I had never been here before. My family and I ate here based on a recommendation for a friend who lives very close to this restaurant. They said a lot of people have given this restaurant some pretty good reviews. We went ahead and checked it out. I will say one thing, if your eyes do not adjust very quickly from super bright sunshine and light outside to very dim lighting inside, you will have quite a bit of a difficult time adjusting. I did. I had to be led to my table because my eyes were not adjusting as quickly as I needed them to. The menu has a lot of good offerings and to do they're all you can eat. Option is actually a lot of fun. Not only is it a lot of fun but like I said, they offer a lot of good things and they really I feel like it's something for everyone. My little one enjoyed their meal. They ate a couple of different rolls and had a few other small appetizers. It was more than enough food for all of us. I server was fantastic and made a lot of great suggestions. As the night went on, unfortunately, service did start to slow down a bit. We asked for a few things a number of times and it took a little bit longer each time for them to come. However, they still did. I feel like the price might be a little bit more than what we were used to paying back at home in Southern California, but maybe partly the price is driven up here because this area is not so close to the bay. No matter, it still is pretty good and I definitely would come back here again if I had an opportunity. One other thing that made this meal so wonderful was the company. My husband and I tried Pier 50 for the first time earlier this year and now can't get enough of it. We went during lunch and it was empty. We ordered the all you can eat- yellow option. We enjoyed that we were able to order a variety of food from fresh sashimi/nigiri, rolls and appetizers. The ambiance is super nice, it's kinda dark, has large TVs and good sized tables for eating. Our waitress, Stephanie, was super friendly and attentive during over visit. She was constantly checking in on us to see if we wanted to order more and got us refills when she saw our drinks getting empty, The food comes out very quickly and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. My favorite roll is the red velvet and we enjoy our variety of sashimi and nigiri- especially the salmons. It's also an added bonus that dessert is included with the all you can eat so we enjoyed the affogato and lychee sherbet. I came here with a group of seven for a company lunch. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable. I usually get the ayce, but today, I got the sushi lunch specials which came with 8 pieces of nigiri, 4 California roll pieces, miso soup, and green house salad. The interior decoration of the place is quite nice and comfortable to the eyes. We were greeted and seated within 5 minutes of our arrival. It took a while before our server came to take our drink orders. In fact, it was quite a while that we already had our orders ready for her to take, asides from the drinks we wanted. There was a lot of people dining that day, and the staff were few and far between. The food was great. And from the time we placed our orders, it did not take long for the orders to arrive. It was an all-you-can-eat option that we took, so whenever the staff came by our table, we placed our next order, or have to wait a little longer because of the staff shortage. But in spite of having less, the staff did cope with serving the tables. My commendation to all of them on duty that day! The food is good, and they have some specials that were told to us by the waiter that they haven't offered to us at the Arden location. To cut to the chase and make it short, the only reason I took off a star was the long waits. There was a long wait until drinks arrived, and long waits before sushi arrived. We ordered multiple rounds, and had to wait quite a bit in between them. Normally, I wouldn't mind, as it allows a chance to rest, but it definitely felt more prolonged than normal. My family and I stumbled upon here and I'm honestly so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the sweetest woman at the front who immediately made us feel welcome. She even acknowledged that I had a baby with me and offered to place our stroller behind the desk -- which I really appreciated as a mom! We were seated right away and able to place our order quickly, which was a great start to the night. Service was fast and attentive throughout our meal, and the interior and overall ambiance really felt like a quality AYCE restaurant. It was clean, modern, and comfortable. I also appreciated that they offer both à la carte and all-you-can-eat options, with three different AYCE course levels to choose from. We went with Course B since it included the majority of items we were interested in. At $45 per person, it initially felt a little pricey, but it was absolutely worth it considering the quality of the food and the wide variety available. We ordered so much food that it's honestly too much to list! We probably tried about 90% of the Course B menu, and our appetites were fully satisfied by the end. My husband's favorites were the nigiri selections, while mine were hands down the Korean Fried Chicken and the Chicken Kaarage. The chicken dishes were crispy, flavorful, and so good. I'm also very basic when it comes to ordering sushi and thought the Sweet Egg (Tamago) Nigiri was very tasty compared to other sweet egg nigiri's I've tried. I'd been wanting to try this place for a while since so many people rave about their Arden location, so we decided to stop in on a Saturday around 6 p.m. Surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all. We were greeted right away by Kate, who checked us in, and we waited about ten minutes before being seated. The interior is really cute. Dim lighting, nice decor, and a cozy feel. We ordered the AYCE Course B ($45.95 per person), and while there was plenty to choose from, the food was pretty hit or miss. The sushi rolls weren't great, and the poke nachos were honestly the biggest disappointment...the presentation was rough and the flavor just wasn't there. A few things were decent like the edamame, cheese corn, and sunomono salad. Other dishes, like the kobe fries, albacore and yellowtail sashimi, and fried rice, were just okay. The miso soup had way too much broth compared to the actual ingredients. For dessert, I got the vanilla ice cream and it tasted really off brand, nowhere near real vanilla. Service could've been better overall. We had to ask for refills and flag down Kate for extra orders, and even though she was friendly, the attentiveness just wasn't there especially considering the place wasn't busy. When it came time to pay, they used the handheld machines where you tip with the server standing right there, which always feels a bit awkward. Between the uneven food quality and the price point, this isn't a place I'd come back to. I've had much better AYCE for less. read more

