Stopped by for lunch while out running errands! The place is small but quaint. The waitress who helped us was nice! Their price was a bit high but the food is decent.

Food was super good and service was also good. The ambience of the place isn't as great in my opinion. Very quiet inside and kind of awkward. I have only ordered Togo from this restaurant and it was my first time dining in. I would dine in again if it's busy inside or at least 7 tables filled. I was alone with my wife and it seemed a bit awkward because it was only us 2 inside the restaurant. But the thing I would recommend them doing is playing music. It's very quiet inside

I met up with someone special I haven't seen for years and they suggested Wabune Sushi because the food here was so tasty on their last visit. We got here right at opening time (12 p.m) and sat right away. There is a host stand at the front and a you get back further, you can choose to sit right up at the sushi bar or at a partial table/booth. We both started out with iced waters. After quite a bit of time and talking and admiring their fish lights and wall decor, we started with an appetizer- Wicked shrimp. It is tempura shrimp stuffed with crab mix, special sauce, green onions, and topped with sesame seeds. Those were creamy and delicious! For our sushi, our rolls looked similar. My friend ordered the Sunrise roll- shrimp tempura with crab mix with avocado, unagi sauce, cream sauce, green onion, and masago- but without the sauces. I ordered the Yon roll- shrimp tempura, crab mix, avocado, salmon, lemon, unagi sauce, creamy sauce, green onion, masago, and mg... idk what mg is. Mine was very tasty and instead of green onions, it had micro greens. I loved that super thin slice of lemon with each bite. The salmon tasted very fresh and the lemon gave it a superior taste! Our server was very patient with us as we sat for a long while and caught up. We both used the bathroom... which was only one of two negatives I saw while we were there. It was filthy. The baby changing table is definitely not safe unless you put down a protection sheet or blanket before you lay your child down... stains on the sink and a dirty trash can you have to push your use paper towels into... I know that is not what we were here for, but this review is based upon all aspects of my visit. Also, the water we ordered tasted like pond water. Thankfully, I travel with a case of water in my car. Our food and service was great. The interior designs on the walls and lighting was unique and fun to look at. I look forward to trying something different next time I come.

Came here because I saw a video on IG and it went hard, but it was very empty when we came for dinner. Overall experience was decent but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. We got 2 sushi rolls & fried ika. Nothing too unique. Most of their rolls seemed to be very similar to each other so they all kind of tasted the same. The fried ika was nice, they had 2 type of calamari and we picked this one because it seemed a bit more traditional. It was fried very nicely. Interior is cute, very small.

Great place for Japanese food! We came in and were seated immediately. Our drink orders were taken while we looked at the menu. Once our food orders were taken, it didn't take long for them to arrive at our table. And the staff were always there for you, for additional orders or drink refills. The place was beautifully decorated! The decor was pleasing to the eyes, and the place was well lit. And most of all, the price was really affordable. Compared to our preferred Japanese place, Wabune runs circles around it - for the service, for the ambiance, the quality of the food and especially the price! If you're in the area and looking for Japanese, this is the place!

I love supporting local spots, but I was disappointed with my visit today. I've been here several times (dine-in, takeout, and DoorDash) and usually enjoy their rolls, selection of premium fish like toro and uni, and the customer service has always been good. However, the sashimi portion today was very small--especially for $45. The pieces looked like they were cut in half and the amount didn't feel worth the price. There was also a lot of lemon placed in the middle, which affected some of the fish. I'll still come back for rolls and nigiri, but I'll be skipping the sashimi and chirashi going forward.

We absolutely love this sushi restaurant. Everyone has such a great attitude and are very nice. The chefs do ana amazing job. Splurge and get the chefs creation roll. We get it every time we go, and they always make it different than the time before. Perfection every time! We are excited to try their Omakase experience next!

Came in on a Monday night and it was pretty empty. Kind of a dimly lit restaurant. We ordered the ika geso and it was probably my favorite dish of the night. Also got the beef pan fried noodle. I wasn't really a fan of the noodle texture. It seemed too firm but the dish came with lots of beef. Also has veggies like carrot, broccoli, and zucchini. Got the rocky and dragon rolls and both were yummy!

