If I could give this place zero stars I would. The customer service is extremely bad and the workers are busy catching up on gossip rather than attending paying customers. The food was cold and they had no sides besides chicken. To add half an avacado to your meal costs $2.50 (you can get a full avocado at the grocery store for cheaper). Their slogan of "Eat smart, be healthy" is what first caught my eye driving down to Southern California while eating a very strict diet, but I was truly hooked once I saw how incredibly fast, convenient, and friendly their service was along with their INCREDIBLE food! I ordered the super healthy and very tasty Chicken Kale Salad with Avocado, and it was great! Plus after enjoying my meal, the restaurant manager took the time to come over and check in that everything was perfect and to tell me about all of the amazing improvements to their menu such as California grown rice, cage free chicken, and fresh Alaskan salmon! AVOID THIS LOCATION. Made a stop here driving from OC to San Jose. I purchased two plates and a large fountain drink. When we went to sit down, all of the tables were left dirty, even though it wasn't at all busy, so my wife and I decided we would rather have the kids eat in the car. When I got in my car I realized that the drink cup didn't fit in my car cup holder and I was planning on driving with it for the next 5 hours. I went back in and I asked if I could exchange cups and the owner said no, offering only a small water cup with no lid. After nicely asking him to reconsider, he said that if I wanted a new cup that I would have to pay for it (which seemed reasonable). I told him I was fine with paying for the cup but when I asked him for the price, he asked for the full price of the regular drink and refused to even let me buy a drink for 50 cents. The kid working was even so appalled that he offered to pay the $2.50 out of his own pocket but I refused, letting him know that it was the owners responsibility to take care of the customers, not his. In the end, I left without a new cup. As I sat eating in my car with my wife and 3 kids, another customer who saw what happened stopped by to tell me how stupid he thought the whole thing was also. If you care about giving business to owners who run a clean operation and actually care about their customers then PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION. read more

There food is pretty good but is never the same way twice, if there is more than 2 people in the store they take forever, you ask for avocado and pay the $1.50 and sometimes you get it sometimes you don't. They have been open long enough to figure things out, I am through with them. read more

Im not going to lie, WABA grill is definitely one of my favorite places to eat! The food is always fresh, cleanest place in castaic. Their cashiers are always so friendly and especially the little one with the short hair Nina. She always has a smile on her face and greets customers so excitingly, we went in on a really busy day and she was assuring us that they were short staff but was talking to all of the customers so we weren't getting restless. Really good food and quick service. Food always tastes fresh. I love eating here after workouts or when I am really hungry as the food is very filling. I would eat here every day if I could afford to eat out on a daily basis. It is right off the freeway and really convenient. You can also place phone orders and pick them up from the drive thru which makes eating on a time crunch during a break very convenient. read more

I ordered the chicken and beef combo and my BF ordered the salmon combo so we could share all of it and get an idea of the flavors.... really satisfying flavors on all the proteins, the rice was fresh and the salad was crisp.. the steamed veggies also were pretty perfect... service was fast... less than 10 minutes and the place had a full handful of other diners too... the only bit of feedback I'd give is that the fruit side was a little weak portion wise. This is a great place to stop when traveling through the grapevine because there is great service, great food, and an extremely clean facility. The food was delicious and did not take long at all to come out. This was definitely a plus because after driving for 3+ hours, I was ready to just sit, relax, and enjoy the food. My favorite is the WaBa bowl! Not only that, but they give you a good portion for a great price, not leaving you hungry for the rest of the trip home. I'm just gonna say this time was a bad experience normally the customer service is great but today was horrible. First I felt rushed ordering, and I had to keep repeating myself, the food was a little burnt, they asked if we wanted sauce we said yes and gave us no sauce why ask if your not going to do what is requested. I was obsessed with WaBa for a while... until I bit into a shard of bone in my chicken bowl. It got stuck in my gums for about ten minutes and bled a lot so that wasn't pleasant. I liked the fact they put their condiments on the counter so we get more if needed. This included teriyaki sauce. I got the salmon plate with extra onions and avocado.
