Our LG Dryer started shutting off prematurely and displaying the D80-D90 Error Code (indicating air flow blockage within the dryer itself or the connected ventilation piping). We were consistently cleaning the lint trap and vacuuming out that part of dryer, but in addition, I removed the flexible tubing behind the dryer (connecting to the in-wall ventilation piping) and cleaned that as well. The error codes continued to display, so I thought the issue might be a faulty dryer moisture sensor. Swapping out the old moisture sensor with a new one still didn't fix our dryer from shutting off with the D80 Error so I finally decided to consult an expert. I found WA Duct Cleaners here based on their good reviews and reached out. I explained the situation and scheduled a dryer vent cleaning service. I was very satisfied with the initial communication, transparency in pricing and detailed breakdown of potential charges and the prompt timing for scheduling the service appointment. The dryer cleaning service was $199 + $99 (if the dryer vent exits through the roof). The technician showed up on time for our appointment and got to work. They cleaned the dryer ventilation piping from the entry point behind the dryer and via a near exit point up in the attic. From the attic location, it was discovered that when I had the dryer vent rooftop plate replaced by a roofing company some months prior, the new one they installed had a mesh grate inside to prevent birds/rodents from entering, and in turn, this had caught more and more lint over time until it was blocking the whole pipe. WA Duct Cleaners cleaned the vents and cut out the meshing, which is what was causing the D80 Error on the dryer. We were very satisfied with the service. read more

He cleaned them all, which included unbending a bent flap that had gotten stuck (the cause of one dryer failing to dry laundry). Super nice, efficient, knowledgeable. I bought a deal from Angie's List and he followed up right away to make an appointment (first time EVER with ANY kind deal). While he was booked out very far, he was really good with a follow-up reminder a couple of days before hand. He was punctual and thorough, explaining his service and what he thought I needed. He even showed me how I can DIY some of it to preserve air quality and safety, without having to always pay for full service. David is the most awesome and genuinely honest contractor I have ever met and that says a lot because I hired several dozens of contractors and companies over the years. We made an appointment with David for duct cleaning. He checked all the vents, took photos, opened up the furnace, took more photos, explained how the cleaning process is being done, and even explained how the furnace works. After spending about 45 minutes with us he said his conclusion was the system was somewhat dusty and can be cleaned but it's not very serious and can be safely operated, so it's up to us. We were on the fence, so we asked what he recommends and he said if it were his house he wouldn't clean right now, unless we are very dust sensitive. What that meant was that if we decided not to clean he would pack his tools and leave without charging a dime. Wow, if only all contractors were as honest as David, the world would be a much better place for homeowners! In the end, we decided to follow his advice and skip the duct cleaning but we decided to hire David on the spot for another project that involved duct repair in the crawl space which he did exceptionally well, explained the process at every step and even showed us before and after photos. David's company is as good as it gets, and we will be calling him whenever we need anything done with ducts from now on. read more

David is the man. What first struck me about him was his excellent communication skills. He is calm, reassures you everything will be okay, calls on his way to the job, calls at the job upon quoting, etc. That alone sets him apart. What I am grateful for in my situation is his speed. I called on Saturday and he came out on Sunday 2-3 p.m. (and again on Monday to finish the job + do another). He went above and beyond by cutting a hole in the ceiling to pull out the dryer duct. He also had to go on the roof to clean the system. He installed my new dryer. He came the next day to seal the hole and clean my other tenant's dryer. That is not part of his service. What a guy. Fair price. I like how it is listed on his website. I have never done this sort of service before. I cannot say if it is above or below market value. I can say that my tenant say him put in the work the last two days. My tenant also says David is honest, hardworking, and diligent. We did the transaction over the phone via credit card using Square. It emailed me a receipt. He also took a picture and texted me the receipt. There is only one area David can improve on. Gu-Wi Window/Gutter Cleaning does this well. Take before and after pictures, upload to Google Drive and share a link with the customer. It keeps people honest. It also helps me determine whether I should tip or not especially if I am not there to watch him work. I highly recommend you use David. read more

