Unfortunately, once new tenants moved in and began using the space, we discovered that the bedroom outlets were no longer functioning. When I contacted the owner to ask if a wire might have been accidentally disconnected during the attic work, he refused to come by to inspect the situation. He argued that I should have reported the issue within two weeks, despite the fact that the unit was vacant and only recently occupied. Rather than offering to troubleshoot or verify their work, the owner was argumentative and dismissed the concern entirely. He also claimed I have no proof his team caused the damage and told me I would need to hire an electrician to prove it. I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and professional courtesy, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a contractor who stands behind their labor.

Insulation Co gave me the best price out of all. The owner, Jo, was very knowledgable and easy to talk to. He was always willing to jump on the phone to answer any questions, which I appreciated a lot. My house was built prior to 1989 so I received a nice PSE rebate for the work. On the day of, Jo's crew were quick and efficient and provided Before and After photos. They removed my old vapor barrier and insulation and replaced with new one, added new dryer vent duct and flapper, and added new roof vents for all my bathroom fans, and much more. I was able to ask them questions during and provided water and snacks to them for their hard work. The crew respected my home and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. After the work was completed, I thanked Jo for making this all possible and being easy to work with. We went over some of the After pictures together over the phone to help me learn about everything and ask additional questions. They even sent a crewmember to come back for a 2-week follow-up on the work to make sure everything still looks good. Jo responded almost immediately with a bid based on the dimensions of our attic (he consulted the King County Parcel Viewer site to determine them). The other companies scheduled inspections. These were great for my ego: apparently I am very fit for my age, have excellent taste, and I'm very nice, so they offered me 'special discounts' . However, when I compared the bids for equivalent services, Insulation Co was significantly less expensive. No 'special discount' required; just straightforward pricing. The crew arrived on time, were careful to protect our property, and did excellent work. They took photos of their work and reviewed them with me. We had an issue with a switch for our bathroom fan that I mistakenly suspected was related to the installation. Jo responded immediately when I informed him of my suspicion and had someone come out the next day to troubleshoot it. Great service. Great value. Honest.

They did an OUTSTANDING job finding and sealing the entry points, then clearing the old insulation and replacing with minty fresh new contemporary insulation. With the summer coming, we asked the Attic Crew to reinspect our attic fan and advise on possibly adding more. The crew arrived on time, with all their equipment, discussed our project needs with us, then promptly carried out the inspection. The Attic Crew report was A) our equipment was running fine, and needed no additional service. B) considering the tight attic space, the current fans were sufficient and no more would be needed. Final result? NO CHARGE FOR THE INSPECTION AND RECOMMENDATIONS! We would ABSOLUTELY GO TO THE ATTIC CREW next time we need their services!!!

