My partner and I were visiting the city for his birthday when he asked that we go to Waffle House before heading back on the road, and as I hadn't ever been to a WH, I was enthused to try it. I am not being dramatic when I say it was everything I'd heard about-- in the best possible way. The price system is simple, to the point, and extremely reasonable. I got absolutely stuffed full for $12! Food aside (it was incredible and delicious)-- what took me the most was the atmosphere and the staff. The cook was having a blast, singing little tunes, and being an all around B.A. while serving up perfectly cooked food. I should add context that we came in while they seemed to have gotten slammed with a rush they don't typically see on a Tuesday morning. We lucked out with the last two seats in the room. Our waitress was warm, welcoming, and took our orders with a smile. At one point while taking our orders, she apologized and briefly turned around to handle something on the burner (I think, something needed to be flipped or turned from what I saw) but she did it with such grace and flow that by the time I processed what happened she was already turned back to us to finish taking our orders. From then on, I took notice to all of the staff and their precision and speed while juggling multiple orders, customers, etc. They worked together in harmony, and before you knew it.. the rush was over. The restaurant was quiet and they all took a beat to just breathe and applaud each other for a perfect job well done. I was in awe. If there was ever any sort of example of a great team with great leadership, it would be this specific location. I really hope we can come back to this location again. Might be my first one star Waffle House review.....maybe. You never know when you go to the greasy spoon. These folks were all over the place. The cook was talkin' bout the staff was making him anxious. Maybe that's why I got my cheese on top of my omelet instead of in it. Maybe that's why my omelet was brown. Wasn't burnt but it's suppose to be yellow. Lady called order out, they didn't hear it, so I got it late. I even chimed in and said, "she called the order out." read more

The chicken melt was over salted, I didn't get the tomato and pickle that I ask for before and after placing and getting my order. My hash browns were supposed to be scattered, smothered, covered. I ask that they not be crispy. When I opened the container when I got home the hash browns had a dark, hard top and under that hard shell it looked like 2 teaspoons of uncooked hash browns were placed there. No cheese no onions. This cooked needs to be trained or fired. read more

My expectations were completely blown away during my first ever visit to Waffle House, known for offering its breakfast menu 24 hours a day! Our server Ryan was so warm and friendly and probably gave the best service I've ever experienced at such a large chain restaurant. The menu was short and simple, and the All-Star Special came with a customizable set of options. My picks included two eggs over-easy, a biscuit, grits, a slice of city ham, and, of course, a waffle! The grits were the only disappointing part, as they turned out rather chunky and coagulated. However, the eggs were perfectly cooked with runny yolks, the thick slice of ham was nicely caramelized, and the griddled biscuit was soft and buttery. This being Waffle House, however, the highlight was definitely the Classic Waffle, which was soft and fluffy on the inside and perfectly caramelized on the outside. The waffle had a balanced, slightly sweet vanilla flavor and was imprinted with the "Waffle House" brand in the middle. I can now understand how Waffle House has become such a beloved icon in the South with its great, affordable food available at all hours of the day! read more

Very disappointing experience. I came in this morning. I sat at the counter. The restaurant was very dirty. While the workers were trying to clean, the manager said that they could clean dishes at the end of the day. The server came and asked if I was eating in. I waited 10 minutes and she never came back. This was the worst Waffle House that I have ever been to! read more

We have been on the road since yesterday my daughter is moving from Wisconsin to Georgia and as we passed through Nashville today the traffic was horrendous!! Yeah I am from out of town, so I found getting into this Waffle House location a little bit challenging but found a booth seat and greeted immediately by pleasant staff. I love the cherry syrup that can be added to the soft drinks. Free refills and a cup to go is great! The food was cooked and delivered fast. The only oops was the Country Hash browns I ordered had a few pieces of onion in them. Most people wouldn't flinch, but I despise onion and since that wasn't part of my order I wondered whose part got mingled in with mine? Our waitress checked back often enough without being a bother. When I asked if I paid her or at the register, she even offered to take care of cashing me out so I didn't have to weave in/out of the people eating at the counter. I didn't encounter any over the line loudness from staff that has been mentioned in other reviews. I did, however, wonder why one of the female workers kept fooling with and digging in her hair and visor within sight of customers. The restrooms were clean. read more

I was very hungry for breakfast because I did not eat anything for supper last night. I wanted to go to McDonalds but, I was hesitant because of all the bad things I hear about McDonald's food. I then decided to stop at Waffle House knowing that their food is always cooked fresh, right in front of you and the staff here is always so nice. When I walked in Garth Brooks - The Thunder Rolls was playing on the Juke Box and I was greeted with a Hello and how are you today. What I had to eat was two fried eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns and buttered toast with a large coffee. I got my meal to go because I needed to put the trash can out due to it being trash pick-up day where I live. When I got home I was finally able to sit down and enjoy my food after doing my chore. My food was cold by this point but, it did not matter to me because It was still delicious. Every single bite. I saved the last piece of bacon to put on a toasted turkey, bacon, cheese sandwich for lunch. So, if you are ever hungry for breakfast and on this side of town, this Waffle House will be your best spot for super delicious food and good customer service. read more

