I've been to many Waffle Houses...the concept is the same in all of them. The waffles are melt in your mouth delicious. I've been to worse (in regards to cleanliness and service)...and if you are going there at peak hours (breakfast on a Sunday morning); be prepared to wait: ANYWHERE. The five stars is specifically for Carly our waitress. I know that today is her last day but for us she was awesome! The food was served hot and very fresh. The coffee was very good and hot. The restaurant was very clean and it was relaxing. Just what we needed after 7 hours at Kennedy Space Center. Carly never let our drinks empty and was very courteous of our table. We only went here for nostalgic purposes. One of my friends had come here a few decades ago with her family and wanted to relive the breakfast. This place is a typical fast food chain joint. Old 1990s decor, hard booths and a one page laminated menu with no healthy or modern options. I'm kinda confused as to how an establishment like this can compete with other breakfast chains like IHOP and Denny's. Anyway, the food was low quality as we expected. The waitress was nice and we liked that we can see the kitchen where they prepare food. My friend got the All Star which was a good portion size but lacking in taste. It didn't taste bad, but definitely tasted cheap and artificial; literally worse than McDonald's. I had Hash Scattered and Smothered which is basically hash with onions. The top layer was decent and crunchy but the bottom was mushy and unpleasant. Again, this visit was for the sake of nostalgia. We knew what we were getting ourselves into here. Steer clear. Any breakfast chain (IHOP, Denny's or Cracker Barrel) is better than this place. read more

I love Waffle House for what it is, yummy greasy food. So when I went there at 2am after a night of drinking, I was stoked. Our order was taken and we sat there. and sat there. We watched the grill cook melt a huge thing of margarine on to the grill. We watched her fidget in the kitchen. We did not see her prepare a single item in the 45 minutes we were there til we left without being served. We tried to get the staff's attention several times to see what the hold up was but they blatantly ignored us. All i wanted was a waffle =( read more

My first impression was using the rest room when I walked in. It was very clean, but there were gnats buzzing around which I thought was kind of a bad sign. I was greeted immediately by the waitress & cook. I really liked how friendly they were and I felt comfortable. It was 3:30am and I had ended a night shift. I just wanted to be at peace and enjoy my meal. The food was done SO FAST after I ordered. Everything was hot and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. They didn't have wifi, but the cook let me use his hot spot, which I thought was great. So I stayed longer and ordered a chocolate chip waffle. I started to play some songs on the jukebox. Two drunk idiots came in and crowded me while putting dollars in. This pissed me off as it was rude and I was playing music. It's not Waffle House's fault, but it's something you have to be a bit prepared for as a woman eating alone at 4am. Some people have no common curtesy. They didn't bother me enough to run me off. I let them know they where crowding me, finished my song selection as they waited behind me like intoxicated vultures and I sat back down to finish my waffle. It was so delicious and they weren't stingy with the chocolate chips. The employees made me feel at home and at ease. I was happy to be there. I'll definitely be back in hopes that my meal is just as good and the same type of employees are on the clock, very courteous and attentive to my needs. There were some gnats that bothered me during my meal, so that is what made me chose 4 instead of 5 stars. As they started cleaning heavily at 4:30am the gnats disappeared. If they could control the gnats I would have given them 5 stars. Everything other than the "unwanted guests" was great. I'll be back if the cook with the wifi hotspot is there. read more

I'm baffled with our visit. When we walked in we were told to sit at a dirty table with dirty dishes and that it would be picked up soon. Nobody ever picked it up. It was gross. Not only were the dishes not picked up afrer being given our seat, that was the last we heard from service since nobody even attempted to take our order. Place was very dirty. I do not recommend anyone eating at this establishment. If I could put no stars, I would. Needless to say, we left and went to IHOP. read more

