. It lasted like two mins at most. Finally, the nail manicure itself was poorly done. She didn't even bother to wipe the excess polish off around my nail bed. For how much they are charging, I seriously suggest you never go here. read more

So i looked up nail salons in the area and based upon the services offered, chose this salon and made an appointment. My first time treating myself to any pampering since having my baby. I arrive on time, the technician isn't ready but will only be a few minutes, great no problem. I pick out my color while waiting. First color choice, the do no have despite it being an option to choose, okay no biggie again, choose a close alternative. Getting a mani and a pedi the young lady takes me to the manicure station and asks if i have a picture of what i want. I show it her and she says she cannot do a marble design, disappointed but that's ok, i said we could figure something simple out for that one finger. She them gets up and said let's do the pedicure first. As we're walking to the pedicure station she asks a few other technicians about the marble nail design, despite my insistence that it was ok. I sit in the chair and she struggles with getting the water turned on for a bit, then asks if she can go eat for 10 minutes while my feet soak. Im not evil so i say of course. She comes back after 25 minutes to start my feet, 55 minutes after my appointment time. I mention in getting a specialty pedicure and she confusingly looks around before a man interjects and explains that she is new and doesn't know where things are located, no problem. She does a decent job on my pedicure, except she moved so slowly Thai i never got the special foot mask i wanted because it was taking so long. I'm annoyed at this point as I've been there nearly 2 hours for what turned out to be a basic pedicure, but i really wanted to pamper myself so i push forward. I go sit in the manicure station and wait another 10 minutes for her to come, another annoyance because she knew i was tight on time and even tried to refuse my manicure at one point because i was running late (if I'm spending my money, me running late is my concern. I never once asked her to stop, i asked her to remove am extra service because her time management skills were poor). We sit down to start my nails and she glues the nails down and immediately cuts them at noticably different lengths. At that point id had enough. Even other patrons were shaking their head and apologizing because i was so frustrated. I asked the man in charge if there was anyone else available to do my nails and he flippantly replied no and because i was in a rush (never mentioned that to him), no one could help me. So i just say to take the uneven nails off my fingers so i can leave. I get up to pay and she initially tried to charge me for the full pedicure that i didn't receive but her boss corrected her quickly. I will never go back here. I understand the young lady was new and i remained polite through several issues, but the lack of customer service, especially in light of her lack of skills and mistakes is just too much. I didn't even receive verbal acknowledgment of my frustration. Take your money to the salon across the street. I LOVE this place; It is always clean and neat. I have been to many salons throughout the years, and this is by far the BEST. The ladies are always kind and friendly. My nail tech., Sun, is the absolute best. I always schedule an appointment with her. She is always prompt. If she is running late, she will text me ahead of time. Her work is truly outstanding. At 530 I am approached by the recept... that she has "bad news" the woman that was going to do my pedicure had to leave and there was no one who was available to do it ( mind you the shop had plenty of techs) she told me she could call over to their other location in the Avenue and get me a spot there. I told her that was fine, so she did call and was told they were booked. So after waiting close to an hour I left without any service. There was not even an attempt to set up an appointment for the following day or any kind of compensation for essentially wasting my time. Last week My granddaughter and I went in for mani/pedi. Lu did my nails and he did a horrible messy job. I complained to him that my nails looked messy and he did things like try to scrape polish off of my cuticles with a file, apply over coat, etc but he never removed the messy nails polish and replace. My pedicure was a mess as well. I called Michelle three days ago and she's never returned my call. This is my fourth time there and the second time I received bad service. I received 3 gift cards from there from my husband and I used one of them for my granddaughter and my last visit. I'm going back to cash the other two in. If they do not call and/or redo my nails I will see them in small claims court. read more

Aesthetically pleasing salon. The girl who does my nails does a great job. But they overcharge and nickel and dime. For example, I was charged an extra $5 for gel polish removal on my toes, even tho I got the gel pedi done there. Not sure how else I would get it off/ get a new pedi without having it removed. My biggest concern is that I have had an issue with payment twice and I don't think it is any coincidence. My card was swiped for an extra $100 over my total the first time, despite the fact that the correct total was on the itemized receipt that was presented to me for payment. I caught it when I went to sign the signature slip. The lady initially denied it, but after showing her the difference on the receipts and showing her the transaction that I had pulled up on my mobile banking app, she refunded me. I liked my nails so I went back. This time, I made sure to bring cash to pay. When paying I accidentally handed an extra bill and immediately noticed and asked for it back. I was told, by the same lady as before that she didnt "have any extra money" despite the fact that I had literally just handed it to her. She didnt even offer to go back and count or check or anything. I was told a mgr wasnt available. I will not be going back following this second incident. I am big on customer service and neither of these experiences were great. Especially considering that we are talking about them essentially taking extra money from me. I will not be returning. I know that I am only one customer and it will not make much difference for them but I do not appreciate them playing with my money and thought I should warn others to pay attention... read more
