I was craving a late night treat and noticed Boulder Baked was open! I stopped by and ordered a 4…read morepack of cookies. There are a ton of different flavor options to choose. I tried Mexican chocolate, red velvet, peanut butter chocolate chip, and Funfetti. The cookies are baked fresh, and it was about a 10 minute wait. The wait was so worth it! The cookies come out piping hot. They were crispy on the outside and deliciously chewy in the middle, and each cookie had a distinct flavor. My favorite was the Mexican chocolate chip, which was cinnamon sugar, dark chocolate chunks, and a little bit of spicy cayenne. My second favorite was the peanut butter cookie with peanut butter and chocolate chips- just a really good peanut butter cookie! The Red Velvet and the Funfetti were a tie for me. In addition to made to order cookies, Boulder Bakes has cupcakes, cake slices, ice cream, coffee, cookies cakes, and tomato soup/grilled cheese. I'm happy to say Boulder Baked is open until 9:30 Sunday-Wednesday and until 10 Thursday-Saturday making it a great spot to grab a treat late at night. They specialize in offering gluten-free and vegan cakes and cookies. The interior is a little small and there's not much seating inside so ambience is why I would give a 4/5 star rating- otherwise the treats are delicious. This is a spot that is better to grab and go or get takeout. Online ordering is available!

I really like the oatmeal chocolate chip but the double chocolate and chocolate explosion are catching my eye. I can't wait to try them. When you order the cookies, you can order them normal baked half baked or over baked. This way you can get the cookies as crispy as you'd like it. I did regular baked and it was perfectly gooey right away. Once it cools down, it means really soft so it's perfect for later as well. They also offer coffee, hot chocolate and teas. The hot chocolate was super good and I can't wait to go back for a latte. They also offer cake slices, larger cookies, and plenty of other desserts. This is a great stop for any type of sweet treat or drink. I also saw that they offered grilled cheese and tomato soup. I will definitely be back to try this as well.

Lo and behold, my husband made me go get some donuts during the car show, and I'm in disbelief we found donuts I actually enjoyed and would return to get more! And I had more than one! That one was a chain, this is clearly a local family operation made fresh with from scratch recipes. The frosting dips were amazing as, though a sweet frosting were clearly made with genuine fruit. They hade a display case on the counter with one each of many flavors. As we chose the flavors we wanted, they seeped back and picked up freshly made donuts and dipped each into a container of the flavor requested . They then placed them into a box, no preset number required and why I never had a traditional Asian flavor at the place on my trip. We took them out into the food hall combined seating to sample them. We could not wait. The sad part about doing that is that set into the small box, they had stuck together in a sticky pile. Persisting them dry a little before packaging does have some benefits after all. Im not sure how to effectively do this though as the place is tiny and the line constant. Maybe a small reserve of not popular flavors would be worthwhile for busy Saturday mornings . It a close call between perfection and almost. Same with my stars, 4.5 would be perfect. We drove out that way for specialty local business for hiking gear repair and never knew how close this place is. We use another business nearby so we can stop here again later this winter. The flavors we got were ube( sweet potato) and surprising bland as I love sweet potato " anything"," strawberry, passion fruit and vanilla. My husband loves vanilla anything and felt it was a tie for me of strawberry and passion fruit. Park in the mall parking where you see the sign for The District and go in that door next to Otis Arts and Crafts and walk across the communal seating to the door for Nok's. The friendliness can't be beat!