They're efficient and completely thorough. Shout out to the on-site project manager, Ricky Ricardo (yes, his real name, like the character from I Love Lucy, but he's a great sport about it) - who came early and stayed late to make sure we knew what was going on and were fully satisfied with the complete job, with a walkthrough and pictures of everything from end to end. Ricky is a guy who cares about a job done right and cares that the customers are completely comfortable, happy, and satisfied. Ricky came in before the crew started, walked us through how the job would go, made sure that all of our personal belongings were moved far away or protected by plastic throughout the garage and all the way through to the crawlspace access near the kitchen. The taped-up plastic "hallway" they created to prevent fiberglass and biohazard waste from leaking out into the house was going to block off part of the house, so Ricky made sure that we would have access to everything we needed, and offered to cut holes or coordinate crossings through as necessary. For the 3.5 years we've lived in this house I've been scared to even put my head down in the crawlspace, and by the end of the job I was ready to stand in there and take my own pictures of the space. Thankfully I didn't even have to take my own pictures, because Ricky organized sending me hundreds of before and after pictures from everyone on the crew. I have so many pictures now I could draw a pretty good map of my crawlspace without ever crawling through it. The price (spoiler: great!) Where other companies tried to quote for a smaller scope of work to keep costs within our budget, Attic Crew combined a completely thorough top-to-bottom job with guaranteed PSE rebates (as appropriate to our case) to meet our budget and then some. This was actually the best quote we got in two ways. First, this job was scoped to everything we wanted and more, no cutting corners. Second, it was the cheapest quote overall by about $500 thanks to PSE rebates that Attic Crew guarantees. Attic Crew takes care of the PSE rebates on their end, no paperwork for us. They included line items on the quote to show us how much we were saving from the rebates, but the sales rep, Tom, guaranteed me that even if they somehow don't qualify for the rebate from PSE, they will never charge that back to us. On top of that, they were quick to schedule the work only a week after we paid the deposit. The scope of work (extremely thorough): Removal of all old insulation and vapor barrier. Biohazard cleanout and sanitation. Crack sealing (foam, mesh, and/or cement as appropriate). Air sealing around any penetrations (vents, ducts, wires) into the house. Upgrade from 4" R-17 to 10" R-30 fiberglass insulation. Upgrade to 10-mil thickness vapor barrier. Replace dryer duct from flexible to rigid aluminum. The job was very thorough to improve our home efficiency and lock in the PSE rebates. As a bonus, they included cleanout of an abandoned rat's nest in a cabinet in the corner of the garage that the previous owner left us as a "gift" and we'd never had the equipment or PPE to properly deal with, and any rodent droppings found in the garage as well. Literally the only (very minor) issue we had was that we'd scheduled the quote on a day that turned out to be a Monday holiday. The communications were a little unclear referring to "tomorrow" rather than a specific date and ultimately they confirmed the appointment for the next business day. No harm done.

I was shocked, with the PSE rebate, which NW Insulation takes care of, the estimate was thousands less than I thought it would be! I signed up, and a day or so later I got a call to schedule the install, again, surprisingly, they could do it right away and I scheduled for about a week out. The installers got to my house about 8am and were very polite and professional. They basically worked all day, got the job done, and were on their way. They left everything clean and it is amazing to me how the house looked when they were done. They blew in the insulation from the exterior and the method that they used left no trace, they removed a course of siding, drilled holes, filled the walls, plugged the holes, and replaced the siding. You can't even tell that they were there. I have only had a few hot days to determine if there has been an improvement and honestly it really does seem to stay cooler inside, looking forward to winter for the real test. All in all, this has been a great experience, I very highly recommend NW Insulation for your project.

Lately the upstairs rooms always felt dusty and the temperature kept changing a lot, cold at night and warm during the day. Someone suggested checking the attic and once it was opened it was pretty obvious the insulation was very old and the space needed a real cleaning. Team came out and took their time looking around first. They explained what they were seeing and why the old insulation was not really doing its job anymore. There was a lot of buildup, old insulation, dust, and just years of stuff sitting in the attic. Once they started removing everything it was kind of surprising how much came out. Whole attic was cleaned out properly before anything new went in. They also pointed out a few small openings where air was getting in and sealed those while they were up there. After that the new insulation was installed and the difference started to show pretty quickly. Upstairs already feels more comfortable and the house keeps the temperature much better. Air feels cleaner too, which was something that was noticed almost right away. One thing that stood out was how careful they were during the process. They covered areas they were walking through and cleaned everything before leaving so there was no mess left behind. Attic cleaning and insulation is probably one of those things people forget about until it becomes a problem. Looking back it probably should have been done earlier, but really glad it finally got taken care of. House feels better overall and it just gives peace of mind knowing the attic is clean and properly insulated now. Really good experience from start to finish.

