In the last year I've spent over $2500 with Vuori on line, and at their original location in Encinitas California. Their clothing is really nice, but not cheap. They now have opened up a new brick and mortar store closer to my home here in Carmel Valley. I Purchased a pair of their Ripstop climber pants and had them sent to my office. Rather then dealing with sending them back via UPS, I figured I'd visit their new store in Carmel Valley, and return them there. It was a very nice looking store, with two people working there, and no other customers in the store. I figured I'd get a T-shirt with the exchange of my climber pants. So, when I went up to the counter to do so, there was a sales person there by the name of Tyler. I will say he wasn't very friendly, and seemed almost bothered at the fact that I was returning these climber pants... He mentioned to me that there is a balance owed to me, but I could have that as a store credit. I could only get it back on my credit card if I had my receipt. I mentioned to him that I purchased these online, and I have no receipt. And he said there's nothing he could do. Then I realized, I have the email confirmation of the sales transaction on my phone, and showed him that. For some reason, I think this seemed to of irritated him even more... He then gave me the credit back on my card, and asked if I wanted a bag? I replied no thank you, and he then folded the t-shirt in half and put it in front of me on the counter. I then smiled, (to try and lighten up the moment), and kiddingly said that's the worst folding job I've ever seen... And here's when things went incredibly wrong!!! He then looked me dead in the eye, and said " My girlfriend just broke up with me, and I don't need to be critiqued on my folding job"... then he turned around and started walking towards the stock room... In doing so, I actually laughed, because I thought it was either some kind of joke, or couldn't really believe what I just heard. After he slammed the stock door he literally screamed at the top of his lungs F**********************CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I then folded the shirt myself and began to quickly walk towards the front of the store. In doing so, I heard large items in that back room being thrown around, and him screaming in a complete tirade! I've never heard or seen anything like this, and couldn't get out of there fast enough. When I got to the front door the other sales girl was there looking at me horrified. She asked what was going on, and I just wanted to get out of there... After driving away and just going over in my mind of what just happened, I really felt very uncomfortable about this whole situation. I gathered my thoughts, and I called the store back. The sales girl answered the phone, and I asked her what was that gentleman's name? She refused to give me his name. So, we spoke about the situation in detail and she still would not give me his name. I mentioned to her that I'm not the kind of person that wants to put an incident like this on yelp, but I do expect some type of explanation or apology. She Spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me explaining that we've all had bad days, and Tyler is certainly experiencing one right now. She also several times mentioned if there's anything she could do, like give me some type of a discount to make this situation right? I explained to her that this is not about me getting a discount, but this type of behavior is beyond unacceptable. She listened and agreed...She pleaded with me several times, and asked nicely not to write a negative yelp review. I understood, and figured if I spoke with a manager, I could at least be heard and get some type of closure... So, I gave her my name and phone number and asked if the store manager or anyone higher up in management could reach out to me the next day just to talk about this. Now, this is the part that really bothers me. This happened on Thursday, the 27th of February. We had a leap year so it's now Sunday, the first of March and I still haven't heard anything from anyone... Really??!! Boy, if this was my business, I would of reached out to that customer the evening of when this incident happened, or first thing the next day/morning! That's not the type of service or behavior I need to deal with when purchasing a $50 T-shirt. Hey, We've all had bad days, but taking out your own personal issues on a customer who was actually having a pretty good day up until this happened, is not going to make me ever want to go back to the store again. I will be more than happy to take my business elsewhere when I'm buying a $50 T-shirt to a place like Lululemon. They're nice, personable, and I'm sure if they're having a bad day they don't take it out on their customers... *** Customers beware: This sales person Tyler, is a loose cannon. I can see why his girlfriend chose not to be involved with him. He needs some anger management counseling, and shouldn't be working with the public until he does so... read more

Vuori - Receipt of transaction that day. - Men's Clothing Near Me - San Diego, California

I was already a big Vuori fan when I walked into the store a few Fridays ago, but I needed to write another review after the excellent service I received from Garret, Chase, and Frank! I had 2 pairs of Ripstop Climber Pants that appeared to have a defect, as each had the same rip near one of the back pockets after minimal use. Not only did Garret, Chase, and Frank apologize for the issue and offered me replacement pairs free of charge, but they also took the time to help me make sure the size I got was the right fit based on their own experiences of wearing the Ripstop pant. It's been a crazy year, and I can't imagine trying to navigate it as a retailer, but these three went above and beyond and brightened my day because of it. The most comfortable clothing I've have ever worn by far. Stylish athleisure clothing that looks and feels great. Let's just say the Sunday joggers aren't just for Sunday's, I could wear these literally every day. I have recently dealt with the customer service online and they were top notch in handling my problem. They were attentive and went over the top to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I think I've left maybe 1-2 reviews before but this one goes out to Tracey. I went to vuori today (love their products, I mean wow) but didn't expect the products to match the staff in terms of quality and fit. I was shopping for my girlfriend and Tracey noticed I was pensive and helped me from start to finish. Even matching the right colors of items for an outfit. At checkout she went above and beyond in terms of splitting receipts(as I had to get something for myself too haha) and boxing the gift I had gotten. Taking her time to really make the packing perfect and even add pink accented tissue paper. She was attentive and kind and made the whole experience so much better. Taking care of me while interacting with people in line behind me to make sure they were taken care of also. I bought a pair of pants here that I love. After wearing them multiple times a week for over 2 years, they finally ripped. I contacted customer service and they could not have been more polite and helpful. I mailed back the old pair, and they sent me A BRAND NEW PAIR OF PANTS.
