I've been coming here for years and will always make a stop when I'm in the city. Came to this location recently and loved how close it was to Bryant park. The overall ambiance was nice however busy due to the location but I loved it! The ease of ordering was great- everything was ordered through screens and I was able to customize my waffle perfectly. I chose a waffle with spekuloos spread, strawberries, chocolate fudge and whipped cream- the perfect combination in my opinion. I also ordered a chai latte which was great! The service was quick and the staff were all very nice considering the long lines of customers. There were also tables and chairs nearby to eat, hang out and take in the views. I would come back again!

I had one at work one time a while back and never forgot it! So I had to stop by on my way out of the city. It didn't disappoint! I just did a simple wafel with speculoos spread. Perfect for a sweet morning snack! I must say it is sugar overload but the texture and crunch of the wafel are so unique! Can't wait till I can grab another one next time I'm in Bryant Park!

I do like this place, but $15+ for a WMD waffle I could easily make at home feels steep. Yes, it's good, but not that good. Overall, it's a nice little indulgence if you're already at Rockefeller Center, so why not. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here specifically. I

I consider myself a waffle connoisseur and this is one of the absolute best waffles that I've ever had. The maple flavor was sooo yummy! Their ordering process is super easy and more efficient than most other places we saw. You place your order at the kiosk, take a beeper and then go to grab your food when it's ready. This eliminated a long line!

We saw this cool looking food truck and decided we felt like waffles and ice cream. There was no line so we were able to order from there kiosk pretty simple and quick which was nice , the truck was parked in a nice spot in between some stores so we were able to eat at the tables they had set up. The waffle itself had bananas strawberries, ice cream chocolate drizzle , It was a little messy but it was good you definitely want to grab a knife and fork to eat this .

    Advertised $5.90 price

Horrible experience, the business should be ashamed of itself. Barista blatantly tried to scam me when I ordered an iced chai latte, which was advertised as $5.90 on the menu. He proceeds to ring us up for $8.90. I asked him why it didn't match the menu. He mumbled and claimed that the charge was from the ice. That does not even logically make sense that ice would add $3 to the drink. I asked to just purchase the $5.90 hot chai latte since I really wanted a drink still. He proceeded to talk to his coworker about us while making the drink. I checked the kiosk and it would only cost $6.90 for the iced chai, not anywhere near $8.90. Very disappointed.

I ordered a S'mores Wafel(Spekuloos cookie spread, marshmallows, Belgian chocolate fudge). It was very very good the wafel and toppings were amazing. Since they only have outdoor seating I had to eat it in cold nyc weather but it was worth it. The place was great for people watching as well

Literal perfection! I've been coming here every New York trip since I was a kid, it's an absolute must have!! Whether you're getting a waffle, hot chocolate or anything else from the menu, it's going to be delicious! The employees are the nicest people and you get to sit outside at Bryant Park while you eat it :)

Late night munchies! Always a great stop for when you get tired walking the streets of New York. We found ourselves taking a quick break here after doing 15k steps. It is a couple blocks away from Times Square. The waffles here are Belgian style - yeasted batter with pearl sugar, the type of waffle I like the most. They have lots of toppings to choose from but we like it simple, just the waffles and nothing else. It was soft yet with a bit of chew and the right amount of sweetness. Not sure what time they close, Yelp says 10pm but it was almost midnight when we went and it did not look they were about to close shop.

Wafles and Dinges has never disappointed me! Each time I go to New York I have to get it and they never make any mistakes! I keep it simple with a waffle, a scoop of ice cream and chocolate drizzle because no need to overcomplicate greatness. I wish the prices were lower, but it hasn't stopped me yet. The location is in Bryant Park so there is the hustle and bustle of the city right in front of you but no issues. The staff was great!

The strawberry shortcake wafel is so good! Creamy, crispy, berryful, yum. I believe I've gotten the WMD before, which I love as well. Service can be better, staff can be friendlier & more helpful.

Through the years the fries and sauces have shifted slightly, but overall it's the exact same iconic experience it's always been. When you're down for pure salty‑crispy fry bliss with a ridiculous lineup of sauces, this is the spot. Whether it's a pre‑funk stop, a post‑drinks craving, or just a "treat yourself" moment, Pomme Frites stays tried‑and‑true. The fries come out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked every time. The sauces are still the star -- you can't go wrong with any of them. It's one of the few places that's stayed consistent in a city that changes every five minutes. Still my favorite fry spot in NYC... and honestly the only place that even comes close is Reykjavik fries in Iceland. Forever a classic. Forever worth the stop.

