Was at lunch im the area and decided to look up Boba spots near, and came across 8Teas Bubble. Located off of Mather Field Road and around the corner (not literally but close enough) to the Mather VA Hospital. Sits this small Boba spot in a small off road location. I stopped in to get a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Boba, and saw 8Teas served a variety of drinks and also served assorted Macarons. They also have an assortment of fruit slush drinks with the flavor popping Boba and jellies. Drink was great, and just over $8. Not sure if that the going price at other Boba spots I've gone to but it's probably around there...I'll have to check in the future, lol. But would definitely come back if in the area and looking for a good Boba drink! read more

This place was super good. The reason I'm giving them four stars is because of location. There is no street signage. I literally drove right past it and went to a barbecue joint in the same shopping center. I still couldn't find it and went to another smoothie place, in the same complex as then. I was really craving Boba otherwise I would've just settled and got a smoothie. Luckily, the staff there pointed out where 8Teas was for me. Again, no complaints on the service or the drink. Stopped by to satisfy a quick boba craving, and even though it was a little out of the way in Rancho Cordova, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. It's a very unsuspecting storefront on the side of the main road; some seating but mainly a to-go kind of spot. A little pricy but to be expected with boba usually. It was almost 20$ after tip for 2 drinks (one being a smaller refresher). I ordered a mango fruit tea with boba and lychee jelly, 50% ice and 50% sweetness, and the worker made it perfectly. The boba was fresh and it really hit the spot. I also loved that they have a kiosk/tablet to order from. Not only is it great for introverts (me on occasion), but it's also fun to explore the menu and poke around that way. I also tried the passionfruit refresher with boba and mango stars (75% sweetness, 50% ice) and it was delicious. I always make a point to visit this boba shop whenever I'm in the area. Definitely the best boba shop in Rancho Cordova. On this visit I had the House Milktea with 75% sweetness with Brown Sugar Boba, and it was super yummy. Service was fast as my drink was made very quickly. The drink had the perfect amount of ice and a generous serving of boba. Their boba is consistently perfectly chewy and not overcooked or too soft like other places. The tea flavor was prominent, and the 75% sweetness level was just right, making it not too sweet at all. Place is small and clean. Only one person working but she did great. There was a couple drink orders ahead of us but the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered a "velvet" (taro+thai tea) with boba and a strawberry milk with strawberry boba. Also ordered a fruity pebbles macaron and a strawberry cheesecake macaron. First of all, the drinks were delicious. Cold and creamy and not 90% ice which was a huge plus. I felt like we got more drink than ice and I highly appreciate that. The strawberry milk drink tasted like it was mixed with real strawberry pieces. The velvet drink was the perfect blend of taro and Thai tea. All in all, both had great flavor. My only complaint, the size of the drink- it's pretty small. But it's also about normal for these kinds of drinks so it's to be expected. My daughter liked the macaron cookies (they are a favorite of hers). I've never been a fan of those kinds of cookies but I tried them and they were tasty. Not many great boba spots in Rancho, but when I'm craving milk tea, this is where I go. The Thai tea is good, that's why I'm giving 3 stars, but the customer service needs work. They never answer the phone, which makes it hard to place quick orders. I tried setting up a catering order in June and was told to call a few days before, but again, no one picked up. I even went in person days before my event, and they were closed with a notice on the door for JuneTeenth. Came back the next day at opening, and they still didn't open, sign was still up from the day before. It's frustrating to be told to call when no one ever answers and there's no communication about closures. Definitely room for improvement. read more

Over the years living in the Sacramento area and visiting the Bay Area on a frequent basis, I've grown quite accustomed to the bubble tea/boba drinks. Much to my surprise, I stumbled across "8Teas Bubble" in the Rancho Cordova area. Located directly on Mather Field Rd and tucked in between International Dr. and Peter A McCuen Blvd, this place has been dishing out delicious drinks, smoothies, and other various beverages since mid-2022. I came here on a whim as I was craving an iced cold boba and low and behold, I stumbled across this place. Parking is not difficult to find as this is in a much quieter area of Rancho Cordova. The exterior of the building isn't anything fancy expect for the name of the business with a cartoon of a green matcha boba drink. The inside is also very tiny but still has about 4-5 chairs in case you wish to enjoy your beverage indoors. The fake grass along the wall with several frames with quotes/phrases along the burnt-orange wall only adds to some of the charm this place offers. As is the case in many other boba tea places I've been to, this place offers a huge selection of milk tea, fruit