    Teriyaki chicken plate with water.
    Bob S.

I came here to order a teriyaki chicken plate with potstickers, salad dressing, veggies, and potstickers today, and it was very fresh savory, juicy, and delicious, amazing service, nice atmosphere, and I had a wonderful time.

This was my first time trying Waba Grill! Did you hear? They just released Boom Boom Tacos and I'm all for it. I got the trio with Chicken, Steak and Jumbo Shrimp and they were all delicious but the shrimp was my favorite! I also paired the tacos with a few rice bowls. It's a great combo and I'm happy to see this on their menu. I don't normally like Teriyaki sauce but the teriyaki sauce here is delicious. Their rice is perfectly cooked. The meats are perfectly seasoned. You can also ask for extra sauces. This one is located in a big shopping plaza with a free parking lot. Service is friendly. There is inside and outside seating. Inside is casual yet modern. I think price is reasonable for the amount of food you get.

    plant based STEAK
    Katherine J L.

I just ordered lunch from here and to my surprise, they were serving plant based Steak! Was going to order the salmon, however, plant based ALWAYS so I went ahead and ordered their version of the steak and I'm glad I did because it was Y-U-M-M-Y! Haven't been eating meat for awhile, so this was definitely a treat. It had the right texture, chewiness, tenderness (DELICIOUS!) I don't think I would have spent an extra $2.99 for their plate though, because on the menu it says "more" protein, salad, and fruit. I was expecting a little more salad and fruit than what was handed to me. I received a half of an orange and a half hand scoop of salad (for $2.99...come on!) and I feel like if I stuffed all this rice and protein in a bowl, it would fit. They should really fill the entire container up like they do in Chinese To-Go places. My plate ended up totaling $15-ish dollars which doesn't add up to the amount of food you get so yeah, next time - settle for a bowl. Haha! Would definitely come back here again for the plant based steak, but ordering a bowl next time. Service was quick and the ambiance was quiet and reserved. Go try the plant based steak! :) #health #plantbased

The crispy tofu was honestly my favorite simple but really good, you can never really go wrong with fried tofu. The beef with scallions was pretty spicy, which I personally liked. The pork belly though was disappointing to the point that we didn't even finish it. The steamed fish was decent, but there were a lot of big bones so you really have to be careful while eating it. It was also pretty expensive, around $55, and the portion size was just okay. The minced pork fried rice tasted like your typical fried rice, nothing memorable. The place gets really packed during dinner time, so expect a wait and maybe come before you get super hungry. It was also kind of hard to get the servers' attention, probably because they were busy with how crowded it gets. Overall, I'd say it's mid, especially for the price.

Casual modern interior with some outdoor patio seating as well. Good for small and large groups alike. Plenty of parking out front.

Aside from us, 5+ groups piled in for pickup after us. The worker kept insisting they've already started prepping the meal, once at 6:15, then at 6:30. Yet when we FINALLY received our food at 6:48pm, the food was hot. So all in all, we waited a ridiculously long time (almost an hour more than estimated) + had staff lying to our faces about progress and how much longer to wait... I dont know if their food is good, but their kitchen and staff are certainly not ready for service. Asian burritos are a trendy dish that honestly not enough places do, where you basically have to go all the way to Pasadena for the Panda Innovation Kitchen or Disney California Adventures offers one variety that rotates seasonally. What you get here is the classic Chinese lunch options like pepper beef or chicken and fried rice, wrapped in the convenient form of a burrito to make a very filling meal. Their sauces are also delicious, one that's a green sauce and one that's like a sweet and sour for a delicious flavor combination. Online order makes it convenient, but I will say I wish I could customize ingredients. They didn't list that there's avocado in it, which I'm not a fan of in general but also don't find it fits the flavor profile though I'm sure most people like it. It's only a few pieces and easy to navigate around. If you're looking for a new spin on the Chinese lunch special, head into New Shanghai to try their new menu with Anna's Kitchen! TIP: You can online order and they make it pretty fast.
