Food was fantastic as usual! It's been a while since we have stopped in here for one our favorite dishes: Veggie Noodle. And ordered a spicy edamame appetizer. The spicy edamame was really good too, cooked right and had a nice spicy flavor to them with lots of garlic! We used to be asked if we wanted the veggie noodle spicy or not, when I asked waitress she said it's not spicy. So I was confused because we have always been asked about our preference. I literally crave the spicy version we've always had before. Luckily I had the spiciness from the edamame dish and used some of that on it. They were very busy which is why I didn't reduce my review by a star because they had forgot to refill our water and bring napkins after I had asked for them. read more

Good service and good food. Caution for first-timers - the "most popular" rolls tend to be a little sweet. The sauces are good but if you aren't used to a hint of sweetness adjust your taste buds. The Lucky 7 and Ichiban are yummy. The Ichiban is sweeter than I'd prefer but it was still my favorite. The Lucky 7 was hubby's gave. We both could've passed on the Queen Bee . The lemon on top of the Queen Bee caught us off guard but if you like a lot of lemon on sushi you'll like it. The single chile signal for "spiciness" should probably be 1/2 of a chile. These rolls were not what we would consider spicy (we can take a lot of Creole heat) . Came to Aloha Sushi around lunch time on Friday and this place was packed. We were immediately greeted and sat by our waitress. The rolls are huge and very affordable. The rolls tasted amazing and the fish were very good quality. We got three rolls: Lucky 7, Judy's, and Jeff's Special. My personal favorite was the Lucky 7. My partner and I wanted to get some food before our movie today and decided to get some sushi. Due to the raving reviews, we chose Aloha Sushi. Upon arrival, there were roughly 4 other groups here. We asked for a table and were seated in the far corner of the restaurant by the restrooms (there were ample tables available elsewhere). Someone came to take our drink order shortly after. The staff were talking amongst themselves in the back and helping customers who seemed like their regulars. Meanwhile, no one batted an eye to check on the table in the back of the restaurant. Two groups who arrived after us were getting their orders taken. While we were trying to get the attention of a staff member to get our order taken. No one seemed to glance our way. We had genuine concern that we were being deliberately ignored until what felt like many minutes passed and a woman asked if we had our orders taken yet. The food was delicious, I cannot lie. The ambiance is chill & not too noisy. They gave some TVs that can be viewed from the tables. Now for the food: 10/10 for the rolls! While the food was delicious and the portion size was amazing; unfortunately the service did not match to the hype. Me and my friend were practically ignored by our server each time we tried to flag him down. When we tried to engage in conversation he would look away or ignore the statement. It took us 15-20 minutes after meal was completed to get out bill. I made eye contact with the server multiple times and he kept ignoring our table. I haven't been here in years but it's still as amazing as I remember. The inside has been updated and way more spacious than before as well. We arrived around 3PM for a late lunch and were seated and asked for drinks right away. Once we got our orders in, it didn't take long and everything tasted great. We have a few sushi rolls and one ramen bowl for my family. The rolls were filled really well and the fish was very fresh. The only slight was my mom complained her baked roll's rice was a bit too soft, but overall it was fine. Thinly sliced, with thinly sliced jalapeño. Each bite was delicious. I crave their pepperfin. I ordered the chicken shoyu grilled chicken thigh. The broth was hearty and flavorful. The chicken was plentiful, and the added veggies made for a perfect ramen bowl. The spinach, mushrooms, seaweed, green onion, and that egg was killer! They are reasonably priced, and they don't charge for using a credit card. Larger parties should make a reservation, and it's pretty easy to walk in and be seated. We've been here a few times and they have been consistently quality with the various items we've tried. They can get super busy during typical meal rush hours and I'm not pleasant when hangry so those like me, plan accordingly. We arrived around 5pm on a week night (also to prevent me from being a crabby patty, we eat early dinners) and were the only table there. Inside, I like the simplicity of Japanese decor without being cheesy. I enjoy having a bit of everything when it comes to Japanese food without breaking the bank. We got sake sashimi, 2 rolls, tonkatsu rice bowl, and appetizer and the bill was only $65! The last Japanese spot we went to in Folsom we got 3 items for $80.