tea, fresh milks, slushies, herbal tea, refreshers, and much more. And for those that wish to partake in sweet baked goods, they offer a nice variety of macaroons. During my visit which was the afternoon of Saturday 11/9/2024 at around 1:30pm, I ended up ordering a "Brown Sugar" milk tea (at 50% sweetness) minus the boba/tapioca pearls. Since there were other customers, this took roughly 10 minutes. My drink was handed to me and tasted amazingly refreshing. Not too sweet and a perfect consistency. As an added bonus, one of the employees also gave me a complimentary "crème brûlée Macaroon". This was the perfect addition to my drink and although I had just eaten lunch 30 minutes prior to coming here, I could not resist how delicious this was. All in all, "8Teas Bubble" is a great above average small business that I highly recommend. The drinks were not very memorable but not bad. I usually get 50-75% sweet at most places but thought 100% was more mild than those percentages for my mango fruit tea. My partner's kumquat fruit tea had a good flavor despite being 0% sugar - the syrup probably has more sugar content I suppose. They were giving out a free macaron with each drink purchase when we went, and I would definitely come again for the macarons. So good! There was not only buttercream filling but jam too. I LOVE Bobba Fruit Tea. Most places do not offer much of a flavor selection for Boba without milk. So, finding a place that has a variety of fruit teas is wonderful! Kumquat & Lemon is my favorite. It's all I will order when I can find it. Their's is delicious! This establishment is a small store front that sells tea only. They have 2 tables if you'd like to drink your beverage there. However, the service is fast and great if you want to get something cool and refreshing while you're on the run. They have ample parking also. Lots of small businesses are struggling right now. It's hard to see the workers since they're behind a tall work station so I wasn't greeted until I was at the cashier placing an order. At least once a week I will tell him to go to 8Teas Bubble because I need a pick me up before a game. I absolutely love the options here, how small it is and how nice the employees are. I have had special teas, milk tea and baked macarons here. I cannot wait to try milkshakes, slushies, and herbal tea. My go to drinks consist of Velvet and Hulk. Lately, I have been adding coffee jelly to my drinks which I recommend adding other toppings such as popping boba, jelly and one day I would love to add strawberry hearts to my drinks, they just sound so fun! I was in the area of Rancho Cordova and was craving some boba so I decided to find the closest spot to where I was at and this place popped up and decided to give it a try. It is a very small establishment. There isn't any indoor or outdoor seating. It's a grab and go type of place. It's kept nice and clean though. I decided on the oolong milk tea with no adjustments. 100% sweetness wasn't sweet in my opinion so if I come here again, I would definitely do 150% sweetness since that's the next level. Went to a friend's holiday party in Rancho and afterwards wanted to get some boba. I was pretty skeptical of trying out 8Teas, but decided to give it a shot since of all the good reviews. We ordered the Oolong Milk Tea and Thai Tea in the small. Both with boba and 50% sugar. I had pretty low expectations coming in and after tasting the drinks I was right. My drink tasted like milk. The Thai Tea was very subtle and you could only taste it as an aftertaste. The small is also very small and the cups are made from a cheaper plastic which made it pretty difficult to drink because the cup wouldn't hold its shape when sipping. The staff was extremely friendly and was upfront when I asked if they used syrup for the fruit teas instead of real fruit and juice. Overall, I wouldn't come again even if I was in the area. I just can't justify paying for milk tea that tastes like milk. read more

I saw that 8Teas opened a while ago in Rancho Cordova but we were never in the area, and when I thought of going, they weren't open. They're still testing out hours which makes sense since they just opened and their location is a bit out there, but they're pretty good about updating Yelp and Instagram with the most up-to-date hours. The shop is very small but there are tables if you wanted to sit and enjoy your drinks there. They do have a variety of types of drinks, but not an extensive variety of flavors for each type. We decided to go with the specials so we could try something more unique. I chose the strawberry matcha and my husband had the velvet milk tea which was taro + Thai tea. Unfortunately they didn't have any boba, she said that it wasn't ready.. but we came over an hour after they already opened. I don't always order boba topping but today I felt like it, so I was bummed I couldn't try theirs. The highlight of my strawberry matcha was definitely the strawberry. It added a nice sweetness. But I could tell right when I got my drink that the matcha flavor was not going to be strong, because of how light in color it was. It was definitely more on the milky side. However I'm still giving four stars because my husband's velvet milk tea was really good. 8Teas Bubble is a small tea shop, which first opened its doors in 2020 with the ambitious goal to recreate the joy of "love at first sip". They offer a very wide variety of drinks including milk teas, fruit