A new neighborhood sushi joint ? Yes! It's exactly what we needed . When I had seen that soho express had went out of business and wabune took over , I was really happy ! The pictures of what wabune had to offer looked really good ! Eric is always so nice when seating people and both chef Mike and chef g do everything so well when it comes to preparing diand making sure customers satisfaction is a top priority . I'm here every week and recommend some of my favorites : hamachi carpaccio , albacore on fire , the Taj Mahal, yon , amazing torched , and the Chu toro . Everything from the ambiance , food, and customer service is top notch . I highly recommend !

    Veggie Udon

I recently had lunch here with my husband and another couple. Service was genuinely friendly. I had Tonkatsu Ramen. I realize this is first and mostly a sushi restaurant, not a Ramen restaurant. I felt my Ramen was underwhelming, with the broth lacking in depth of flavor. I also missed a few ingredients that are often (not always) used, such as Kikurage mushrooms and bamboo shoots. The chashu was tasty. My husband had Veggie Udon, which he liked quite a bit. It came with a few rectangular blocks of steamed tofu, and also had several pieces of broccoli, cabbage, mushrooms, and cucumber. He found the noodles cooked to his liking, and the broth tasty. The other couple in our party both enjoyed their selections. So, overall, a very good experience. For me, it was a 3 out of 5, but as the others all enjoyed their picks more, and for the friendly service, I'm going to bump it up to 4.

I've seen this restaurant post a lot in the community groups so I decided to try it. I would closer consider this a 3.5/5 however in comparison to other small sushi restaurants I can't bump it up to 4. I had 2 rolls. Appetizer and dessert Black widow roll - it needs more sauce. The outside has nice texture and flavor. But the crab mix and cream cheese on the inside is lacking sauce and flavor. Spicy tuna roll (I forget the name) - this was delicious. Had a light kick. Stuffed mushroom - this was really good. Ice cream - not my cup of tea. So the main reason why I say I can't give it a higher rating and bumped down to 3 is because they have a limited menu and their sushi is pricy. The average roll is $16-18. Most of the rolls are tuna, shrimp, salmon, crab. This compared to a similar restaurant like sushi hook. Their rolls are around $11-12 and a large variety of offerings. More variety and reduced pricing would definitely bump up the rating. $18 is almost mikunis and arigato level of pricing.

They just recently opened and maybe they are still short staffed in the kitchen because service was slow. We got seated right away, our orders taken as soon as we were ready but our food took a while to come out. Kitchen was busy fulfilling to go orders. Food was just ok: Agedashi tofu - crispy on the outside and soft inside with yummy dipping sauce. Be careful when eating because this one is served fresh from the frying pan so it is hot. Wicked shrimp - I was not a fan of the sauce Petra roll - the creamy sauce was overpowering and the sushi wasn't rolled tightly so it breaks apart easily. This is one of the chef's specialty and I think there's too much happening with this roll that the flavors just did not work for me. It wasn't bad I would order something different next time. They had a TV playing the college football game. The place has fish lights which was interesting. Casual vibe and set-up.

    Agedashi tofu & hamachi carpaccio

PSA: if you use a portable LED light at a restaurant to take food pics, be spatially aware and don't shine the light straight at another patron lol. I was being blinded by an Instagrammer while I was eating. Also seemed like she knew someone working there so she received extra care by the whole staff crew in terms of service..... Anyway, the food that I tried here was just alright. I enjoyed the crispiness of the agedashi tofu but very skimpy on the dashi broth. Also, too heavy-handed on the bonito flakes making the appetizer a bit salty. Not the most melt-in-your-mouth hamachi in the hamachi carpaccio and the fried leeks on top had a jarring charred taste. Delicious sauce for the hamachi though. Service: kinda alluded to it earlier but I left the place feeling cold-shouldered by the staff as more attention went towards the Instagrammer (she and I were the only ones dining at the time). Overall I've experienced better soft openings but this spot is still worth a shot if you live in the vicinity and have a general hankering for some Japanese grub.

