Love looking forward to WaBa, spending 14 bucks, driving home only to see my order was wrong. Ordered a WaBa bowl which has no steak and only chicken. The chicken was good, rice was dry and not getting my steak was obnoxious otherwise I would've just made chicken at home.

I don't usually eat here but I wanted something healthy, quick and fresh and this was the nearest thing that offered that. I ordered their chicken bowl and saw signs for their Boom Boom tacos and tried the steak one. I could not believe how good the steak taco was! If the Hawaiian food restaurants they would add this to their menu. The steak taco was thin pieces of meat marinated in teriyaki sauce and placed in a thin tortilla with cabbage, green onion and spicy mayo. It's literally the best tasting thing there. I ordered the taco trio the next day. I don't care for rice, so this is a great compromise and you won't get full from the rice but you will be full if you get the taco trio. It's one of those hold menu items that will hold you over. I've yet to try the shrimp and chicken tacos but I'm good with the steak tacos.

Before they used to put enough to fill one person smh.

I went in for two chicken bowl. Bowl have little to no chicken. Went a couple months ago and it was good. Idk if they running out of chicken but this is crazy

$15.82 if you ask for veggies need to pay $3.00 dlls more .

I went to waba about a month ago and I ordered a Bowl with two meats and vegetables included the price of the bowl was $15.82 than I went back July 1 and purchased the same Bowl but this time the cashier charged me extra for the vegetables I ask her why she charging me more and she told me I have to pay extra I refuse to pay extra because I never paid extra before and my plates have s little meats comparing to the other times i been there again.

This review is strictly based on their Tacos (New Menu Item). I mean, I can't complain! They were much to my surprise good! I ordered a shrimp, steak, and chicken taco. My favorite was the shrimp. From the cook of the shrimp, tortilla, and toppings (cabbage), the texture of this taco was all on point. Definitely my fave. I also enjoyed the chicken taco. Same type of review with regards to texture as the shrimp. The steak taco was a little too sweet for my liking. It reminded me of a Korean style taco I once had. Not bad at all, just not my favorite. All three tacos are a little on the sweet side but have good flavors. What you see is what you get. If you've had a steak or chicken bowl, you'll be getting the same flavors but in a tortilla with texture and creamy sauce. I see you Waba Grill! I'm not mad at these tacos! Ambience was average like every Waba I've ever visited. The Cashier was friendly and helpful. I would recommend these tacos for sure. They will cost you about $2 each.

I like this place. I would definitely go again. Inside this location is pretty small, not much ventilation for a hot May day, but for the most part there is ample seating for friends. If you plan on bring your baby, like my friend did, you may want to consider where you would place the car seat. The location is located on the busy corner of Grand and Seventeenth street, behind Denny's, next to Game Stop, across the street from Big O' Tires. That should be enough description to NOT get you lost. As far as the food goes, it's quick and delicious. Although I didn't pay for this meal, it did cost my other friend about $20 for two of the same meal - Chicken-steak plate - a combo of beef, chicken, and drink. The combo had a small side salad, diced chicken, diced beef, topped over a bed of rice which, impressively, you have the option of white or brown rice. This huge meal is served in a take-out container so it even seems that this location knows the amount of food they serve their customers. This franchise brags of freshness, no skin on their meat, no frying, no trans fat, and no msg, so you're just going to have to trust the flavor. You options too. Onions? Yes, please. Overall, a great place for a quick eat in this busy area of town. I'd eat here rather than the other locations near by: Denny's, Hometown, McDonalds, KFC, and other junky places...though there is a Subway, but Waba Grill is a good alternative for a hot meal. I recommend bringing great company. It makes for completing your meal as you keep updated with friends.

BUSINESS PERMANENTLY CLOSING 6/28/26…read more Came here with some gals for afternoon tea. It's a cute little restaurant in Old Towne Orange. It's decorated really cute inside and out! Everything was creatively planned and decorated. It was also very clean and spacious inside and out. Our server was really sweet, but she was the only one serving all of the tables, so she would come by every 10-20 minutes to check on us and some things we asked for didn't make it to the table. If they had more servers, customers would be happy with quicker service. The food and tea were delish! There were 6 of us so we shared a bunch of different teas. I really enjoyed the teas they had. The sweet and savory treats were really yummy! I really enjoyed them. Each person got 5 little savory treats and 4 sweet treats. I kind of wish we got one or two more for $45, but either way they were delicious! We had a great time and were sad to learn that the business will be permanently closing down tomorrow (6/28/26), I would have loved to continue going back!

