I came for Good Habits Day where Habit Burger & Grill was offering a free Double Char with Cheese when you donate at least $1 to No Kid Hungry and make a minimum purchase of $5. I happened to be in the area on that rainy Saturday morning, so I figured I'd pay a visit and see how this Habit Burger location would compare to the ones closer to me. I was pretty much the first customer of the day; I could tell because I had arrived about 10 minutes after opening, and there were no customers inside. They had 2-3 kiosks between the front counter and door, but this promo wouldn't have worked at a kiosk; you would have to order with a cashier per the sign between two kiosks. That sign said getting the free Double Char was as easy as 1, 2, 3, but I'm dubious that you would have to sign up for the CharClub on GoodHabitsDay.com, which redirects you to Habit Burger's registration webpage. I didn't see anything in the app that mentioned anything about this promo, so I'm sure non-members could still take advantage as long as they spent no less than $6 at the register. A female cashier (Areli?) was ready to take my order, but did have trouble ringing me up for the Free Double Char that she needed help from a manager. It took a while to get it all sorted, but she was able to ring me up albeit sans Double Char. I almost thought I wasn't getting the Double Char, but she assured me I would be; I guess she must have rang it up on a different transaction, and that may have caused some confusion with pickup? Another customer came in and dropped her umbrella in a bin by the front door. I thought I was supposed to drop my umbrella there, but it turns out that was the trash can. Oops? She was in and out pretty quickly, but didn't quite leave when my order was ready. Areli called out the next number after mine even though I could tell that was my order. I asked Areli which number that was, and even though they were one apart, she kind of flippantly responded like they were the same number. So two and two make five instead of four then? I genuinely hope she doesn't call out the incorrect order numbers like that any other time and cause customers to get someone else's orders. I even asked Areli for a pager similar to the other locations I've been to, but she said this location doesn't have such pagers. Well maybe they should consider utilizing them if they're not going to bother calling out the correct order numbers at this location. I asked Areli how long it would take for them to prepare my order; she wasn't totally sure, but guesstimated 5 minutes. Actual wait time was 7 minutes instead. If that was really a guess, it's a lucky guess lol. To meet the $5 minimum purchase requirement, I ordered the Tempura Green Beans, a favorite that an OCA (Online Community Ambassador) demanded that I get, plus a side of Avocado Ranch. Areli must not be good with numbers because when I asked her how much a side of sauce would cost, she said 66 cents when it was really 60 cents. When I got my order, I actually got two sauces; I had forgotten that the Tempura Green Beans already come with a side of ranch, and one side of sauce should be enough for a serving of these Tempura Green Beans. I thought about using the other sauce on my burger, but that would have made things messy; I kept the ranch for a future meal and used the avocado ranch on the Tempura Green Beans. The Tempura Green Beans were quite good, but they weren't nearly as crispy compared to when I had them in Long Beach earlier this year. Those were great, but these didn't quite compare. And the avocado ranch flavor was kind of muted as well. Still good nonetheless, but plenty of room for improvement here. All things being said, I almost thought about giving 2 stars here, but I'll give the third star because I liked the Double Char with Cheese. Solid taste overall, except the edges of one of the patties were a little burnt that I almost thought I was chewing on something hard. Otherwise, it made for a somewhat decent meal after a long and tough week. Areli was working hard filling up cups of ranch behind the front counter, but did take a moment to thank me for my business and wish me a good day. Apart from faltering at the numbers game, she wasn't too bad overall. Hopefully later that day, she didn't have trouble ringing up other customers for the Good Habits Day promo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This Habit Burger & Grill in Norwalk is located in Paddison Square on the northwest corner of Norwalk and Imperial. Same plaza as Target, but Habit Burger is in a standalone building on the east end adjacent to Norwalk Blvd. They also have an outdoor patio, but the roof only covers a fraction of the patio, so the rain was splattering on some of the tables outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, just an okay Habit Burger & Grill location to go to, but I likely won't be returning to this one since I'm not in Norwalk a whole lot. There's another Habit Burger on Imperial just 4 miles east in La Mirada. You might have better luck there. read more

My husband and I had dinner here before we watched a movie. We ordered our food via the kiosk which was really convenient. My husband is particular about the condiments and toppings on his burgers and we were glad to find that we were able to still personalize everything. While we waited we got our drinks. The handcrafted juices were really good (on the sweet side if you like that). Not all of our food was ready at the same time, so we were given what was done and then they delivered the rest shortly thereafter (even with some extra sauce!!!). 4/29/25, It's been like 6 years since I been back to this location since before Covid, and it's been like 10 years since I actually ordered a burger with cheese on it. I have to say that the burger was actually good, better than Shake Shack in my opinion, and better tasting than In and Out burgers. I ordered my burger without all those nasty grilled onions this place puts on the burger. I'm only giving this place a 3-star rating since my $3.99 fries were small and way over-cooked. Also, since when did this place start charging 60 cents for a side of ranch dressing for the fries? What a rip off! I had the cashier girl refund me the .60 cents and she put back the ranch. The ketchup dispenser was completely empty, so I had to tell her about that so that she or someone could refill the ketchup dispenser. Mediocre customer service. Mediocre staff that is unable to read an order and deliver. How hard is it to read from your machines? The receipt itself tells you item by item what is being served. To add insult to injury, not only are you offered a single serving of their sauce with the purchase of a fried item, you pay almost a dollar for extras. Well, we paid for extras that were not on the mobile pick-up order bag. When I take that bag home I have full confidence they are delivering what I paid for. Sauces are a huge part of your business model. The cynicism to take our very hard earned money and not deliver even if it is a couple dollars. How many times does this happen in a day? I decided to grab lunch at The Habit today. In an effort to eat less red meat, and because I didn't feel like having chicken, I ordered the Ahi Tuna Sandwich with sourdough bread...without tarter sauce. A well made burger for under $5! Come on, does it even get much better than this? I've made the Habit a Habit of Mine! The chargrilled to perfection burger with caramelized onions, pickles, tomatoes and crisp lettuce. I order my charburger lettuce wrapped and with cheese and their ever so crisp tempura green beans. The Habit is a chain but you wouldn't know it with the customer care and fresh ingredients! You're treated like you're in a mom & pop shop! I also enjoy their monthly menu features especially the French Onion Burger they offered before! (Bring it back please). This location is conveniently located close to Norwalk courthouse, city Hall and does get quite busy at noon. It's located in a shopping center with plenty of parking! read more

this place used to be pretty good. The last couple times I've gone here the burgers have zero seasoning on them, and they are squeezed to death, dry and cold. Been in Cali 5 years, these might have been the worst burgers I've had here. I weighed a single Patty they are 1.8oz. What!?! Wendys are 3.8 oz more than double! And if you pay $1.80 for bacon, you get two pieces. And green beans you get 10 for like $3.80. Got fries, old cold and dry like some of the pictures you see. You can get a potato for .20! Throw out the hour old dry fries and give customers something fresh! I can't even fathom how this place is so busy with wendys across the street. Cold dry food, very small portions, and double the price for what you can get at Wendy's. I gave this place a few tries, but I will never go back here.
