I've been keeping my distance from this location for some time. In the past as a walk in I was always given a person who did not know how to cut hair. Today I walked in at 10 o clock sharp. One of the barbers was sitting. While two were cutting hair. I immediately sat down as a walk in and they asked if I had an appointment. I told them no. The guy who I talked to seemed very adamant that there were only 3 barbers working today. He said he could sign me up for an appointment at noon. So I'm under the impression they are not taking walk ins and appointments. So I left because I'm not going to sit around d for 2 hours for an appointment. This and previous bad experiences at this location has sealed the nail in the coffin for me. I will it be returning and will spend my money elsewhere. The only thing I took from this is that they are not taking walk ins, they are only doing appointments, one barber was doing literally nothing (but they just opened), and they are not willing to assist anybody sooner because they are under staffed. As I stated I will take my business to somewhere more qualified and accommodating. read more

Honestly, I don't typically write reviews. This is no shot at the barber that helped me today. I just can't believe it cost me $68 not including tip to get a haircut and a beard lineup. I left extremely dissatisfied with my haircut. Missed spots. Cut on my neck and ear from the lineup. I could've gone somewhere else and got the same haircut . Extremely disappointing. (The longer I look at my hair the worse it is). I literally can't stop thinking about how frustrating it is to want to look good and get an uneven beard trim a horrible haircut and pay 70 dollars. I've been going to this location for a couple of years now and I've never received a bad haircut. I got a haircut and a deluxe beard trim today from my man Rudy, who always does a great job and has me looking good. I've gotten cuts from Santana and Destinee as well, they are both great. On occasion I've gotten cuts from some of the other barbers as well, and nobody cuts hair poorly at this location. If you need a good cut before a big event, I would definitely go to this location as they do a great job and have great hospitality. read more

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL Today's experience deserves even less than one star. I walked in for the first time to this place, there were 6 barbers, after few minutes of waiting a barber took me to his chair, he only speaks Spanish. I explained to him exactly what I want. I showed him a picture, of what I want exactly. Which wasn't complicated at all especially that I came in with long beard and long hair. I ended up with such a TERRIBLE haircut to the point I don't want to get put off my house until my hair grows back again. AND HE CHARGED ME $40!!!! He wasn't thrilled to be pinned down in a chair while getting his hair trimmed but these guys put him at ease and did a fantastic job! His haircut looks great! Lots of fluff. Still had a crappy haircut by a very young twenty something. Not impressed.

Came here for a cut and beard trim. Usually don't ask for much, but I didn't leave horrifically impressed with either. The haircut was okay. A few hairs were missed on the back of my head, but nothing ridiculous. If I had been given a mirror to see the back of my head at the end of the cut, I might have noticed and had it fixed, but I didn't discover this until I got home later. However, I wasn't too impressed with my beard trim. It was uneven all around. Poorly lined up around the neck with some interesting angles at weird points. The attached picture was taken when I got home from the cut, without making any changes. I've learned that some of these chain barbershops aren't worth the prices they charge. This was my first time going to V's and they don't change that trend unfortunately. I know a few independent barbershops in the Valley that can do a cut and trim for under $30, and since they do a better job, I won't be returning to spend $38 here. UPDATE: The owner reached out offering to fix up the angles in the beard and provide a gift card. I'd already taken care of some of the angles myself, but can update my review later if the next experience goes well! For now, bonus points good customer service though. I stopped by to get a quick trim today and will not return. When I walked in to the shop it was 2:15 I asked the young man if they take walk-ins and he said yes but wasn't sure they could get me in. I saw there were 5 barbers working and it appeared most of the cuts were in the last stages of their visit so I thought it was worth the chance. Well as I thought, 3 of the cuts finished and I thought they would work me in that was not the case. One barber went to the back for 10 minutes the other hung out behind the counter and the third just messed around his station for a while. Ten minuets later they send the poor kid over to tell me they won't be able to work me in, poor poor service. My barber just retired and I was looking for a new one, I will keep looking. read more

