I walked in curiously because I'd heard of the brand before but had no idea there was a brick and mortar in LA! The owner was sooooo nice; immediately walked me through all of the different cheeses they make, and even offered me a sample of their mozzarella made from macadamias. I liked it so much that I ended up ordering the caprese sandwich, and it was incredible. Really good flavors and the bread was perfectly soft on the inside. It was nice and refreshing for a hot day. They also have parking!!! Are you kidding?? In LA??? That's such a luxury. The place looks like a Mediterranean deli, but has really comfy booths. This is a great place to stop for quick light lunch on a hot summer day that won't wear you down in oils and heaviness. The food was delicious and filling. The bread was perfectly toasted and warmed. If you haven't heard about Vromage you have now! This hidden gem of pure vegan goodness was one of the first places to do a fully vegan charcuterie! I'm so happy it's still around and seriously the best handcrafted vegan cheese in the area! The ambiance is still being worked on but it is lovely with the mosaics and the wood accents and plenty of seating. Since I was at an event nearby I had to stop in to get a caprese salad (they offer a sandwich too). Service was wonderful although it was starting to get busy, but it was prepared quickly and plated beautifully to go! Vegan buffalo mozzarella cheese topping slices of heirloom tomatoes on a bed of fresh arugula with a pesto drizzle on top was pure culinary perfection! It was so fresh and satisfying! Yes the price is high yet worth it everything is whole food made in house sourced from the farmers markets! Which makes this the prefect treat for when I'm able to stop by! I ordered a Caprese which was absolutely divine and I'm thinking about it as I type this review. My husband ordered a pizza and that will definitely be what I order next time. It was so good! This place is a one-man shop. All the cooking, serving, and counter work is done by a single person. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by the owner, a sweet man with so much passion about his food and business. He sat us down and guided us through the options. We weren't provided a physical menu, but the menu is simple enough that it was adequate for him to just tell us the options. We ordered the pizza and the sandwich. Pizza - hot and delicious! It was fresh out of the oven and the ratio of crispiness to softness was perfection. The best part was the cheese on top. Sandwich - solid choice. This place has been on our list to try for a while now. But when we finally went there, it was a bit of a bust. Was the owner friendly? Yep. Was the restaurant/cheese shop nice? No, half done wall and interior. Not the reason we wanted to try this place so it didn't matter to us. Was the vegan cheese sandwiches delicious? It's good, but not $19.95 worthy good. The French sourdough bread is from Rupublique(owner told us) The sandwiches are small like we both were still hungry after having our own... if paying $20 for an itty bitty sandwich roll makes you feel like upper class, you do you. I have had a fair amount of vegan cheeses myself. Tbh it's not the most delicious, memorable type I have tried. Disappointed for sure. Can't justify $20 for it either. Sorry to not give as glowing a review as everyone else, but Vromage is kind of a bummer. The cheeses are decent, but the store is a mess. Nothing is labeled. There's no menu. You have to ask a ton of questions just to order anything. Presentation is terrible - cheeses wrapped in Saran Wrap. There are random supplies and things everywhere. This feels less like a place to eat and more like a pop up just to pick up cheeses. And that's fine. But I wish the owner would go to any other cheese shop in the world (vegan or otherwise) and look at their display case. Labels please! It has been years and this place has done literally nothing to make itself more presentable. It's just awkward to go there. Not to mention 2 sandwiches that consisted of just pesto, mozzarella and tomato was $41. I won't be returning. read more

Had to see what all the rave reviews were about, so I stopped by Vromage to visit Youssef and his vegan cheese. Youssef greeted me with a warm welcome, as he was entertaining a few customers in what looked like to be a light, bright, soon-to-open dine-in portion of his restaurant. He welcomed me, asked me to follow him next door to the grab-and-go portion of his restaurant. He asked what I liked, if I was vegan, what cheeses he had available. I showed him a picture of the Vegan Caprese and he went into the back kitchen area and fixed me a sandwich in a matter of minutes. The French baguette was absolutely incredible. Crunchy exterior and wonderfully soft and tasty bread - just like France! The vegan cheese was absolutely incredible. So delicate, melting in your mouth. Some of the best vegan cheese I have ever had, without question. The tomatoes and arugula, along with an outstanding olive oil pesto was so delicious. The sandwich was a pretty good size as well (about 10") and priced at $15.50, which is very reasonable considering the quality compared to other sandwich joints in the area. If you are in the Hollywood area and have a hunger for an outstanding sandwich, vegan or vegan-adjacent, I highly recommend you visit Youssef at Vromage. You won't be disappointed. read more

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to check this place out for some time. We live on the westside in Santa Monica and as vegans who are also gluten-free it's hard to always find good places we can comfortably eat. We miss cheese a lot and so we ventured over to Vromage after hearing a lot of people recommend the place and the products. There seems to be two separate entries. One side they are building a cafe and the other you can buy the products where they are prepped. It had such a beautiful classic Italian feel which I appreciated in its authenticity. The owner Youssef was attentive and so friendly. We actually came in for a sandwich which he sells and made on sight. We both got Caprese with their gluten-free bread and let me tell you, it was bordering one of the best gluten-free/ vegan sandwiches I've ever had in my life. The bread was warm, crisped and didn't taste like styrofoam like most gf breads and the homemade cheese was outstanding. Creamy, flavorful and tasted like real mozzarella which is one of my favorite cheeses from before I was vegan. This place is a little gem hidden in the heart of LA and I think everyone should know about this place whether vegan or not. I will also say the potions and prices were very fair considering. This is truly the best cheese ever AND it's all whole food, plant based ingredients. The owner was there and was incredibly kind and passionate about his cruelty free creations.
