He was getting loud with the sweet young woman behind the counter. The young man who was working in the kitchen came out to have an explaination of the situaiton to the angry man. It took a while for us to get our order. I'd say at least 30 minutes. Once we were called up, we just picked up and left. We didn't check our order before we took off. We got back home in Riverside, unloaded everything, and realized one meal was missing from the order. I decided to call the store to let them know. I spoke to Joey, who identified himself at the night manager. I told him how the young woman behind the counter never lost her cool and how busy the restaurant was. Joey apologized for the failure and offered to make it right. We worked together to come to an agreement where we would come back another day and they would replace the missing meal. We came back on the day we said we would. The young man behind the counter didn't seem to know what I was talking about even though Joey said he'd leave a detailed note. No matter, I had my receipt with me and presented it along with a short story of the situation. The young man placed an order in the kitchen for us. We had our replacement meal in about 10 minutes. Honestly people... be nice. It's not hard. Things happen. Just use the nice words you have in your vocabulary and let the restaurant attempt to make it right. We'll be back. Dave's is good stuff.

I decided to give them another try because I drive by the Loma Linda location daily and on a whim decided to give them another try. I noticed on the menu they have an unfamiliar item, the "Classic Chicken Burrito" - and one my favorite menu items used to be the "All Chicken Burrito." Before I quit going to Baker's they changed from using two pieces of chicken breast to using a dried out chopped chicken that was just horrible. I asked the friendly cashier, and she told me this burrito has two pieces of chicken breast, red sauce, and cheese; just like the old "All Chicken Burrito." I ordered one and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. It took me back to 2019. And years ago when I quit going the bean and cheese burrito had shrunk in size to little more than a tortilla with about two tablespoons of beans and a dozen measly shreds of cheese - completely different than the bulky burrito with plenty of beans cheese I had loved for many years. And because my two long time favorites were both the chicken and B&C burrito, I decided to also get one of these. Again, I was very pleasantly surprised that they seem to have gone back to the old ways. The burrito was slightly smaller than they used to make them back in 2019, but big enough to give me those old times feels. And the beans were just perfect. I love that they are only partially mashed with plenty of whole beans in a thick bean soup. And to top it off, there was plenty of cheese inside. Altogether, I was blown away by how great the items I ate were. I'll definitely be going back. I can't wait to see if the burgers and fries have been revived back to their former greatness. Stoped by at this location for a quick bite and got the Waba meal with chicken and steak by a very friendly team member. I got in and out within 5 minutes and all the sauces and condiments were there. Once I open the box the meal was tasty and hot while the salad was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. Came last night with my kids because the location on Barton was closed. was kinda skeptic because of the reviews but the kids wanted Waba. I must say I was surprised the kids loved the Halloween decore and the food was great. They even had little candies out. The food: NAE Chicken Plate comes with a shredded cabbage salad and a half of an orange, along with a sizable amount of grilled chicken and your choice of white or brown rice and steamed veggies. Mini NAE Chicken Bowl comes with your choice of rice and mixed veggies and a much smaller portion of grilled chicken compared to the plate. It's a great size for kids or for those with smaller appetites. Mini Half and Half Bowl comes with your choice of any two meats: I chose steak bulgogi and organic tofu. My Thoughts: Bowls were very basic, standard run-of-the-mill rice bowls. The meats are marinated but not sauced. Sauces are added by the customer. The Magic Sauce is essentially teriyaki sauce. Wasn't very sweet, had a saltier profile. My preference would have been to be more on the sweeter than the saltier side. I also tried the hot sauce and the jalapeño hot sauce. They were both very vinegary, not very spicy, but along with the magic sauce I thought it was just okay. I did not receive the sweet sesame dressing that I ordered on the side nor was any on my salad so unable to review. The chicken was very fatty and had a few pieces of gristle here and there, so it made it very unappetizing to eat. Used the magic sauce for additional flavor but it was just too salty for my palate. The steak bulgogi was tender and lean, not fatty at all, which I liked. It had a light marinade flavor in the meat that was noticeable and tasty. I preferred the steak over the chicken. The tofu was terrible and I normally like tofu, but this one had an odd chewiness to it that wasn't appealing. It was also very dry and flavorless. Would not get again. The steamed vegetables consisted of broccoli, carrots, and cabbage. Very very bland. No oil, butter, or seasoning. Again, tried it with some of the magic sauce but it was just too salty for my liking. The food didn't WOW me and I expected more from the sauces, but was slightly disappointed overall. I probably won't return to another Flame Broiler for another 10 years or so.
