I'm writing this review and I didn't even get a repair from VP appliance! We have a GE Profile range that has a broken knob and burner that doesn't work. I called to see if I could have someone come out. Vlad told me he was completely booked, but then asked me to describe the problem in more detail. He proceeded to talk me through the steps to to diagnose the issue , figure out what part I might need and even which specialty stores to get it from! If I can't figure it out on my own, I definitely will be calling him back to come out and fix my range when his schedule allows. read more

A couple of weeks after buying a house of course the dishwasher stopped working. I looked on YELP and found VP repair. He was able to schedule us pretty quickly, and based upon my description of the problem was already prepared with parts we might need. However, because of the previous owner's installation of the tile floor it was hard for him to get the dishwasher out to repair it. He did not want to risk breaking anything so he said that if I could get the washer out with my husband then he would come back out at no additional charge. My husband and I were able to pull the counter up to get the dishwasher out, and the next day the repairman was able to come out with in an hour of me calling him. He worked hard and got the problem fixed for a reasonable price. We are very grateful to not be washing dishes by hand anymore. He was also very friendly, which I appreciated. read more

This is a family business and they treat you like family. Mr. Pyetrakov and his son did an excellent job servicing my air conditioner which had dog hair and loads of dust accumulated in it. They came on time, were in and out in 1 hour, did all the heavy lifting, and still had smiles on their faces. After trying to repair ourselves without success, he arrived on time the next day, ran a test quickly, quietly and professionally, and replaced part and did not hand us an absurdly expensively bill. Had a very positive experience. The owner, Vlad, is definitely one of the most honest technicians I have met. I recently moved to DC and started renting out my condo in Thornton. Being an inexperienced landlord I have been ripped off a few times now. Recently, the renter called and said the washer was leaking and partially flooded the floor. I called a few places that I found on yelp but they started to nickle-and-dime me straight from the get-go. When I called VP Appliance, a middle aged man with a Slavic accent answered the phone and explained to me that most likely it was a loose hose connection to the pump. He said that I can probably fix it myself but we agreed that he would come out and take a look at it in the evening. To my surprise, Vlad didn't just fix the hose issue but also cleaned-up the 'flood'. Vlad also recommended that I use a plastic pan under the washer just to be safe. He was kind enough to go to Home Depot to get the plastic pan and install for me. This guy definitely goes an extra mile and provides a service with utmost integrity. Lastly, I thought his prices were very, very seasonable. I just hope that in years to come they will remain so low. read more