Nigiris, amazing Torched roll, 2 spider rolls, baked salon roll YUMMMYYY!

I visited on a weekend afternoon and was the only customer in the restaurant, with just one chef and one server present. I ordered a torched roll. I could hear the torch being applied for several seconds, and when the plate arrived the rice was literally blackened and crunchy from being burned. The albacore on top was stiff and overcooked, the sauce was excessive, and the shrimp tempura inside was soggy. Every component was mishandled -- from ingredient freshness to execution -- and after two bites I felt sick and could not continue eating it. I considered asking for a replacement, but the chef left the restaurant immediately after serving the dish. The server was polite and understanding when I explained I couldn't eat the food, and I left without ordering anything else. I have given this restaurant multiple chances and this was the final one. With several other sushi restaurants nearby, I strongly recommend choosing elsewhere.

Customer Service: 0/10 It was our first time here, and the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We ordered our food from a kiosk, and the young Asian lady working didn't even inform us that there was self-serve water or where to find to-go boxes; we had to figure it out ourselves and go ask. Worse, she completely ignored my daughter when she tried to ask a question, literally trying to make herself look busy even though she knew my daughter was speaking to her. During our meal, we noticed that while she completely ignored us, she actively greeted and thanked the other customers who came in after us. When we left, she was standing right at the cash register and completely ignored us again. It is incredibly disappointing to see an employee be so selective about who they want to greet and provide decent customer service to. Furthermore, whether she is part of the family that owns the place or not, her attire was entirely inappropriate for a work environment--she was wearing black-and-white checkered pajama pants with an oversized t-shirt. Professionalism and basic courtesy seem entirely missing here. Please do better. Food Review: * Cucumber Salad: Had no flavor. It was basically just sliced cucumber tossed with some sesame oil. It had a banner saying "grand opening", which could make some people hesitant about trying new places. But we love food and thought since it's a new place, more likely everything is new. We walked in and were immediately seated and the host explained to us how to order and such. The iPad ordering was a plus, since you don't have to wait for your server if you need anything, you can just order it and it comes within minutes. We got the "all you can eat" and immediately added our sides which were pretty good, different from other KBBQ we've had. Though they were delicious and perfect to prep your tummy for all the food you're about to load it with Most of them are fermented so it's actually good for you. We don't eat pork so only ordered mainly beef. Started with beef belly, brisket and bugolgi. These were very tasty with the condiments you dip it in. I had mine as a taco with the radish wrap, and my fiance had his with rice. He loved every bite and every side! He's a picky guy when it comes to his food. But the minute he got a hold of this, he was so excited and kept saying he was in heaven He even had 3 beers, which he hardly ever does. But he LOVES Sapporo beer with his KNBQ. We enjoyed the little bullet train delivery of our meats, which made it convenient and easy to order on the iPad. Plus the bullet train had cat faces painted :) I love cats! Overall this was the best KBBQ we've had! We loved each and every item we ordered. The staff was always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. They changed our grill like 3 times, which is always nice to have a clean grill for the new meats. Their drinks are very reasonable too; beer $6, soft drinks $3. Can't beat that!! Plus all the food is we had was delicious! We will definitely return if we're ever back in this area.

However for the food itself, the portion size and quality is great for the price. Lunch box is priced a little more than a fast casual restaurant (e.g. chipotle, Panda Express and etc). The portion size is huge. It doesn't look like much in the pictures, but they compressed the items to fit in the tray. I had the spicy pork which wasn't too spicy, but it has a nice umami flavor to it. The japchae was a bit too moist, but otherwise had a nice flavor profile and packed with mushrooms. The seafood pancake was nice and pack with shrimp, vegetables, and other seafood items. It is large and could definitely be enough to be an entree by itself. I'm giving it 5 stars despite some of my critiques on the flavor because the convenience and presentation of their lunch box help outweighs the other issue. Sometimes I don't have time to sit for a Korean BBQ and it is nice to have an option for takeout or delivery where I'm not eating out of Styrofoam. Also the separate compartments helped maintain the flavors of each side dish.