David was communicative and very generous with his time on a Sunday. We just moved into a place and wanted the dryer vent cleaned to help get some of the strong laundry scents out of the house. He investigated thoroughly and found that we would need to go with a more expensive approach as there was no access to the outside vent. He talked us through the different options and pros and cons of each, ultimately recommending that we wait for now as the scent we were smelling was lint around the dryer, that he cleaned while he was investigating in any case. He noted that while it would be good to do at some point, we probably had better things to spend our money on after just having moved. David didn't charge us for the visit and made sure we understood everything he was doing. I purchased a coupon from Angieslist that included the following: - $65 for a complete air duct system cleaning - Cleaning includes 1 forced air unit (including all vents and main trunk lines) based on 1 system - Sanitizing the ventilation system and a cold air intake inspection - Includes cleaning all access panels, an unlimited number of vents, and a free furnace inspection - Furnace cleaning includes vacuuming (blower cleaning is additional)  - Cleaning of 1 dryer vent (up to 5 feet) The quality of the work itself was probably okay (hard to tell, since I couldn't verify how much cleaner the ducts were). The coupons includes cleaning for "unlimited vents". I have two levels in my house, and the technician tried to tell me that he would clean only one level, and that would be sufficient as the vents were connected. He eventually cleaned all vents, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I also bought an upgrade for deep cleaning. The technician told me that he'd show me before and after pictures of all vents, but he ended up showing me pictures only for 1 vent. His description of what I'd get as part of the upgrade was not clear, and it felt like the upgrade included things that should be included in the coupon. read more

After a month and half, my furnace started blowing cold air. I left a vm in the early morning (4am b/c it was too cold to sleep), and didn't hear from the company till close to 3 pm. Couldn't be happier -- as an earlier reviewer said, David is the man. He offered to come out the same day I contacted him, and we only waited a day because of my own schedule. When he got here, he went above and beyond. Turns out my dryer is situated a little strangely and the vent is very hard to access, but David did what he had to do to make it happen even though it required a ton of manual labor on a very hot day. Throughout the process, he was friendly and communicative, and explained what he was doing at every step. Now my dryer runs like new. Called on a Friday and he came Sunday. He did an excellent job, going beyond what he had to. After a remodel and installation of a new furnace we needed our heat ducts cleaned. He removed a very clogged duct from our crawl space, cleaned it out in the back yard and reinstalled it. He also found a couple of issues with our new furnace that we were able to have remedied by the contractor. We scheduled an appointment to get our ducts cleaned, and since we have a large house, it would have been a fairly large job (though his quote was about half of the other two contractors estimates). He thoroughly looked at our ducts, showed me the pictures and told me that they were very clean and didn't need cleaning at all. Agree with other reviews that David is very good at explaining their services, costs and customer service. Our house had never had any duct cleaning nor furnace cleaning (house built in late 1990's and we just bought it last year). The ducts were disgusting from years of build up plus previous owners' kids throwing things into the ducts. Bottom line - Decided on the ducts' deep cleaning and furnace cleaning (more thorough descriptions already written in previous reviews so no need to repeat). We purchased a 1950 house last Spring and after doing a bathroom remodel we knew we were overdue for a duct cleaning. Our itchy eyes and noses after the weather turned cold and we started using the furnace finally pushed us over the edge. David from Wa Duct Cleaners was very professional and clearly explained that while he could perform a negative pressure cleaning of the system, the fact that we had done some remodel work and evidence that the air vents most likely had not been removed to do a thorough cleaning in years meant that a deep cleaning was needed to really clear things out. This meant he had to remove each individual air vent and return (ours are sealed with caulk and had been painted over) and use a shop vac and a roto brush attached to a hand drill to scrub the ducts. He didn't pressure me to do the deep clean - in fact he even went so far as to explain how I could try to do a decent job of it myself if I had a good shop vac, a long chimney brush and time to go through each vent and intake and vacuum them by hand. We opted to let David do the dirty work. We're glad we did as he showed us several pretty disgusting pictures of the dust and animal hair buildup in the ducts as well as pulling a rotted baby bottle from the 80s out of one of the vents. He also sanitized the ducts and cleaned the dryer vent. Yes - it was quite a bit more expensive than just hooking the system up to the truck to vacuum it out, but he let us know that after doing the deep clean we would be able to go that less expensive route for our next several cleanings now that all the big debris and piles of dust, hair and skin flakes had been removed by hand. I would recommend WDC and David in particular, and if you're in our situation with recent remodel/drywall work and ducts that may not have been properly cleaned for decades it's worth it to shell out a bit more for a good deep cleaning. read more

They call us 3 times a week. Even thought we have told them that we aren't interested. I also reminded them that we are on the do not call list and have asked them to not call anymore. They hang up and call again.
