Food is good but the worst service - always rushing - no customer service skill whatsoever-

Waba grill is not that great .. they advertise they give melon as fruit and they give you a piece of orange instead .. the food has no flavor ... go to max grill instead in bellflower . Food is much fresher with more flavor and they have more choices .. read more

Went the Saturday before they officially opened, I went around 8pm. I ordered the chicken bowl and they actually ran out! It wasn't a big deal because I think it was only the second day open and there were a lot of people. I ordered the beef bowl and sat on the bench and waited. About 10 min after I ordered the person who I'm assuming is in charge announced that they were also out of beef, So they switched my order to the spare ribs at no additional charge. He did say it would take another 15 min cuz the spare ribs take longer. I started to get a little annoyed but I'm usually really calm so I waited. About another 10 min pass so I'm thinking in another 5 min or so I would have my food, the person sitting next to me asked about the shrimp plate he ordered and I over heard them say "oh they just put it on the grill and it'll be 15 min" at this point I notice that they also just put the spare ribs on the grill so my 15 min of waiting just turned into 25 min and keep in mind I had already been there waiting. So after a little less than 40 min later I asked for a refund and left without any food. The following Monday my wife asked me to get her a chicken bowl from WaBa grill so I go back even though I really don't want to. It's around lunch time so it's pretty busy, luckily they were fully stocked. My problem This time is that there is NO ONE there that expedites the food properly. Here's the scenario: Customer walks in orders chicken bowl and is given #1. A little later another customer walks in and also orders a chicken bowl and is given #20. Both customers sit and wait. Five minutes pass and customer asks about order #20 and person behind counter scrambles and give customer the first chicken bowl she sees completely ignoring the fact that customer #1 is still waiting. This happened while I was there and it was frustrating not only to me but also to the cooks. The cook yelled at the person behind the counter when she tried to grab random orders and hand them out. She would even take bowls that belonged to a multiple bowl order and handed them out. When I got home my wife complained about how it didn't taste right and the the portions were way TOO small. Will avoid this place at all costs, save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Service is fast, staff is friendly, and the food tastes great!!! That's hard to say about express food. It actually tastes fresh and healthy. I almost always get a bowl, sometimes with brown rice, and sometimes with no rice and extra veggies. Portions are just the right size... Too much for me, but enough to fill up my boyfriend's tummy. I like this particular location because it is extremely immaculate. There is another one that I go to near my work place and I don't like how there are sauce bottles on their sticky tables. I just love how clean it is. I hope they keep it that way! read more

When you think of management you think of someone respectful that will address issues. Not someone who will yell at a costumer and continue to go speak about a costumer to his employees while you are still there. Disrespect. No management skill. Worst experience ever. Never again. read more

Horrible place. The food is okay I guess but the manager is horrible. So unprofessional. He uses fowl language in front of customers and yells at the workers. I would hate to work at this place. Definitely not a place to take the family. read more

I don't know if it's just this location or not, but when I got the chicken bowl, the chicken were chopped into tiny pieces and way overcooked. The chicken was drenched in sauce to covered up the tough tiny pieces of chicken. I wanted to taste the chicken and not just the sauce. I had way better teriyaki chicken elsewhere where the pieces of chicken weren't turned into dogfood. I'm not going back there or any Waba Grill in the future. I'll stick with my local fav, the Golden Bowl. read more

I love that they opened a waba grill in Norwalk. I've gone about once every other week since it opened and have yet to be disappointed. The owner (or at least who seems to be the owner) is very friendly and even gave me free coupons for being such a loyal customer. Even my dog loves waba grill (he eats it with no sauce). read more

Combo bowl with brown rice and green onions, is the only thing I order. So damn good. Don't forget the sauce. You won't be disappointed. P.S. They ALWAYS have great customer service and take pride in the service they are providing. read more

I ordered a chicken bowl (extra meat) all I got was extra rice with the same amount of chicken. It's an illusion to make you think that theirs more meat but all they did was pack it with rice and placed the meat on top. So much that the lid almost couldn't close. read more

I have only been to this WaBa once before. The first time I was here, my experience was pleasant and was welcomed by an Asian looking fellow which I presumed was the owner/manager. Today I went in to get some food for my family and did not receive the same warm welcome. Adriana (according to my receipt) took my order quite un-enthusiastically which is fine because I've also worked in retail and food service and know you won't always be your best. As my order was almost out, I remembered I was supposed to get extra food and apologetically asked if I could order an additional bowl. Adrianna gave me the most annoyed and discouraging look and sigh I imagine she can produce then replied "wait". Finishes what she was doing (bagging my initial order) and walks to the register and says "What do you want?" with a very bad attitude. I was the only person in the restaurant and it wasn't closing for another 4 hours. Not sure what the reasoning behind the bad attitude was but this employee definitely needs to be re-trained. The person who was actually cooking the food which was a fella in the back, didn't have any problem with making another bowl since the chicken was already ready, but the check out person definitely had an issue keying it in. read more

I used to frequent this one often and was always impressed with the Asian looking guy that worked there, he was friendly and knew what he was doing. I went today and noticed a big difference, it seems as if new owners took over the establishment. Today my steak bowl was skimpy on the steak and the bits of steak were dried out and not a lot sauce or vegetables. In the future I will be driving to the one Bellflower. read more

I personally have Waba Grill being one of my favorites and I decided to choose this location to go after school because I assumed they also had the $5 chicken bowl deal and I ask the worker and she had no idea how to answer it and I felt annoyed as my question had no clear answer to it. This WaBa Grill does not accept coupons. - think it operates independently from main WaBa Grill establishments. Also, closed on Sundays. Continues operating when they run out of food for the day, like steak or shrimp, which is pretty much go with most of their menu items (Example: the signature WaBa bowl is chicken AND steak) also, currently has a "C" rating from the health department of Los Angeles county read more

I went to this WaBa Grill being that I had a coupon for 2 waba bowls for $11.99. First of the guy at the register obviously doesn't want to be there was rude. He was very monotone and when I asked for some waba sauce he simply pointed and asked for the next customer. 2. The place is filthy, it looked like the place just got robbed. I love eating at Waba Grill and was so excited when I didn't have to drive 10 miles to get to it! Everytime I come and get a bowl to go I am greeted by friendly cashiers and smiles. The portions are just the right size for me, but I do always take extra teriyaki sauce. I eat here at least 3 times a week. The restaurant is clean and the manager is always there making sure everything is ok and I'm sure he knows me by now since I'm there so much! read more

Came in for dinner and was helped by a great cashier but was kind of frighten by the horrible Asian guy who seem upset for some reason and was chopping to loud and it was hard to communicate with the cashier , he shouldn't be allowed to be chopping things he seemed dangerous ! I love going to Waba Grill but enjoy going to this particular place because of one of the workers. Her name is Adrian and she's really friendly. Every time I come in she greets me and flashes a huge smile that is enough to turn anyone's day around. The food is delicious and the workers are great.