teas, herbal teas, fresh milk, and slushies - just to name a few (seriously check out their menu if you don't believe me). They have an array of macarons for those of you interested in picking up a sweet treat with your drink. We happened upon 8Teas after we had finished a late dinner on Saturday night and wanted to round out the meal with some bubble tea. We were in luck as 8Teas was open until 10pm, so we decided to go and give them a try. 8Teas is a fairly small storefront; however, they do offer parking right in front of their shop, which makes it a breeze to get to. Upon entering the store you'll definitely notice it's a little on the cramped side as there's only a couple chairs on one side and two small tables (each can sit about 2-3 persons) on the other. This is definitely one of those grab-and-go tea shops, as opposed to the type in which after getting your drink you'd grab a seat and sit down to chat with whoever you've brought along with you. Ordering is primarily done via the self-serve kiosk on which you'll have the opportunity to customize your drink to your liking from ice level, to sweetness, to toppings (which interestingly enough they refer to as "sinkers" here). I ordered their litchi fruit tea with jasmine green tea based along with litchi jelly, while my friend ordered their classic milk tea. Given that it's a fairly small operation, I will note that it did take quite a while for us to receive our drinks. We were informed later that the reason was due to them running out of their classic milk tea so they had to brew a new batch, which is completely understandable; however, it would have helped had they informed us of this in advance so we could temper our expectations accordingly and wouldn't be confused as to why we were waiting about 15 minutes for our drinks to be prepared. Fortunately, with the first sip of my drink, I found that the cup of tea was well worth the wait and enjoyed it immensely. My litchi green tea was not overwhelming sweet (even at 100% sweetness, at least to me) and had a prominent tea flavor that was not masked by the litchi in the drink. Driving from Folsom back to EG I decided to make a pit stop knowing that there's a new boba spot in Rancho Cordova. It's in a small lot right off of Mather Field Rd (have to make an unprotected left turn if you're coming from the west). I got an oolong milk tea w/ boba for myself and an earl grey milk tea w/ boba for my sister. The menu doesn't indicate sweetness levels but sweetness can actually be adjusted here upon request (got both drinks at 50% sweetness). The oolong milk tea was alright overall. Good oolong tea flavor, but the sweetness level tasted more like at 15% lol. The tea taste was also very diluted (should've been stronger with the reduced sugar). I tried my sister's earl grey milk tea and hers had the same issue. On the bright side, the boba pearls were nicely chewy and actually had some brown sugar sweetness to them (more often than not I find boba pearls at boba shops to be too bland). Normally I'd give 4 stars for the sweetness adjustment issue (everything else was pretty on point), but this place is still in its soft opening phase and the fact that sweetness levels aren't even mentioned on the menu might suggest that the staff isn't fully prepared to make such accommodations quite yet. read more

They also have the Hulk (matcha + thai), which reminds me of 7 Leaves secret. The velvet tea was pretty good! Stronger Thai flavor with a hint of taro, and sweet. If I could, I would prefer 25% sweet. I tried the Oolong milk tea, which was okay. Although it was 100% sweet, it tasted like 25% sweet. I also tried the Oolong loose tea, 100% sweet but it tasted like 50% sweet. Surprisingly, my drink was the sweetest! I ordered a ceylon milk tea with boba and it was probably one of the worst I've had. There was absolutely no tea flavor and quickly became warm as the ice melted. On top of it, the boba itself was horrible. It had no taste and wasn't the right texture. It is very rare for me to trash a drink but this drink quickly ended up in the garbage. I was excited to see a new tea/boba spot open in the area, especially because there are no good spots in the Rancho area. I saw all the good reviews and had to check it out. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed with my drinks. +the house milk tea: (which is a blend of assam & oolong) tasted quite watery and I wasn't able to discern much of a tea flavor. I even got it 30% ice and it was still watery. I'm a huge tea fanatic, so this drink wasn't my favorite. I did enjoy that it wasn't overly sweet! +peach fruit tea: way too sweet, even at 30% sugar. i recommend adjusting!!! i went home and had to add my own green tea to it to counteract it. the drink did not have a strong peach flavor and it tasted very syrupy. i saw a comment that they use jams for some of their fruit drinks, so maybe that's what it was. i did appreciate that they added fruit bits into the drink which made it very enjoyable! overall, the prices are a little high (~$6/drink) relative to the smaller size of the cup. overall, i'd give it a 2/5 stars for the drinks but +1 for the potential and small business hospitality (i saw the owner replying and clarifying points of concern on other reviews, which was lovely to see)! i don't see myself going out of my way for this spot, but would definitely be ok to drink it again if convenient once they work out some of their kinks. read more
