Ladies and Gentlemen: First off, I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Wade and his staff for everything they have done for me, pertaining to my oral health. August 2022- After waiting for months for the VA to approve my outside care, it was finally approved with the help of Noella/front desk staff. This was my last month in San Diego and Dr. Wade did not have much time to complete 1 root canal, 3 crowns including the removal of silver/mercury filings from military service, and a few filings. Dr. Wade completed most of the work(root canal, 2 permanent crowns, a temp. crown, and some of the filings within 3 weeks. NO INFECTIONS, normal pain from the dental work but nothing alarming. September 2022: PDG sent a delightful email saying, "Happy Birthday". January 2023: I returned to Parkway Dental group, to retrieve my last permanent crown and the rest of the filings. I received the same pleasing results, NO INFECTION and less pain at this time. Dr. Wade Ahwal expertise is unquestionable and one the best dentist I've been to, with no discrimination. This is absolutely, hands-down The place to go if you're looking for a new dentist! Dr. Ahwal and his team are so extremely kind and patient, and my results are beyond what could've been expected. I've got extreme dentophobia, have since I was a child, so it took pain to get me to the dentist...not anymore! I went in expecting to need a full set of dentures, my teeth had gotten so bad. The level of integrity Dr. Ahwal has is not something you'd expect from someone running a business, rather the type of integrity you'd expect from a friend. He could've very easily pulled all my teeth and given me dentures. Did I actually just say to my dentist that I look forward to seeing him??!! I literally just hung up the phone with him. He gave me a call to do a follow up on my recent visit. Did you catch that I said "him"? Dr Ahwal himself called me! I expected the hygienist, office manager or someone else in the office to call me. But for him to take the time to pick up the phone...that's unheard of. Such great service! But my true praise isn't just about his customer service. It's about his quality of work. Thus far, he's been amazing. From the way he explains and also makes you feel safe and comfortable. It's one that I don't ever really recall experiencing ever before with a dentist. His staff also is quite great. From Noella's service at the front desk to Lori his dental hygienist who was very professional and also comforting during my procedure. Both of them working on my teeth, they were so in sync. I left the office thinking I'd have a swollen cheek and would be in dire pain. But, nothing..I mean nothing like that happened. There was no pain or discomfort immediately or creeping up thereafter. It has now been two days since and I'm only taking the antibiotics. There hasn't been a need for the pain meds. This office is great! Prior to Dr. Ahwal I have been going to another dentist in La Mesa for over 12 years, until he retired. I was skeptical about finding a new office but found this one through my insurance. Little did I know I would fall in love! His office is so clean, the hygienists are extremely friendly and the staff overall are fantastic. They are kind, patient and positive. Not only did I get a cleaning done but I even chose to get my four impacted wisdom teeth removed here. Although the experience was slightly overwhelming due to not being able to be put asleep- dr awhal was very reassuring during the entire procedure. He made what could have been a terrible experience so positive. His staff are extremely informed and walked me through everything I even called to ask more questions and they were happy to assist. I recently recommended this office to my dad and brothers who are looking for a dentist as well. Hello, I had an amazing and thorough cleaning yesterday by Hygienist Hedi. In all the year's I've had a cleaning, I was never tested for oral cancer. Terrible experience. Walked in with no pain and a small concern on my gums which turns out is nothing thanks to asking my normal dr, yet left with pain that I still had two weeks later from dr wade hitting my teeth way too hard with the back of a metal mirror instrument. I thought he might have broken the seal on my cap he hit my teeth so hard. Also, the place doesn't feel clean. I don't feel sure that the instruments used on me were clean. I believe coming here resulted in a serious bacterial infection in my mouth. Such a stressful experience. Do not recommend. read more

I go to school full-time, and have a full-time job AND part-time job. With that being said, I have to appreciate this place for how convenient and comforting it is. Noella at the front desk always picks an appointment date and time that works perfectly with my hectic schedule.
