Amelie is a cute French spot in the west village. We went for brunch and ordered mussels, and a steak frites. The food was good, not life changing, but I enjoyed my mussels. The service was quick and they have lots of deals running for happy hour. I ordered a cocktail, but I think the wine my friend ordered was better. Wine is their strong suit and they have flights on their brunch menu. Overall, it was a cute spot.

This is one of my favorite places to casually drop in because of the atmosphere. It is very lively and the real candle lights create a great vibe at night. I've been to the upper west side location and I'd suggest that one for more of an intimate and romantic ambiance. I'd always suggest making a reservation since they do get pretty busy, but they've always had some availability when I've come here in a party under 4 people. The food here is really good and they have a great daily happy hour. Some of my favorite things here are the wine flights, mussels, escargot and burger. The wine flights are a great way to try multiple different wines. The white wine sauce for the mussels and the garlic/parsley butter and puff pastry on the escargot are also very good. I do love that many of the dishes like the mussels, goat cheese, and chicken liver mouse come with a good amount of bread. Their chicken liver mouse is very smooth and a generous helping. It comes with additional things on the side that really complete the dish. The burger is cooked exactly the way you like it and the fries are perfect and crisp. The Russian hill cocktail was surprisingly really sweet. The service is usually very attentive. They do get really busy and can vary depending on where you sit. But the food and drinks always come in a timely manner. I've been to their upper west side location and also had a really good experience there. I'd suggest that one for a more intimate and romantic experience.

I loved it here so much the first time, I had to bring another friend. We sat outside and ordered: - happy hour burger + glass of wine ($21): this was a really solid burger. Fries were thin and so easy to snack on. - happy hour flight of wine: I forgot which ones I got but they were great! Service was great! Everyone was attentive without hovering. I'll definitely keep taking my friends here.

I LOVED my experience here. The waiters were kind and thoughtful, the wine was delicious, and the food was amazing and well coursed out. We had the burger, steak frites, and chicken liver mousse. It's always a win when you're delivered a bag of bread. The lighting is dim, but perfect for a cozy night in. Highly recommend!

We stumbled upon this charming bistro after watching a show nearby. I was in the mood for some food while my dining party wanted some drinks and snacks, and this turned out to be the perfect spot for us. The duck breast was to die for; it was tender and flavorful, and the sweet summer corn was a nice touch. The chicken liver mousse was smooth and tasty, even for someone that isn't a big fan of chicken liver. The evening concluded with getting to know the owner, Olivier, and us walking away with one of the best French meals we had in the city!

Really liked the ambiance. The burger was so so good. The crust was perfect and the burger was a perfect medium rare. Service was good and I liked the wine. Would definitely recommend

Dimly lit restaurant with a good vibe for drinking and catching up with friends or a date. I was looking forward to charcuterie and wine since this came up as a place that had both. Looking around, most customers just had a glass of wine and no food. i dont like wine much but my partner does and said it was just ok. Peaches get Stitches - on the strong side. it was also just ok. 2.5/5 Tete de moine - You definitely need to take this in the small slices which is kinda fun to peel off the flowerlike shape. took a big chunk at first and it was really bad. after doing the petals, it's kinda nutty and strong but goes well with the bread and meat. I prob wouldnt get it again but was not bad. 2/5 Jamon Serano - on the dry and harder side. not that good. 2/5 Chorizo 100% Iberico - much softer and slight spice. not bad. 2.5/5

Dessert: Strawberry flambe' with pistachio ice cream. You didn't really taste the pistachio in the ice cream. If felt like it had no flavor

Their Summer Restaurant week 3 course dinner menu runs until Sept. 9th! Music was at a good level and it wasn't super noisy. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was delicious! Not pictured is my Ginger Spritz mocktail which was just the way I like it...SUPER gingery! The ginger chew at the end made the cocktail perfect. With or without the restaurant week menu, we will be coming back here!

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience.
