I like the ramen soup here a lot! It's not too salty and I could drink most of it no problem (especially since I wanted to drink soup). The soy milk tonkatsu broth felt very light and not heavy. The taiyaki was also really good, in that it was warm and the strawberry and whipped cream was a really nice touch. The food came out pretty quickly which was nice, and the plating was very aesthetically pleasing too. The decoration they had was also very cute! The mini cranes on the wall were a really nice touch. Ramen restaurants have invaded Orlando in a quiet manner. We went to the Narcoosee Publix ramen house called Wa and had a good time. At the bottom of each bowl, you get a surprising prize, but you must finish the ramen noodle to see it. Your next visit, you get that food item for free. We sampled a few drinks. It was cold today, so I had the hot green tea. Others had Thai iced tea and sodas. We liked the purple sweet potato fries, the cucumber and avocado salad, and the cod for appetizers. We tried Spicy Ramen, one with pork and another with seafood. We tried the Matcha Ramen and Snowflake Ramen. Each has its own beauty. My friend and I enjoyed a lunch here on a Saturday, and had a relaxing time in the calm aesthetic interior adorned by numerous handmade paper butterflies. The place wasn't busy at all, and the food was ready in a reasonable amount of time (10-15 minutes). I love how there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu, and prices are good for the decently large portion sizes of the ramen. We started with the sweet potato tempura ($6) which had a rather salty batter, but I didn't mind it. The textures were phenomenal, perfectly crisp on the outside and hot and soft inside. It was probably my favorite dish we got. The fried tofu skin appetizer ($5) was also quite good especially with the savory sauce, but the tofu was rather tough. For the main dish, I got the vegetarian/vegan ramen ($17) which was light, not too salty, and not too filling. My friend got the shoyu ramen which had a much heftier portion size, and she enjoyed it too and was able to finish everything. Stopped here on a Friday night, the staff here are so friendly and nice!!! We got a few apps to start, we got the pan fried Gyoza, so good!! Highly recommend, the fried chicken, which my husband loved! And the octopus balls, really good too. For drink we got the pineapple sake, which is delicious and the lychee sparking alcohol drink, also very refreshing and delicious, not sweet! Recently read about this new restaurant and tried it for Friday night dinner. It's a small restaurant that was almost full. We got seated right away. Our server was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu. The black sesame ramen was super flavorful. Noodles cooked well. The hard cooked egg was a real treat as it was still gooey when opened. It was recommended to try the pineapple infused sake. It was extremely good. It was so lovely having ramen here! Their marketing is on point. For their One Year Anniversary (Congratulations!!), they were doing name your price for any ramen! I ordered the Shio Ramen which came with big pieces of pork which was so satisfying. My boyfriend ordered the gyu-don. Upon digging into my ramen, our waitress informed us about the ramen challenge - finish your bowl of ramen to reveal a secret prize written at the bottom of the bowl. The ramen was delicious and I was eager to finish it to see what my prize would be. It was free takoyaki! I will redeem it next time I visit. Then, my bf and I were whisked away to take a picture with Mr. Ramen - a cute plush ramen bowl! Wa Ramen has become my favorite ramen restaurant in all Orlando. They have a large menu with some specials that can change through the months. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any question. One of the most interesting things I saw is that when you finish a bowl of ramen, in the bottom you have a gift for your next visit that includes free appetizers or even a free ramen! I've visited this place twice. I tried the Niku Udon, gyozas, chicken karage,and Shoyu ramen. The Udon had delicious thick noodles with a tasty fish broth. The Shoyu Ramen was really good.l, too. Both of them are big enough to get you full. The gyosas were delicious and were crispy! The chicken karage was well seasoned and came with a lemon that enhance the flavor. I also tried fried baby octopus and mussels. Also they have seasonal drinks, during the holiday they had a good coffee/chocolate drink that unfortunately I can't remember the name but it was amazing!! Wa Ramen is an excellent addition to the Lake Nona area! I am a fan of Wa Sushi, so I was elated to see this new restaurant added. It's in a random Publix plaza but don't let that fool you. My family visited when they opened for dinner on a rainy Saturday evening. Service was excellent and the server was knowledgeable and friendly. Our food came out fast. Came here for dinner. The chicken karaage was very good. Crisp skin and juicy tender dark meat. They serve both the thinner noodles as well as the thicker springy al dente noodles. I got tonkotsu ramen for take-out. Initially 20$ for soup threw me off but I assumed because of the reviews it'd be better. It was ready fast and the service was excellent. OK RAMEN We recently had dinner at Wa Ramen that is located in a large strip mall on Narcoossee Road and Moss Park Road near Lake Nona. Plenty of parking. Wa Ramen is a small restaurant with around 10-12 tables and a counter along the back wall. Décor includes many small photos of happy customers posted on the wall. It is a popular local restaurant and when we arrived (5:45 p.m. weekend), all tables were taken except for one table and the counter seats. Service was friendly and attentive. Two waitpersons tag teamed taking orders, serving customers and clearing tables. We ordered the Takoyaki ($9), Soy Milk Tonkotsu Ramen ($18) and Vegetable Ramen ($17). We enjoyed the Takoyaki - freshly prepared golden crispy round fritters (5) filled with bits of octopus. The Soy Milk Tonkotsu Ramen was good. The savory creamy broth was flavorful without being salty. The bowl came with two thin slices of chashu, a soft-boiled egg, some bamboo shoots, thinly sliced black fungus and scallions. The noodles were just okay with not much chew, bounce or flavor to distinguish them. We were also disappointed that the egg was a plain soft boiled egg and not a soy marinated egg. The Vegetarian Ramen could have been better. The broth was thin with little flavor. The two pieces of fried tofu skin were burnt on the edges. When going out for ramen, we often order a vegetable ramen for a healthy serving of leafy greens like bok choy. Here the vegetables were limited to a few leaves of spinach, bamboo shoots, black fungus, shiitake mushrooms and corn kernels with a garnish of scallion. One fun part of the meal - on the bottom of each of our bowls was written our reward for finishing our ramen. We earned two coupons for free beverages on our next visit. read more

