Conveniently located near several car dealerships and tire/car repair shops, so nice to walk to if you have an hour or more to wait! Today they had a great special. Two chicken and veggie bowls and two bottles of Pepsi for $22.99. So my fiancé and I thought we would try this great deal. The special is posted on the window where you walk in and on a flyer at the counter. We thought it was strange that the woman taking our order proceeded to ring up our order at full price. She was trying to make it a big problem because she had to redo the order. She also tried to tell others as they walked in, two people had to be present, however the flyer didn't state that. Several single customers were taking it to go. Another problem was that the ventilation was not working properly and it was very smoky as we sat at our table and ate our food. The entrance door was open so a bit of wind was blowing in to help the problem. The smoke in the air made our eyes water. Our food however, came out quickly. It was nice and hot and plenty of chicken and veggies. The rice was nice and fluffy. The sauces they provided were good. The bottles of Pepsi's were cold. I did go back to the counter to ask for cups of ice. The place is clean and there are several tables to sit at if you decide to eat there. read more

Food is fresh and mostly healthy although they do use dark meat, unless you upgrade to all white for an additional charge. They do have specials from time to time on the door or windows. This was my first time trying Waba Grill! Did you hear? They just released Boom Boom Tacos and I'm all for it. I got the trio with Chicken, Steak and Jumbo Shrimp and they were all delicious but the shrimp was my favorite! I also paired the tacos with a few rice bowls. It's a great combo and I'm happy to see this on their menu. I don't normally like Teriyaki sauce but the teriyaki sauce here is delicious. Their rice is perfectly cooked. The meats are perfectly seasoned. You can also ask for extra sauces. This one is located in a big shopping plaza with a free parking lot. Service is friendly. There is inside and outside seating. Inside is casual yet modern. I think price is reasonable for the amount of food you get. read more

This review is just for the good at WaBa. I ordered for the first time recently. I had the Mixed Taco Trio (steak, chicken, shrimp) and onmygosh! Each one was delicious. My favorite was the steak. So I ordered my go to which is a chicken bowl and when I went to go ask the lady for a second sauce she gave me the rudest look and said only 2 per customer . I said I get it you I see your sign but you only gave me 1 in my bag can I get the second one . I felt like I had to beg for the second sauce or as if I was asking for a free chicken bowl . So I said to myself Hey you know what maybe she's having a bad day and ignored it . I just ordered lunch from here and to my surprise, they were serving plant based Steak! Was going to order the salmon, however, plant based ALWAYS so I went ahead and ordered their version of the steak and I'm glad I did because it was Y-U-M-M-Y! Haven't been eating meat for awhile, so this was definitely a treat. It had the right texture, chewiness, tenderness (DELICIOUS!) I don't think I would have spent an extra $2.99 for their plate though, because on the menu it says "more" protein, salad, and fruit. I was expecting a little more salad and fruit than what was handed to me. I received a half of an orange and a half hand scoop of salad (for $2.99...come on!) and I feel like if I stuffed all this rice and protein in a bowl, it would fit. They should really fill the entire container up like they do in Chinese To-Go places. My plate ended up totaling $15-ish dollars which doesn't add up to the amount of food you get so yeah, next time - settle for a bowl. Haha! The food is fine. I ordered a chicken taco, tofu taco and a small chicken bowl. I asked for two spicy sauces and one waba. The cashier was super stingy with the sauce. Said two is enough and denied me one of the spicy ones. It's really annoying because one is paying nearly 15 dollars for the food and they don't even have the decency to provide enough sauces. Contemplated what to rate this place. My wife said a 3.8 and I said anywhere between a 3-4. I want to say the lady that works there is super and allowed me to see plates from online orders before purchasing. The food is just ok and something my wife and I could make as a pre or post workout. I had a $5 off $25 order coupon which made me go but other than that, I dont think the price of paying $33-35 would've been worth it. We did order dumplings and they were good. I have ordered from this WaBa Grill location multiple times, and I have consistently had unpleasant experiences with the lady at the cash register. She is the rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. Whenever I ask for extra WaBa sauce or hot sauce, she makes it seem like I am asking for her first child. The lady who manages that Waba Grill she keeps the sauces like she's the one Smigel guy from the Lord of the rings can't believe she gets annoyed when I asked for one more extra Sriracha sauce for a chicken plate with extra chicken. I ordered at this location by mistake a couple of weeks ago and upon realizing my mistake, called and asked to have the order voided. The owner or manager I spoke with was very rude and refused to void the order. I informed him that I would file a dispute with my credit card company and he further refused and said "good luck." I guess "the customer is always right" slogan doesn't apply to this Waba location. Guess what - I got my money back (cha-ching). I can't personally say this, but after telling my co-workers about my experience at this location, they said they got violently ill after eating at the LF Waba at Rockfield and Lake Forest Dr. and will never come back.