The sashimi is excellent here, but the service is very lackluster. When it comes to AYCE, the service can sometimes be very off putting when you know how to get your money's worth and unfortunately Pier 50, despite being so delicious, was no exception. For food itself, it would be a 10000/10. Beautifully and consistently cut and decorated, fat pieces of fish on the nigiri with sweet and tangy rice, and even negitoro was included!!! The seared salmon belly honestly blew my mind and remained my favorite throughout the meal. Eel was my second favorite, and my third favorite was the yuzu yellowtail sashimi. It's great when AYCE places remain consistently great as you go. However, our server did vanish for 20 minutes. On her way to check on another table outside, she saw that we were trying to get her attention but she passed us. We were ready to order our next round for quite some time, and when we waited, no one came to check on us. So we resorted to raising our hand for almost ten minutes. Servers avoided eye contact with us and sometimes when one of them would look right at us, they would turn their head and walk in the opposite direction. The more this kept happening, the more this made us feel extremely unwelcome, and we had to leave our seat to flag someone down to take our order. With a time limit, this felt as though they were trying to push us out. Maybe it's a company policy. Many things that we needed refills on were never preemptively asked until the very end, right before we paid out. It was disingenuous and frustrating and I wish we had a better experience, because the food did not taste as good anymore after these poor interactions. The restaurant also emptied as we were there, only about 5 total tables inside, but I don't know how many sat outside. The variety and quality of everything is awesome and genuinely incredible, but I wish we didn't have to fight for service from the FOH. It started really strong but went sour so quickly, then slowly began recovering again. If something happened, it would be totally chill to let us know. The service almost bumped the overall rating to a 3/5 but something probably happened? The food was just excellent and deserves more than 5 stars, so 4/5 for Pier 50 and I would recommend it. read more

I may be spelling his name wrong, but he was very kind, funny, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. The ambience was also very nice. They have TVs in the background for people to watch sports and enjoy the atmosphere, and the restaurant itself was very clean. It is a great spot to stop in while shopping or just to enjoy a good meal. Overall, I had a great evening here with family and friends, and I would definitely recommend it. Went to this restaurant twice in the past two weeks. It's a hit. The fish is fresh, they offer picked wasabi for $3 [so worth it], and you can def get your moneys worth here. The hot foods are good, the udon was the only miss as the soup was on the sweet side. The hamachi kama is a must order. Make reservations if you're coming on a weekend, it does get crowded. It's in a nice plaza, but we had trouble finding parking because there are so many other shops around and very limited parking at the front of each store. We ended up making a few circles and decided to park in the garage and walk over. The vibe inside is similar to all other Fukumi restaurants, and this pier 50 feels smaller compared to the one in Arden. The menu and ordering process is exactly the same. Service was good. The food came out slower than expected, despite it not being that busy on a Monday night. Sashimi was fresh and delicious. They offer sashimi as well, which is a plus for sushi AYCE! During the Christmas holidays, they also have some holiday cocktails which were pretty good! We did order a baked sushi and it was extremely fishy and did not taste very good. The major issue we experienced was with the waitress and her condescending attitude. We understand how all you can eat generally works, but the explanations, along with comments about people cheating, were unnecessary. The way she lectured us felt absurd. A relatively new sushi spot at Palladio that's perfect if you want to take a walk around the plaza before grabbing dinner. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu where you pay a fixed price and can order as much as you want within 100 minutes. One thing I really liked is that you can order half portions, so it's easy to try a variety of rolls without committing to a full order. Everything we had was fresh and tasted great. The only downside was that the food took a while to come out, and our family realized we just don't eat enough to make the all-you-can-eat option worth it. Our bill for four people ended up being more than what we usually spend at our regular sushi place. If you have a big appetite and enjoy trying lots of different rolls, this is definitely worth checking out. We ordered some drinks to start, the yuzu blossom and the Tokyo bay, and both were good. I felt like the yuzu could've been more prominent but still enjoyable. For food, I ordered a cucumber salad, vegetable roll, spicy scallop roll, and the Lisa Lisa roll. Everything tasted really good. And the all you can eat deal makes it super worth it. WOW! This place was incredible. We dined in on a Saturday evening, and surprisingly was not busy so we got seated quickly. Our server, Jack, was great and was so helpful and attentive. 10 stars for him! He knew the menu so well and we never felt like service was lacking. We quickly got our waters and he explained the menu to us. All 4 of us got the purple which included the A and B menu. We started off with sashimi and nigiri to try a good variety of fish. The food came out quickly after ordering and everything tasted so fresh! The cuts of sashimi were presented well and the nigiri had a good amount of rice. My personal favorites were the yuzu salmon & yellowtail nigiri and the sashimi cuts of salmon. We had around 4-5 rounds and stuck with ordering mainly sashimi and nigiri. Also ordered some hot menu items like mixed tempura, crispy rice with spicy tuna and bolgogi. These were all tasty and no complaints here. I can't find anything negative to say about the food or service! It was so great for the price of $46 per person - which seems like a lot, but with the amount of fish & quality of the food we got it was definitely worth the price. Waters were filled constantly, ginger restocked all the time and we were checked on all the time. The only thing I would give feedback on was the menu. It was hard to see the "green" color items on the menu (looked yellow in my opinion), but it could be because of the lighting. I think if they were to re-do the menus it would be a good idea to pick very different shades of colors. Also the menus got in the way a lot and there was no where to put them so I would suggest a QR code as an option so that we didn't need to hold onto the menus. This was our first time at this location as our group is doing the sushi passport event, and it did not disappoint! While this spot is a bit smaller than the Arden location, the quality of the sushi was just as fresh and delicious. The only small downside is that the nigiri comes on smaller plates--we personally prefer the larger plates from Arden--but that's just a presentation preference for photos. A huge shoutout to Jack, the supervisor, who truly made our visit memorable. His energy was amazing--super friendly, attentive, and always checking in on us without us needing to ask.