I come to Cocoa Beach quite often to visit my mother. I always eat breakfast at the Waffle House when I'm down here. They always get the food out to me in a timely manner and the food is always delicious. When I walked in today, there were two groups of 10 people or more and it was a little hectic for the staff. To my chagrin, one of the cooks (I wish I gotten his name, young black guy) noticed that I had been sitting there for a couple minutes without a server coming up to me and asked me for my order. I thought that was fantastic. My food came out very quick, the waitress then came over and apologized for the wait. When I was leaving she gave me a free large coffee for me to leave with. The staff at this waffle house is great. I can tell they care about what they do and the place runs like a clock. read more

While hungry from a long day of airplane flying we decided to stop at the Waffle House for a nice breakfast. We had a huge party of seven so it was very hard for the staff to get our order to the right place. I wouldn't go there with more than four people. The waffles were pretty good although. They screwed up my brother's side order of ham and gave him sausage. They really can't give good service if there are more than four people in your party. read more

Wish the had a dis-like button, went to eat at this location, ordered a waffle with pecans, and a all star breakfast, waffle was burnt, syrup was all over the container when he handed it to me, the menu had syrup all over it. I didn't think this place would be so messy and don't know what to think. Never will I try and waffle house this messy again. Best Waffle House EVER :) Our compliments to the chef Ti. He came over to the table a few times just to make sure we enjoyed everything and to make sure the steak was cooked to my husbands liking. Our server Kimmie was great. Very friendly and attentive. My 7yr daughter even said she was the nicest waitress she has ever had. The food and service made our last day in Florida a memorable one. As I look through my facebook feed a shot comes up of a grandnephew holding up a nerf bazooka of some sort. The smile on his face says it all and the joy is infectious as dozens of likes and a few kind words follow that happy image. A comment quoting Pacino in Scarface is inevitable "Say hello to my little friend." That same infectious happiness is evident in the Waffle House as my pecan waffle is dished up, followed closely by bacon, eggs, hash browns, and a fried, yes fried, biscuit along with, of course, more coffee. As I sit enjoying the food and the atmosphere I hear "Say hello to my little friend" and I am pulled out of my reverie to listen to a wholly unrelated conversation amongst the staff talking about that classic Pacino moment. This is the first time I have ever written a yelp review but I had to share. The food was decent, what you expect from a fast breakfast joint. Our waitress needed to learn customer service. She came over to take our order and didn't ask how we were or if we were ready. She acted rushed and like any question we had (like of they still had the breakfast burritos) was a waste of her time and rushed us along. She gave my sister attitude, she only checked on us once, and when I flagged her down a couple seconds after taking our order to ask her to make our hash browns crispy if it wasn't too late, she rolled her eyes and stormed into the kitchen. She only had 3 tables to serve and acted like she was super busy. I was a server for years and I would never give this type of attitude. However the lady named Mary who we flagged down for refills and jelly because we didn't want to DISTURB our server was very kind and curious. I will go back when I come into town again but I will make darn sure we get a different server. It really isn't hard to be polite to guests. read more

Noisy, noisy and then nosiy. They should not specialize in waffles unless you like them soggy. The staff enjoys the loud sound of breaking dishes. They applaud as it frequently happens. DON'T EAT HERE!!! We decided to go because it was right near our hotel. We had to wait 10 min at 10:30am for a table. That's fine, but when we were pointed to where to sit we were told that the server would take the dirty plates off of the table. He directed us to basically sit at a table with other people's nasty dirty plates on it. We got mad and moved the plates ourselves because our server never came. We waited another 10 min, apparently he was in the weeds somehow. A man sat behind us, after we did, at a CLEAN table and was greeted before us. Needless to say we left. Waffle House is not typically my favorite place to eat but I had a great experience at this particular venue last week. The service was great. Drink orders were taken and delivered at a fast pace. Order immediately taken and prepared perfectly and rapidly. My burger was cooked to perfection, the hashbrowns were golden brown, the grilled chicken was completely cooked yet juicy and the chocolate chip waffle was incredibly savory. Lunch for three including beverages for less than $20 and in and out the door in less than 30 minutes. Great experience. read more