This new Waffle House just opened within the last month or so. I will say that they are very obviously new. They hired a bunch of teenagers, so the staff doesn't look like stereotypical Waffle House staff. From my server not knowing how to write down what I ordered in their special Waffle House way, to him being embarrassed to shout "pull one sausage!" Lol. It was obvious that there were a bunch of high school kids, and so it takes a lot more practical sense than they have developed. I'm not trying to be snarky. What I mean is if I order a cheeseburger and it is brought to the table with a COLD slice of cheese on it, that's a mistake. If I send it back, and it comes back to the table in six seconds with a COOL slice of cheese on it instead of a melted slice of cheese, that's just common sense that isn't there. If you mangle a waffle, it shouldn't come to the table for you to gauge whether or not we'll eat it. It looked like it had already been chewed up. And cold hash browns... nope. That being said, come here and tip your servers and make them do well. Because kids are trying to have jobs, and management is apologetic and more than willing to fix things. They are all trying. They'll learn soon enough. I will be back, but I won't give sympathy stars. read more

I like Waffle Houses. They are tasty and generally consistent as befitting a chain diner. The price of the meal doesn't hurt either. This particular Waffle House is as slow as molasses (or pancake syrup given the venue). It is slow from the waiters to the short order cooks. We didn't get acknowledged when we walked in, didn't get asked for drinks until at least 5 mins after we sat down, and our food came out piecemeal over a space of 15 minutes. There was plenty of staff to handle all the diners, so there are clearly some time management issues that need to be addressed. The food didn't suck though, so I wouldn't count this particular Waffle House completely out. Just don't go when you are in a hurry. read more

Other times, like what I experienced today and other times, you can go in and be sitting there for 10 mins without even getting a water or any type of attention from a server who is walking past you repeatedly. The food was okay. But it was very difficult to enjoy it because of the unbelievable LOUD, and do I mean LOUD, staff. ‍ There was no one there but us and eight staff. They were so so so LOUDDDDD. Yelling conversations to each other though they were standing next to each other, clanging and banging pots and pans like the ship was going down & they were looking to be rescued, unpacking things & clanging the living daylights out of them, too, just in case EVERY NERVE hadn't been set on on fire. I'm eating, and the waitress starts picking up one utensil at a time: "you done with this? You gonna need this?" As I prepare to switch over to Waffles. ‍ I've waitressed. A LOT. Sigh. This is not how we do it. I'm going to make a definite point of skipping over this location, and going to the freezing-cold one down the road by Big Lots. This place is unbearable!! The 2 stars were for FOOD ONLY. Staff, you're not in your own home. There are paying guests with you who could eat elsewhere. LET THEM HAVE QUIET & a pleasant meal, for God's sake. No one comes in here to hear your yelling and ENDLESS LOUD clanging. And please teach your waitresses how to not remove utensils from the table unless a guest has requested new ones. read more

I've visited this Waffle House at least 3 separate times and I have Always been treated decently and our.meals were great. Granted, they are a bit on the Slow side, but my meal came out Fresh and Hot. Also this location is Clean and not Trashy like most Waffle Houses. read more

I called to make an order for take out. First of all they answered the phone and spoke what I assumed was them asking for me to hold. I am not sure because they slurred their words. So I waited patiently because I could hear someone cashing out customers but after five minutes had passed and the conversation on the phone had switched to something no customer should EVER have to hear I did get a little impatient. Then another minute and a half rolls around. Making almost seven minutes of being on hold and a minute and a half of it being very inappropriate. I finally hung up and chose to spend my money else where. Will I give them another chance? Yes and I may very well change my review. However, for now I wish I could give zero stars for being forgotten on the phone and then forced to listen to personal conversations. read more

I've eaten here before and it's been okay, but they must have gotten an all new staff because the meal I just had was amazing. Though the parking lot and tables were all full, they had a hostess working to seat people quickly. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table, even with 3 groups ahead of us. I would love to write a full review but I only got to spend 5-10 minutes here. I came in and sit up at the bar. The bar in a Waffle House is where you sit and can watch the cook and waitress do their stuff. They were not busy with around 5 tables taken with customers. No one greeted me when I walked in as this is the usual at Waffle House restaurants. I sat down and looked over the menu for a min or so. Waitresses walked by and by and by but no one said good morning, or I'll be right with you, nothing! One waitress placed a plate next to where I was sitting and placed 5 lemon slices on it for another customer without saying a word to me. Another customer came in for a to go order and they took her order right away and called it back to the cook. Still nothing as the waitresses kept just walking by. I finally stopped a waitress and asked if I could get waited on. She said she could help me in a minute. This is where I complained about the service and I just got up and left. After a wonderful worship at church was ready to eat. Had some leftover Publix fried chicken and thought to myself if only had a waffle to go with them that would make a great breakfast. Call the Waffle House the lady that answer the phone was so polite and professional she took my order ( sorry I did not get her name) in talking to her she never let me think they were very busy - arrive at the Waffle House no where to park...omg (forgot it was a holiday weekend) found a spot in the next parking lot and walked over . Walked to the "place orders to go " sign, very nice lady at the register - taking orders & working the phone. She politely asked me to wait one minute as she stepped away to assist another customer. I thought to myself my order is not going to be ready. She returned I gave her the name on the order she grab the waffles +condiments & bagged it . YEAH!!!!