Place has a clean look with ample seating for about 15 parties. This is truly a family restaurant as they have young kids helping out in the back. I feel a bit sorry they have to be around here late at night (11pm) but I get the necessity as growing up I was in the same shoes. The have a fantastic Managers Special going on right now advertised outside. I ordered all 3 of the specials: 1) pho with 2 beef bones: 5 stars really great broth and fall of the bone meat. Really tasty and filling 2) lemon grass chicken or pork with steamed rice: 5 stars We liked the pork one better than the chicken but the dishes were still tasty. The chicken didn't stay as tender during the meal and was kinda dry as we were eating it 3) grilled chicken fried rice: 5 stars Tasty fried rice and the grilled chicken was tender and had a nice marinade I would like to try all the other dishes but it's hard to get away from the Managers Special as $16 dishes are discounted down to $11 here. They are open until midnight so if you are hungry and everything is closing, highly recommend giving this place a try. Great food in 2 visits so far

The decorations, the lights, and the music all come together to give an ambiance that just feels so inviting to where you want to take your time while you're here. The service is top notch, all the staff are lively and accommodating. The menu is very creative including fun drink names and plenty of versatility in the types of dishes you can order. Be on the lookout for special dishes on different days of the week. We ordered the steak and mushroom skewers which are nice appetizers to hold you over until the entrees hit the table. The drinks hit the spot as well and luckily we came during happy hour so we got a little discount on the apps/drinks. We decided to try roasted half chicken with the potato salad which were both absolutely fantastic. The chicken was cooked perfectly, just incredibly tender and juicy. The potato salad was well seasoned, had a great texture, and was a nice compliment to the chicken. As we were eating, a DJ came in and started mixing up some cool tracks which just amplified our experience even more. Also, Sonder is my favorite word so bonus points there (I guess I'm biased). From the friendly, attentive service to the aesthetic interior to the creative food taste profiles and presentation, everything is chef's kiss! I add tiny apple slices to sandwiches now lol - Spicy miso carbonara - Savory and creamy. I have a low spice tolerance but this was not that spicy for me - Truffle funghi pizza - great for lovers of truffle, mushroom, and arugula - Truffle cheese bread - also a melt in your mouth sensation. 10/10 cheese pull I also tried the summer menu and I loved the mixed beet salad (refreshing) and crab roe spaghetti. There was a crowd of people waiting outside so I was a bit nervous that it would take really long. But we added our name to the waitlist on the iPad outside and we were sat in less than 30 minutes (when we went on the list, we were party 13). The wait went by super fast! By the time we finished our meal, there were lots of open seats. I first heard of this place as a "copycat Din Tai Fung". I actually think it's better to think of this place as another Taiwanese restaurant that serves similar food to DTF, but not a copycat. Although some of the popular items are the same (XLBs for example) the restaurants are definitely different. Firstly, the service here is SO FAST. And all the servers were really kind! We ordered our food and it felt like everything came out within MINUTES of each other. By the time we had all our savory dishes, I had only taken one bite out of the first dish. That's how fast it was! Haha We ended up ordering: Spicy XLBs, Beef Roll, Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup, and Taro XLBs for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS! My husband's favorite was the Beef Roll, while I think my favorite may have been the soup. The Spicy XLBs (4/5) were great! They felt quite large as I ALMOST had to eat them in two bites (but like why would I ever do that). Flavor was great and I thought there was actually very little spice in these. Compared to DTF'x XLBs, I thought these were just as juicy, but less ginger-forward (which made it feel less flavorful), and more sweet. I was personally missing some acid and wanted a bit more salt cuz it was a tad sweet. The Beef Rolls were pretty good too (4.25/5)! Nice and crispy. Even though it's pan fried, it felt light because of the vegetables. And I know this is weird to say, but the combination of beef, hoison sauce, and veggies almost tasted like pho flavors...but crispy? Yummy! I personally again wanted a bit more salt. But I'd definitely order again. Now for my favorite, the Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup (4.5/5). WOOWWEEE! She's spicy! And I have a good spice tolerance so beware. I really loved the flavor of the broth. It was spicy and also had a really clean flavor. It looked like it would be a watery broth but WRONG! It was so flavorful. I loved the chewy noodles too and even the noodles on their own were spicy cuz they clung onto the broth. A really delicious soup! I'd love to eat this on a cold winter's day or when I'm sick. Delicious! The Taro XLBs (3.9/4) were pretty good too, but skippable. They weren't too sweet, which was nice. They had a lovely consistency and good taro flavor. But compared to everything else, they weren't that special. Overall, a really delicious restaurant! I'd definitely come here if I was craving XLBs/Taiwanese food.
