This is more like a barber shop than a hair salon, both Nora and her other girl don't know how to perform a good haircut on women at all. Didn't expect that the owner will show her true color where I could hear her gossiping while talking to another customer. I was there waiting to get some simple men's haircut as I am currently in the military service, only to find out that you don't accept walk-in customer, but instead of telling it to me directly, I had to hear it from you discussing it with other person you're cutting hair with. What's the point of you placing up the notebook near the entrance if that's what im gonna hear from you?. Such a shame. No wonder I don't give tip to you as I don't feel like youre a good person and showing favoritism, which is unfair treatment to everyone. Took my 7 yr old granddaughter here for her very first ever in the chair professional cut (her mom had always cut her hair). Told Nora? she was a little anxious, nervous and shy and Nora did a great job making her feel comfortable. She asked her questions, complimented her and sang along to the radio music while she cut & styled, which all made my granddaughter more relaxed. My first time was fantastic - must have been a fluke! This time (my 2nd) the lady cutting my hair took my face mask, stretched the left side out SO MUCH it would not fit back on my face correctly - RUINED it (and I paid 30 bucks for it) !!! Don't make my same mistake and wear nice things to this place - I should have used one of those "generic" medical masks... I will never go to this place again!!! read more

I had an awful experience today Oct. 2, 2018 I went to get a cut and style and a possible permanent if my thin graying hair has nobody. I ended up with a boys haircut, with me saying NO it's not right! Stop! Too short my hair is ruined! She never asked me is this to short? Is this what you want? She just kept cutting and saying it will be good no worry and used her electric clipper like a runaway train. I'm 71 years old I've always had my hair done mostly the same style. Don't go here! Customer service is really bad! They have sign in for walk ins that nobody follows! Nora is rude!

I inquired for a hair and make-up for on-location service. She said that she is charging me $400 dollars for one person with short hair. They are located in Vallejo and location is less than 15 miles (outer Napa). On top of that, the location of the Nora's Beauty Salon is not in an upscale neighborhood. I checked Napa, a better location and more upscale feel, and I got a better pricing. I also checked other Filipinos who is familiar with the beauty salon and they said don't go there. read more

First off, when we initially came to get my son's hair cut a few weeks back, the owner told us to wait a few minutes for Vi (who is wonderful, btw) even though she herself didn't have anyone there and Vi was only halfway done with her current client. That ALREADY rubbed me the wrong way. It seemed that she picks and chooses who she wants to serve. Vi has done an amazing job with my son on a couple occasions, which is why we tip her well. She definitely deserves it AND MORE! We recommend VI for sure! Fast forward to today. My son and my mom both needed cuts. Vi took care of my son immediately and efficiently. Again, we love her! My mom insisted that she wait for Nora. Well... there was a person in the chair, another waiting ahead of my mom and one waiting for her color to set in. Nora finished with the current client, then did the guy ahead of my mom, and then had to wash the color client's hair. My mom asked how long it would be and she was told 10 mins. 20 mins roll by as the owner is yapping away with clients, not even doing anyone's hair anymore. Then a guy walks in, apparently in a hurry cuz he has a flight to catch in the afternoon. The owner, at first, says she needs to tend to my mom first cuz she's been waiting so long. The guy answers back and says he needs to get going. Then, Nora asks my mom if she could take care of him before my mom??? Excuse me??? We have been waiting longer than you quoted us and, all of a sudden, you need to take care of him before us? Maybe she thought I didn't understand the conversation they just had, but I can understand Tagalog. She claimed that he "had an appointment," which sounded like a lie. I told her that we have things we need to do too and that was completely unprofessional and not fair to my mom. If that was in fact true that he had an appt, she should have told us that she had a client coming at 11, instead of having us wait. We could have taken care of our other errands and come back, if we knew. But, like I said, the appointment part was most likely a lie. Please don't ever have my mom wait like that again! I asked my mom, who is a regular there (but not anymore), if that's happened before and my mom said "yes, but that's ok." Now I understand why my mom gets dropped off there and picked up hours later. It's NOT OK to waste people's time like that. And from what I saw, her work was .. meh .. This place gets 1 star because the owner has Vi in her salon! read more
