    Big Al's breakfast
    Mark A.

I've eaten here twice this year while visiting family and wish we didn't live 4.5 hours away. The food has been great, and the value for the portion size is somehow even better than the food. There's not many places left where you can get more food than you're able to eat for less than $12 (Big Al's breakfast combo). The service has been fast and friendly each time too.

Great food at a reasonable price. I had a breakfast sandwich on a bagel that was served with home fries. It was really good. The egg was fried hard so if you want it softer, make sure you tell them. I ordered a cream cheese donut which reminded me of a funnel cake. It was a bit too greasy for me but it was tasty. It's a small place in a cute area with some outdoor seating. The servers were friendly and efficient and kept things moving. We will be back!

Western omelette and home fries. W/hot sauce on the omelette. I had eaten half of the plate before I took the picture.

First time visiting Wade's. Got seated immediately and had coffee on the table w/in a minute of walking through the door. The western omelette was tremendous. Perfect size. Perfectly cooked veggies. Lots of cheese. The home fries were seasoned and cooked to a nice crispness. The make homemade donuts. Didn't try them today but it is a good reason to head back. Plenty of parking in the lot across the street.

Fast service on a busy Sunday, cute vibe with an eclectic old school diner feel. The food was so good and definitely gotta get the donuts 3 for $6.95.

Small town neighborhood breakfast/ lunch spot. Convenient parking lot across the street from restaurant. Prices, and portions, are a major selling point. Service was exceptionally friendly, and deserves a solid 5 stars. Dining area has a limited amount of tables, and counter seating. Menu is double-sided and lists breakfast items on one side and lunch on the other. Operating hours are limited. Definitely a nice discovery off of the beaten path for breakfast. A return visit is planned to try out the lunch menu.

Quality is mediocre. Can be very loud at times. Need to get more variety in the menu.

It is great to have a place that serves upscale food but isn't stuffy and pretentious. Service is always friendly and efficient. I love that they have a rotating seasonal menu. It is on the higher end price wise, but you get what you pay for. And that means nice portions, quality ingredients and excellent taste. Got a Pinot noir wine and waters Starter=soup of the day: tomato w/ chickpea and chorizo- bold tomato flavor and lots of arugula in it. Not so much chorio but flavor was very good, not overly salty. 10/10 After the soup we put our nit-picking goggles on as we knew this was a pretty sophisticated meal. Daily special- pan seared mahi mahi with asparagus fennel kohlabi and arugula salad citrus buerre Blanc. Light citrus flavor is found thru the mahi mahi, its sauce and the salad. Very congruent. Asparagus was a neutral addition. Not flowing with or against the mahi. Fish was cooked well. Just lots of raw red onion on the salad was a little overpowering. 7/10 Red wine braised short rib- didn't ask how well done, so seems chefs choice. We have a preference towards med rare. This was cooked well done making it a tad tough-stringy. Mashed potatoes with some larger pieces of potato, but very neutral plain flavor, great with the beef sauce. Carrots cooked well, just neutral, natural flavor. Overall a very classic flavor combo that works.7/10. Would stop by again to try more dishes. Ps- when paying we noticed final bill to sign was more than first bill at table. When we asked why the difference we were told it's the credit card fee of $3. This was really the first time I've seen this at a restaurant, yet alone at a decent place like one. Would have been best for them to tell us this upfront.

Tasty wings and great hot dogs equals my kind of restaurant!…read more They have a variety of wing flavors and truly get them right. They are decently sized (seriously, why are so many wings in Pittsburgh so tiny?!) and they cook them to the perfect level of crispy. They also have both blue cheese and celery (which can be surprisingly hard to find in Pittsburgh). They have a monthly hot dog flavor and they are always creative. I think my favorite may have been their buffalo chicken dip hot dog. They also have a set menu of some traditional combos (like a Chicago dog) but have some creative options like the pineapple one. The layout is interesting with some tables in the bar area (plus bar seating, some patio seating and a back room with additional tables. It can get busy, so there is often a wait. Service is always spot on and they are great at answering questions and helping make selections. Great place to watch a game or just grab a bite and is family friendly.

This was a disappointing restaurant experience. We really enjoy The Kitchen on Main in Ligonier…read more Hard to believe these two restaurants are related. Clearly the manager in Murrysville has no fine dining experience. Every table pays the same price and should have the same experience. The unfortunate ones, like us, who were seated at the rear of the restaurant might as well have been eating in a storage closet. The coffee was good. The crabby benedict was very good. The potatoes were loaded with salty seasoning, too much. The service was average. Suggest the manager clean all the crap off the counter so patrons can sit there and enjoy a meal watching the chefs in action, just like they do in Ligonier. If the chefs don't want eyes on them then clean the counter anyway and remove the chairs so you aren't pretending to be like Ligonier. Suggest you remove the tables in the back or build barriers so your patrons aren't sitting in a kitchen hallway. Also, tried to make a reservation but the online system did not work and the phone was busy. Also, we chose not to drink the water because it was served in dirty glasses that had been left on the table after the last customers left, lip down on the table surface. Might as well have sucked on the rag.
