JUST AWFUL!!! This used to be my go to place for really good Chicken Teriyaki. I went there last week to satisfy my Chicken Teriyaki fix and to sit down and enjoy the Soccer game on my cell phone. To start, it was super hot inside, apparently they don't belive in A/C, but worse than that the Chicken was stale and way overdone like it had been sitting ther for a while, same for the rice! I was a regular for years at this place, what's changed? it seems like they are on the cheep as far as food /service and restaurant quality. I wanted to share some feedback as a regular customer. Every time I order a chicken bowl, I'm only given one small packet of yellow peppers. When I ask for one or two extra, I often get the impression that the employee is irritated by the request. Honestly, as much as I enjoy the food, this is one of the reasons I avoid places like King Taco. It feels like restaurants are becoming overly strict or greedy when it comes to condiments. I'm not asking for a handful of peppers or a dozen sauce packets--I'm simply asking for one or two extra to enjoy the meal I've already paid for. Good customer service goes a long way, and something as small as making a customer feel uncomfortable for asking for an extra condiment can affect whether they choose to come back. I understand that this spot is a local institution with a ton of weekly car traffic, and I know that good teriyaki is supposed to be grilled and charred. The combination of sweet teriyaki sauce, grilled meat, and white rice is absolutely delicious when done right. On taste alone, this place is great, and the unique char flavor is something you rarely find anymore. However, I noticed an excessive amount of burnt pieces in my food. I had to set aside about thirty to forty percent of the beef because it was burnt. The chicken was good but also suffered from a lot of burnt pieces. I am not sure if the grill just is not cleaned properly between orders, but the amount of burnt meat was concerning. As a side note, the drive through has a unique setup where you pay through the passenger window. While I can see exactly why this place is a beloved local favorite, I do not think I will be back simply because of the alarming amount of burnt meat. read more

My husband did drive thru one night while we were in the area. We both ordered a large 2 item teriyaki bowl which included chicken and beef teriyaki on white rice. We added avocado for extra. The portion was a lot and could easily be made into two or three meals. We appreciated how much avocado they give too. Tastewise, I didn't like the teriyaki sauce. It had more of a barbeque smokey flavor to it and I like more of a traditional teriyaki sauce that is on the sweeter side. The meat was decently tender and I prefer the chicken over the beef since the beef was a little too salty to me. Service was quick and friendly. There is parking available. I'm not sure what the inside looked like but it's nice they have a drive thru. However, the drive thru is more convenient if you have a passenger with you since you pull up to the window with it being on your passenger side. read more

I can usually get two meals out of one bowl. The drive-thru here is usually busy around lunchtime. I like to place a pick-up order to avoid the wait during lunch time rush. A restaurant is just as good as the cleanliness in the dining area. I ordered the large chicken, delicious! They give this teriyaki sauce on the side. The sauce is gelatinous, not watery when you pour it out of the little cup. Maybe the sauce is cold? If you look up on the lighting fixture, there are dust on the fixture. I paid almost $15.00 for a large chicken & a small drink. First time here & it will probably be my last well at least for awhile.