We met 2 people from Patrick's crew, they were polite, hardworking, and super chill. The crew always showed up on time -- which is saying something because I-5 can be so unpredictable. Pat kept me in the loop the whole time with updates and photos of the damage. We're first-time homeowners and Pat took the time to explain things to us. Gave us tips etc. Straight-up, no BS or NO upsells! The work they did for us was top-tier. I am a "perfectionist" and I was happy with how everything turned out. If you see your home as an investment (because it is), Pat and his crew should be your go-to. The best part is they're honest. None of that, "Oh, we didn't include this in the original quote because we didn't see X, Y, Z coming." The guys on the crews been around for 15 YEARS and pretty much know what's probably going on beneath the surface before they even start. They handle all sorts of things like crawl space work, drainage, insulation, vapor barriers--the works. If you got a house problem, they got a solution. ** One thing to note: they are super hands-on and always busy, so if you call and don't get through, give it another shot. They came on 3/6 in the provided time window, and did a good job of cleaning from what I can tell. On their website, they mention they provide a before and after report of the duct cleaning, though the only report I've received so far is the indoor air quality one. It would be nice to see the before and after, but that's not my biggest concern with their service. Unfortunately after they completed the service and left, I noticed floor new vibrations on the floor that is right below the furnace (which weren't there before the service). At the time since this was still during the day, I figured it might be from some construction work outside and ignored it. The vibrations continued into the night at which point I was getting concerned. I call them on Monday 3/9 and the earliest they can send someone to check it out is Friday 3/16 -- not ideal, but appreciated nonetheless. It's the same tech who did notice the vibrations on the furnace with the blower compartment open and fan running. Unfortunately he doesn't have an idea on what could be causing the vibrations from a cleaning. I suspect the vibrations to be from the blower going out of balance (perhaps from something settling on the blower during the duct cleaning). He goes to call his boss and returns saying the boss isn't also sure of what could be causing the vibrations, that the blower could be cleaned but AirGanic doesn't do it and that the boss would reach out to me with details of a company that cleans furnace blower. It's been three full business days and I've yet to recieve a call from the boss. I removed, cleaned, and put back the furance blower myself in the mean time which did resolve the vibrations -- it looked like there was stuck on paper on the blower fins. No idea where that came from. I'm not particularly happy with how my situation was handled -- if I am told someone will reach out to me, I expect to be reached out in a reasonable time. If I'm hiring a professional for a service and something unexpected happens, I expect help from the professional -- that's why you hire a professional. I was left without help and had to guess and fix the problem myself. Everyone makes mistakes, that's not what I have a problem with, I'm only interested in how well the mistake is remedied. I imagine this was something that doesn't happen frequently. In all probability, you'll hire AirGanic for cleaning, everything will go great -- I certainly don't contest that the cleaning itself was poor or unsatisfactory -- but if something unexpected happens, you might not get the help you are expecting.

We tried most of the morning, both email and phone to contact them. We couldn't wait any longer and reached out to another company to fix our furnace. We did a call back but was told they do not service "non AirGanics" installed equipment. I explained we did have AirGanics install our our whole unit when we moved in, but was told they had no record of us installing, just a consultation. So I forwarded the invoice we had paid to have the unit installed. I received an email back simply stating, "Checking our records now for that invoice. I did find that. Thank you So now I don't even know if the warranty on our less than 5 year old furnace will be serviced in the future, or will we need to go to another company. Just passing along our experience.

I pitched a project via Yelp to install cooling and replace the furnace to all of the most highly rated companies in the area. All of them recommended a heat pump as opposed to traditional AC. Better Air NW's proposal was not only the least expensive by a fair margin, but also offered the highest quality machines and best warranties. Normally, I'd be pretty skeptical at that combination, but all of the positive reviews on Yelp convinced me to accept their offer. A few days later, as I write this I'm basking in the warmth of my new heater. The installation was smooth, painless, and well done. Despite some unexpected challenges in the home's design to figure out and overcome, they charged exactly their estimate; there were none of the kind of headaches or scams that one often expects dealing with contractors. All in all, great experience, these folks deserve their lofty reputation.