It's super good and it has a crunch to the outside, and a bit of salt. The WA-tomic Wings are good. I'm not a big fan, but my group really liked it. They came with cleansing wipes as well. They have a rotating special menu. This week was Snowfall Matcha Udon, Okonomi-yaki, Chili Shrimp Bao, and Mentaiko Cheese Fries. My group got the Kids Shio Ramen and the Spicy Ramen. The place is casual and nicely decorated with origami butterflies all around, with the staff kindly gifting my friend and I our own origami butterflies as souvenirs. The shoyu ramen I ordered with extra nori and pork chashu was amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The noodles they use for the ramen are perfect. I also liked the fried tofu appetizer the most out of the appetizers I tried, the miso sauce it came with packed a super tasty punch of miso flavor. I also liked how there were plenty of good options for vegetarians. They also have an array of cocktails, the plum pineapple jelly shot was my favorite and so fun! Wa ramen was very exceptional, they are owned by a decades long ramen chef from Japan who makes some of the best ramen in Orlando. The service was the best in Orlando, extremely friendly and they will even take a picture of you as well to hang up on the wall. They have special free rewards on your ramen bowl if you finish it but the karage takoyaki are so good and on point I would feel bad using the reward the ambience is very bright and great for a rainy day, overall 9/10 we had the tonkotsu that was very good but it wasn't the best ramen bowl I've ever had but easily top 3 read more

Gotten the thai milk tea, cucumber and avocado salad, sweet purple potato tempura, spicy ramen, and spicy seafood ramen. The dressing of the salad balances it very well. Tempura was delicious but did wish it came with a dip for it. Side note, we dipped the sweet purple potato into the keft over dressing from the salad, and it was better than we thought. The servers were all so kind and even helped us take photos with the cute interior designs and the ramen plushie. It's so cute inside with the origami decorated walls. They have a ramen challenge here if you finish everything in your bowl you will get the cutest huge ramen bowl plushie and a Polaroid picture on the wall. I love the concept here and it's like a small hole in the wall local favorite. They were pretty busy for lunch almost all of the tables were full with couples and families. The miso ramen was delicious and the noodles were all dente, so perfectly chewy. The broth was balanced and really helped me feel better after a week being under the weather. The chili paste they brought me to add to the soup was so yummy and definitely cleared my sinuses. We also tried the shrimp bao bun from the specials menu. It had copious amounts of thick sliced tempura fried colossal shrimp served with micro greens and lettuce to add a crunch. The bao buns were the perfect texture and solid to hold together such massive toppings. The egg salad on this bao recipe went well with it and we appreciated the added protein kick. I loved it here and the green tea was served in the cutest cast iron pot with an adorable decorated tea cup. Will be back to try and get on the wall one day! read more

It had all the right tastes I was looking for! We had the Shoyu Ramen too but the Soymilk ramen was better. I ordered a side of noodles for the kids too. The soy milk tonkatsu has a light flavor. and the spicy ramen isn't too spicy, but has a nice flavorful balance. Definitely different flavors from each other. This place is a breath of fresh air for the area. I actually really enjoyed my experience. Service was superb! I was immediately, greeted, seated and waited upon. The venue is small but intimate and cozy. I ordered their spritzer-like adult beverage. It was light and refreshing. Reminded me of a white claw but with more flavor. I also ordered their sausage, gyoza and spicy ramen. The presentation alone was beautiful. The food was pretty good. I can't comment on the authenticity but it was pretty good to me. Service was friendly and super quick. Server explained the menu and pointed out some favorites explaining what they were if we had questions. They did come back around to everyone who was in the dining room and ask if they enjoyed the meal. Pineapple sake was delicious as was the sparkling lychee drink pictured. It was a rainy day today and having ramen was perfect. It's a great addition to lake nona that's not fast food,a chain, or bar food. It is in a Publix shopping center but don't let that fool you the ramen was flavorful and service as stated above was very attentive. Today was their first Sunday open so it wasn't too busy but a good amount of people came in around 7 pm they close at 8 pm so at 7:50 they did state kitchen would be closing if we would like to put anything else in. Pork in the ramen was so tender, I had the shio ramen my boyfriend had the spicy ramen I did not try it myself but he said it was good.