Even tepid fries is asking for too much nowadays at many places. Countless dipping sauces to choose from too! It's a must go to for fries lovers. The fries are more like french cut fries (though I'm more of a shoe string kinda gal). These are actual fries too.. as in like 4 inches and none of this 1 inch crumbs a lot of places try to pull off There is a place in near where I live that is also a fry shoppe (nowhere nearly as good as Pomme Frites) that has options for different cuts of fries (but not all types are freshly cut). It would be cool to see an option for this that is all fresh cut, though it may not be feasible.

We appreciated the fans set up to keep the air circulating. Service was very attentive while we were there. Everyone with whom we interacted was gracious, friendly and attentive. Really, no complaints about service. The food? We had some hits and some misses. The mussels were a hit and the portion was generous. The fries were great but some crusty French bread would have been a good addition, to help soak up the flavorful broth. The Merguez sandwich was a miss. Despite the menu stating that it was served on a baguette (and picture on Yelp of other diners receiving the sandwich on a baguette), ours was served on ciabatta. Really, not the same thing. We did not say anything at the time but we would not have ordered it had we known. Total disappointment. Also, the person on our party that ordered this sandwich found the fries way too salty. Luckily, the attentive staff kept the water refills flowing. I doubt we would return to this restaurant in the future the next time we're in the area, despite the friendly and attentive service.

Wow, how have I not reviewed one of my favorite go-to spots in NYC yet!!??…read more I have been going to BXL Cafe since the mid-2000's and make a point of hitting it every single visit to the city. The first time, we stumbled into it during a snowstorm, seeking shelter after visiting Time Square with a group of friends, one of whom was in the city with us for his very last trip on this earth. He was very sadly dying of cancer and dreamed of being able to go to NYC one last time. May he be resting in peace. On my last night in the city, I suggested to clients of mine that we hit BXL Cafe and they were all willing and ready. Like every other visit, the service, drinks and food were all fantastic so I'm surprised by some of the 3-star reviews because this place is fantastic. This was a Thursday night and the place was absolutely mobbed. It was a bit of a squeeze getting to the table I reserved in the back where I joined my clients/friends of many years. Our server was awesome, very attentive, friendly, and put up with us trying to hook up our one single buddy at the table that night. She suggested we start with the croquettes and even though I had been raving about the mussels, some in our party ordered other things. No clue why! The mussels are always amazing. My clients/friends did enjoy what they ordered. The croquettes were very tasty; I believe my favorite was the ham croquettes. I didn't quite care for the shrimp croquettes, I mean, if I had to pick in the future. My go-to has always been the Thailandaise Mussels with coconut milk, lemon grass and curry. This has always been so awesome, I never stray from it. Sooooo good and a massive portion in a big 'ol black pot served with crusty bread and a big portion of fries. I guess my only complaint would be that while the fries are good and crispy, they aren't the traditional double fried in duck fat fries of true Belgian Moules Frites eateries. My favorite in this true Belgian way is the fries served at Wurstkuche in L.A. (of all places). These fries are absolutely heavenly and I'd suggest BXL (and The Back Abbey in Claremont, CA) set up a conference call with Wurstkuche so they can perfect theirs. Still, BXL Cafe is an absolutely wonderful stop and well, the beer on tap and by the bottle is always fantastic and fresh. Long live BXL Cafe! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Buvette is a charming but tiny/cramped space, made more tiny within the last year by NYC's removal of pandemic-era street patios which greatly helped dining capacity. There's a kitchen in the back, but some food is also prepared below the bar in front, where there seem to be some ovens. The food seems reliably consistent here. The menu is short but there are daily specials. I ordered a non-alcoholic ginger soda, crab tartine (a special), lobster a l'Americaine (lobster pot pie) and frites. The soda is always on the menu and is refreshing, with a nice snap of ginger. The crab tartine was fab, a fresh crab salad with avocado atop toast. The lobster pot pie was made in the under-bar oven, a small serving of lobster and veggies with a golden puff pastry topper. Delish. The frites were nicely crisp, served with an aioli. Service was okay, but my hot food took about 45 minutes to come out, apparently because my ticket was lost. Overall a pleasant meal, my first during this visit.