There is a reason why women should not go to barber shops.. I had Rudy, he was nice and so was the front desk attendant. I showed Rudy pictures of what I wanted. He didn't even know what a pixie cut was and had to look it up. That should have been my first hint. But the shop and Rudy had great reviews so I trusted the process. Never again. I am not lesbian but now I straight up look like a dang dyke. If course, there's no putting hair back once it's cut so now I'm going to have to go back to covering my head until my hair grows back. I think i actually got the best beard trim and shave of my life here. I was in town for a wedding, had not had time to really fix it up the way i wanted it to look, and needed to look fresh for the event. Walked in and was able to get fixed up almost immediately by a new barber, Jacob. He was so precise and so dedicated to the look he was giving me. He was friendly, and we chatted and laughed while he gave me 5 star treatment. I definitely recommend this place. If I had the money I would fly in to town once a month just for him to freshen me up again!. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! I have come to this location several times over the years. I had two bad experiences pervious to today but this third one really got me angry as I made it VERY clear WITH A PICTURE to keep the length of my hair and simply use shearing scissors. First thing Eduardo does it use clippers to take all of my hair off. I'm incredibly disappointed and angry. Joey did something similar in the past. Noah has been the only one to ever get the job done correctly. My advice, do not go here. I can't speak to all V's locations. Be a professional and listen to what your client wants. Phenomenal experience! I had a hard time finding a barber since moving to PHX from LA. My buddies introduced me to V's and I couldn't be happier! I was lucky enough to have Alex cut my hair. He did a great job getting it just right and went above and beyond my expectations. I was warmly greeted by the barbers and after waiting about 10 min a chair opened up. After I told Alex what I wanted he proceeded to perform his craft. From the straight razor edge up in the back to the neck and shoulder massage at the end this was by far the best barber experience I've ever had. My buddies who were also getting their hair cut also had great experiences proving that you can't go wrong with any barber at V's. Side note: They have a great selection of hair and grooming products available for sale at pretty reasonable prices. read more

Ive been here numerous times and it is hit or miss depending on the barber but this particular time My son was getting a haircut and I was extremely put off by his barber. He was very rude to my 6 year old atypical son.. almost yelling at him and intimidating him because he wasn't sitting as still as He wanted him too. My son Was doing the typical young boy movements such as shrugging his shoulders when the electric razor was by his ears. (He has sensory processing) but he wasnt pulling away or anything. He was sitting what i thought very well.The barber was pulling really hard back on his head and my son even yelped an ouch at one point. He kept stopping to literally lecture my son on sitting still and told him he wasnt getting any candy for moving. It was really aggressive and mean. I didn't see any abnormal movement from a kids so small so I was getting very frustrated. He then turned to me and said you really need to teach your kid to sit still. Being generous on the stars only because it turned out to be a good cut - painful as it was in the beginning. The clipper's blade felt like it was right against my skin. I have never felt that level of discomfort at a barber chair. Just like k have never experienced a barber actually stop cutting to pay more attention to the TV show playing next to his station. Seriously? Speaking of station: take some pride in your work area. Used towels everywhere. Who knows when that sink was last wiped. Clippers and blades everywhere. Staring at the barber chair next to me I could see the hair trimmings build up below the armrest and below seat. Wish I had paid more attention before sitting down. First and last time here. Next time I'll wait the half hour at my usual barbershop - which is actually less expensive and much more clean. I also get a warm shave. (That would be at Uptown Barbershop). read more

After over a year of booking my haircuts with Chris, he continues to put walk-ins in the chair just before my confirmed appointments and make me sit and wait for 30-40 minutes after my appointment time while he gives people my chair time. There shouldn't even be reservations on their site and their app if they don't honor them. I will never, ever return here. Really poor customer service. read more

Just had the equivalent of a 'bowl cut' on my mustache. Now the sky isn't falling but you go to a professional for well, a professional job. It's only hair and will grow back but what a sour taste to a mini mans 'spa' morning. I should have known when the trimmers came out on only requesting a 'clean up'. Be clear and ask for someone that knows staches and beards, not the first available hack. (There was no charge for the botch btw) On an up side, I did go there 3 weeks ago and a younger gentleman with a long red zztop beard had surgical precision on my stache and I was so pleased. Show up about 5mins early Monday AM, no Chris, the nice young man at the desk calls/texts Chris says sorry no reply. Now 820a I ask if there is any word, no. He's sorry but says nothing he can do. I suggested having the manager speak to him about appts customer service and showing up on time. Alas I'm told Chris IS the manager ‍. Now it's 830a.and I'm trying to decide whether to wait for someone else of just walk.
