I'm a driver on the road all week. I eat at waba grills 2-3 times a week. This location is the only one I will take the time and write a review. Smallest portions I've ever seen. They limit you to 2 hot sauce's per bowl. They are just so petty compared to other waba grills. They can't even trust there so called valued customers with the code to the restroom. Ok, REALLY NICE workers there, but what is up with those "short ribs??" I brought a 90 year old man with me today to try this place. We spent $20, and both left hungry!! The ribs are all bone and fat, with VERY LITTlE meat! Then to make up for it, and try to fill you up by giving you a pound of rice!! We basically paid 20 bucks for rice! What am amazing reception! Brandon rocks! Super friendly and joyous. I wouldn't he surprised if he's a motivational speaker! His beautiful soul illuminates this place. I was in the area for work and came in before my shift to eat something and was greeted by this wonderful person. I'm a vegetarian so I get the tofu bowl. This is my first time getting it from Waba Grill for delivery. It was a disappointing experience. The tofu wasn't even cooked, just two slices. There was no sauce within the bowl either. The bowl was only half filled, I might as well have ordered a mini bowl because that's barely what I received. The other portion of the order was incorrect. First of all cashier was rude and rushing, he gave me my total and didn't even give me the chance to say I wanted avacado. Then when my order was ready the girl just called it out and walked away. I get home and when I saw my food i was so disappointed. They gave me an old avocado that was already brown and I don't feel like my salmon was cooked right and the veggies and rice tasted weird. I just realized that I never wrote my review of this place! Anyway, when I went, the place had just opened up. (It didn't even have a Yelp page, yet!) Well, I had never been to a WaBa Grill before, and upon looking at the menu, it reminded me of Flame Broiler. I ordered three chicken bowls - one with vegetables - for my boyfriend, my boyfriend's mother, and me. The cashier was very helpful and patient, as I kind of stood there for a bit trying to figure out the menu. Luckily, there was no one behind me, but about seven other people in the restaurant. Most of them were waiting for to-go orders. It wasn't too long before my order was ready, and the person who bagged up my chicken bowls was really nice and gave me pretty much everything I needed in the bag; sauces, napkins, utensils. Once I got home, we ate. It was good. It felt like a healthy alternative to a burger and fries, etc. (Again, it seriously just reminded me of Flame Broiler. Are they each other's competition?) We're vegan so can't comment on how the meat tastes or is prepared. We just moved nearby, and the veggie bowls are so convenient and tasty for $5. It's practically double the size of Jack in the Box's teriyaki bowl for pretty much the same price. The teriyaki sauce is thick and tastes good. They give you plenty of broccoli and carrots and cabbage. Buying our own rice and produce is obviously cheaper in the long run, but we're living without a refrigerator right now, haha. The employees are also SUPER nice and hyped to help you. We'll be coming back often! read more
