Eaten here multiple times now and it's always had good service as well as food! They have a music machine which I think is really fun.

I only go here because my dad likes to go. Staff is friendly. It's usually freezing inside. It is constantly dirty! The health department should consider stopping by. Food is what is to be expected. Cheap, fast and mediocre at best. Some real midwestern schwag. read more

Food is delicious. Bacon! Wait staff friendly enough. Copious amounts of grease as it is the main ingredient in every item. Just amazing how few people get food poisoning here. The cooks are always fast but never change their gloves. Raw bacon juice contaminates every single surface within ten feet of the cook. Wonder how they pass a health inspection. read more

We stopped in at about 9:45 for breakfast. 1. It was about 50 degrees in there. I don't mind cold, but this was ridiculous. 2. The juke box was SO LOUD I couldn't think to look at the menu. We asked if the music could be turned down so we could at least have a conversation. The "new" employee asked the woman who had been playing songs on the juke box when we arrived if she could adjust the sound. Allegedly, the jukebox remote was broken, so were stuck with ear-splitting country music. We left. We drove over to the location on Colonel Glenn. Difference was night and day. I honestly prefer Waffle House to Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, or First Watch. Blasphemy you say! But I don't think so... I can't tell you why I waited so long to order the hashbrowns "All The Way". So good, and so many delicious calories! When they ask me whether I'd like chili or gravy, or both, I say gravy. Waffle House, a 24-hour establishment, is located across the way from The Greene and off US 35- super easy to get to/from. It is situated in a large plaza near K-Mart, Pizza Hut, Sake, etc. There's also lots of free parking aaaaaaall around. Upon walking in, I notice that this is one of the cleaner Waffle House chains I've been to. It's not spic and span clean, but it's definitely better-kept than... well, every single Waffle House I've been to (from Atlanta, to Charleston to St. Louis). And this includes the fact that our table menus had splatters of syrup all over one side... Oh, well. My latest experience was one of the better times I've had. The workers greeted my party immediately upon entering and briskly walked to our table to get our drink/food orders. At 9:30 at night on a Thursday, they were NOT busy, but it was nice the girl came as quickly as she did. The highlight of the experience was the sweetness of the waitress. I wish I got her name for a shoutout! My H ordered the All Star combo whilst my siblings and I ordered different variations of the infamous hash browns. For $8, my H enjoyed his meal... and I really enjoyed his blueberry waffle! It was nicely crisped on the exterior with a good, fluffy chew in the middle. It was the BEST fast food/sit down waffle I've had (including other times I've ordered waffles at Waffle House chains, Denny's, iHops, mom & pop restaurants, etc). I'm not sure if we'll be as lucky next time... but I had to mention it. Anyhow, the hash browns were ok- the exterior was crispy, but the inside of the has browns became lukewarm, near cold within minutes... and I felt like the extra toppings weren't given much thought. All for under $18? Yeah, I guess we're high rollers at Waffle House. Not a bad place to head to when you want your meal in under 10 minutes! read more

Idc what your hours are but post them and be consistent! I get it it's hard to hire people when business are paying minimum wage but either be closed and say that. Or say business is open for 2 hours 12-2 pm. something instead of everywhere it's posted as open but you show up lights are on and you counting money but y'all closed?! Then you try tomorrow earlier and it's closed then next day open. Just tell me the hours ! read more

I always love Waffle House but what I love even more is that they're (supposed to be) open 24 hours. Unfortunately this location never is even though they advertise as such. Please fix this or hire employees that won't lock the doors and refuse to serve you during business hours. read more

Ordered the all star breakfast this morning. Ate 90 percent of my plate to find multiple pieces of HAIR underneath my hash browns. Disgusted and will never return smh. My fiancé's steak was also undercooked. I don't believe this location deserves the one star I gave them! read more

This Waffle House was awesome. I had just spent the night with my mom who was in critical condition under hospice care. I came to the waffle house hoping to get some energy food to keep going. I was served by Amy, and she made me feel so welcome and special. Her service completely turned my day around. So update on the Waffle House situation! I did send something to corporate. The owner Tom owns the waffle house locations in all of Dayton called me back, viewed the footage and apologized and said to apologize to my daughter as well! He saw the interaction between the cook and my kids. He saw it all! He said the jukebox was serviced earlier that day and when the company that does it they put in credits to the jukebox. The credits weren't even the cooks!!!! He said the interaction was unacceptable and he could see my daughter wiping her face and leaving to sit in the car! He says we are welcome at any of the locations he Owns and is sending a gift card to cover our next couple of visits!. He stated that they have been hit hard from covid and that their customers are what they need and wants us to come back! I am giving four stars because of the quick response and course of action, and because I got a personal phone call from the owner! I am impressed and happy and we love our Waffle House! We will be juke box playing and waffle eating soon! We are just going to go to a different location. Went there on Easter Sunday to get crave some grilled hashbrowns and gold ole waffle. For Easter Sunday it was really dull but the service was top notch. The waitress was doing her job and asking if we needed refills and kept asking if we were ready to order and kept checking up on us. The food came out hot and fresh and drinks were good. Bill was reasonable. No wait times at all. People just need to understand though, you will never get the same type of service at waffle house. It just depends if the people there are having a good day or not and if they are fully staffed or not. My advice to waffle house restaurant chain is kinda of offer variety of food. I know its breakfast related food mostly but expand the menu from time to time. Also, you can never find the clean spoons/forks without showing the wear and tear of the utensils. I would prefer if they had like newer spoons and knives that can withstand the wear n tear. or get fancy plastic ones that we can through away after the meal. read more

Guilty pleasure. Well, I seem to always be glad to find someone who will join me at Waffle House. I guess they do have a rep. Once I ate at one late at night in Columbus that had a security guard. Anyway,on a Sunday morning it was very busy. We didnt wait long though, tables were cleared and cleaned quickly. Service was fast and good. I actually think the coffee was pretty darned good. We had our food in about 3 minutes. I had a waffle and eggs. The eggs came out as ordered and the waffle was fine. Numerous offers for refills and a nice but efficient waitress made it pleasant. Its a diner and it does what it does well. Its very well priced ( I use the 5.00 menu a lot). read more

What can I say I just love this waffle house . I know that there is not one thing on the menu that is good for me and that I probably should not eat it . But I know this going in . But sometimes you just have to satisfy that feeling of having grease saturated food served to you quickly . It's crazy how fast the food is cooked I barely have enough time to put sugar in my coffee before my food is delivered to my table . But sadly I must make my visit to the waffle house less often now. . :( after having two heart attacks and an artery that was 70% closed and having to have a stent put in my artery to keep my blood flowing free without restrictions . on a happier note the service is great the staff is friendly and like I said before the food comes out fast . I eat breakfast here all the time. Walk in, take a seat at the counter, and order up. Cheese omelet, hash browns, toast, and coffee. Omelet is always fluffy, potatoes always perfect. Staff is super friendly, even when they are extra busy. read more
