We were starving and really craving some pho and decided to stop by this restaurant. The pho was alright, but it probably tasted better because I was so hungry. The broth wasn't as flavourful as some of the more authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the area, and there wasn't a lot of meat or other toppings. The restaurant itself is small so there isnt a lot of seating, especially during busy hours and the parking lot is even smaller. It seems to be more of a grab and go kind of restaurant. Strangest pho experience I've had. I ordered the veggie pho and the bowl was mostly filled with mushrooms. There weren't any other veggies. The pho comes pre dressed with basil and bean sprouts. My kids had chicken pho and they ate some of it. Their pho also included the basil and bean sprouts already in their soup. I also ordered the fresh spring rolls and the sauce was very sweet, maybe it was hoisin sauce or American BBQ sauce. My husband ordered a sandwich. The sandwich was on a hoagie roll. It was creamy, sure, but not sweet and tasted like nothing but creamed avocado. Plus, it was just barely cold (which was abhorrent). I've had an avocado shake before that was delicious. This was not it. Now, about the noodle bowl. Noodles were overcooked (so, more like slimy), and the chicken seemed undercooked (I checked, it wasn't, just tasted that way). If I could rate this place less stars I would. By far the worst restaurant in Nashville. The atrocities they serve should not be qualified as food. The "pho" was overpriced, devoid of flavor, and simply awful; colors of that spectrum belong in a toilet bowl. Not only was this "soup" bland and lacking in everything, to get any sort of meat will require you to take a mortgage and drain your 401k. It costs extra to get one measly slice of meat? Visited Vui's Kitchen in Berry Hill today for lunch and the food was incredible. I am a huge fan of Vietnamese cuisine and love how they incorporate so many different spices, sauces, and flavors into a dish. For an appetizer we selected Pork Belly Bao Buns and my tastebuds went wild...probably one of the absolute BEST buns I have ever tasted!!! The Beef Pho had subtle flavors and the broth was perfect, something you could do a cup of on a cold winter's day (they also sell broth alone). The meats, noodles, vegetables, and spices were balanced making for an incredible bowl of Pho. If there is one item you need to try here after the Pork Belly Bao Buns is the Pork Belly Banh Mi sandwich. I wasn't very hungry and when the sandwich was delivered I thought I would take half home for later. One bite, and I knew there was no way this sandwich was going to make it to my house. The pork belly was so tender it almost melted but the combination of all the vegetables and seasonings made this probably the best Banh Min sandwich I have ever had. All aspect of the sandwich, including a crispy on the outside and soft on the inside French baguette really completed the sandwich. The service was fast and efficient and we were able to enjoy lunch on their outside patio. Vui's Kitchen is one of the restaurants that you always hear about or even drive by all the time, yet never actually make it into. I finally took the plunge when some colleagues and I met up for a Friday lunch. We went to the Bransford Avenue location. They've taken over the space that used to be an odds and ends gift shop with a spaceship in the front yard. That being said, it's easy to find. They do have a parking lot, but it is small. You end up parking in the lot attached to a building next door. You intentionally block people in by doing this. I ended up pulling to the side in a parallel type space. It was an odd parking experience. You order your food at the counter from a menu board to the left. You have the option to order a to go meal or take a seat to have the food brought to you. It's a good sign when you can't decide what to get because it all sounds good. I ended up being unable to resist the pork belly combo of the Pork Belly Bao Bun and Banh Mi Sandwich with pork belly. I'm a massive fan of pork belly in general, so this opportunity did it for me. The bao and sandwich were both absolutely delicious. The tables were so close together in such a small space that navigating between them was a bit problematic. But clearly, I made it out alive. read more

I stopped by early on a Thursday and was surprised at how busy it looked. All the tables outside were taken and so were most of the ones inside. Parking was also a slight nightmare since the lot is so cramped. I wasn't too hungry so I just ordered the summer rolls. I know I didn't order much food but the service was SUPER fast. I had just found a spot to sit down at at one of their outdoor picnic tables when the server brought me my food. I put in my online order for my lunch and in my head I marked it for 11.15 and on the website I picked the pick up time of 11.30am. I arrive at 11.05. So delicious!! Even better that it is vegetarian friendly! The broth is so tasteful!! With a hint of Sriracha sauce, and whatever the brown sauce they serve is called... it is *chefs kiss*. I have an addiction. It is Vui's pho. I seriously can't get enough. The broth is made by angels. The fresh ingredients taste as if they had been hand-picked by cherubs.
