The specials usually come with a soup and a rice as well, but the soup was sold out by dinner time. We ordered Chicken and Corn over Rice, Stir-Fried Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce, Beef Chow Fun with Soy Sauce, Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Chop. Whenever I come to these type of restaurants, I usually order the same type of items. The chicken and corn over rice at this restaurant was just OK. It was typical and nothing special, but I still enjoyed it. The Stir-Fried Fish Filet was good and went well with the white rice. The beef Chow Fun is standard and the same as everywhere else. Can't go wrong with this staple. The one you dish that we did try was the grilled lemongrass pork chop. We don't usually order this but decided to give it a try this time. We went to New Fusion after watching a movie on Saturday night. We hadn't been there for years, but we used to dine there often when we lived in Temple City. It's located on Baldwin Ave at the LAF Plaza in Arcadia (there used to be a Burlington there). We had a party of 8, so we ordered quite a few dishes: stir-fried string beans in garlic sauce, French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper, shredded free-range chicken, water spinach with spicy bean curd sauce, sweet and sour spare ribs, spicy eggplant with minced pork in a clay pot, and crispy beef stew served with curry sauce. The first few dishes arrived quickly, and every dish was flavorful and delicious. We especially liked the string beans and the water spinach. The French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper was addictive, and surprisingly it wasn't spicy at all. The shredded free-range chicken tasted fresh, while the eggplant with minced pork clay pot was just okay. The last two dishes took quite a while to arrive after we had already finished most of our meal. The sweet and sour spare ribs flavor was on point. However, we had to check on our final dish several times because we waited more than 30 minutes for the crispy beef stew with curry sauce. My mom picked New Fusion for our family dinner to celebrate Lunar New Year on a Sunday evening a few weeks ago. When we had arrived, the restaurant was actually pretty busy and I saw quite a few very large tables (20+ people at 2 tables and 12+ at another, for example). As a delivery driver, I had a very frustrating experience at this restaurant. When I arrived, my order had already been ready for around 30 minutes, yet no one acknowledged me. The staff were focused on other customers and completely ignored delivery drivers, even though we are part of their business. When I politely asked if my order was ready, two employees spoke to each other, laughed, and didn't take my question seriously. It felt very disrespectful and unprofessional.
