I come here all the time and always get greeted by Joanna she gets my order RIGHT which is awesome i come hungry lol so shes consistant with my food and service is always good. Found out there was a Waba grill close to my work. Love the service here! The employees were friendly and helping, I've been to other Waba grills were that's not the case. Tables were clean and not sticky. Even the hot sauce bottles were cleaned down with no leftover sauce. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Glad I won't have to drive far to the other Waba grill now. read more

First time ever eating at any Waba Grill. Came here after doing grocery shopping. Came in about 6 pm on a Sunday night and ordered a Teriyaki chicken bowl with white meat. Watched the grill guy open a drawer next to the grill and pull out a chicken breast (precooked) and slap it on the grill. Not sure if this drawer is heated holding or cold holding but just seeing that is a big turn off right away. Then he took it over to a cutting board that looked like it had not been cleaned or sanitized for days, just gross. Can you say cross contamination!!! I asked the girl when they had cleaned it last but she just gave me a stupid look. So I just asked her for a refund but she says the mgr was on a break so I just left. The bowl was quite small and the rice was like only 3/4 full, I was expecting something bigger for almost 9 dollars. I took 2 bites of the chicken just to try it and that was enough for me, it was chewy and flavorless. When you start with crap you end up with crap. I threw the chicken in the trash and just ate the rice. That is one expensive rice bowl.. For sure wont be back to Waba Grill. read more

Brought my kids here for lunch Monday. I spent most of my time throwing up in the restroom of how disgusted I was with the food. I ordered a chicken bowl with white meat. Some pieces were soft and cooked as they should be but most of them were so hard to chew and nasty, the chicken needed to be cooked longer. I spit it out and ate only my rice. I went in there and paid 25$ for my meal. This young female cook had mad a mistake on an order, and was at the same time handling my order as well. Rather then preparing a new order this girl picked out with her hand the meat that was supposed to be chicken on the other order and tried to put it in my order as if she didn't just cross contaminated my food. When I told her I would not take my order like that this girl raised her voice at me and said no one touched it. By far one of the worst experience I've had in any restaurant. I could have gotten sick with what she was doing and rather then simply fix the problem she continue to address me in such a disrespectful way. If you go to this waba grill pay attention to the cook handling your food . This was a very very slim girl black hair and dark eyebrows. The only reason I didn't get her name was because I didn't feel like reacting as poorly as she did. Great people in charge, always cheerful. Great food and never have any hassle. I come in probably one a day because I work close, and it's always been really good. Their salmon is some of the best I've had from a waba, and the amount of shrimp you get in the bowls is really good. I would definitely recommend this waba grill. read more

Stopped in for take out for me and the wife. We both forgot how the last visit,months ago, had us saying how skimpy the servings were and the chicken was lacking in "quality". Well you guessed it, round two of throw'n half our bowls in the trash. Not sure what the issue with this location, but I know Barranca/Workman gets all my business from now on. This place in newer but turning out just like the one in Glendora . They take chicken out of a container and toss it on the grill when you order .its already cooked when they toss it on the grill so they are just re heating it . That is why is so rubbery . Way under staffed too . The only reason they are getting any business is because there is no chicken bowl placed within miles ... I will be calling corporate office to see if they care at all . Went in tonight to grab some dinner, I ordered 2 bowls one being the salmon bowl. I was really disappointed with the salmon bowl it look so mediocre mostly rice and small piece of salmon no!! I hardly ever go to this place in Covina. I only order with white meat and I have a 30 min lunch and for some reason the employee (the cook in charge of putting the order ready. Never puts the white meat only dark. I pay extra money for nothing. Today, I decided to try the salad with white meat and for my surprise when I opened it was dark meat. I am very disappointed, nothing like the WaBa Grill in Glendora where the have excellent service and they care for their customers. And today only I was leaving and checked my order no dressing was included. Sorry but you have bad bad service, very careless workers. read more

Food is terrible, the managers all look dirty and have nasty attitudes. Bowls of rice are often stale and not even warm, chicken is fatty and slimy. Employees just joke around and forget to clean and cook properly, not to mention there's always flirting and inappropriate touching/jokes between employees, management and the DM, so uncomfortable. Plus, on a good day you'll see an employee or two under the influence. Knowing what I know, I'd suggest everyone to save their money and go to Golden bowl or Yoshinoya. read more
