Ya girl finally had her first Waffle House experience! This isn't where we set off to go. But we were driving by on the way from the airport and we said, "you know what? Heck yeah!" [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not fancy, it's a super simple restaurant with older decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was one waitress and one cook. The waitress was also cooking the waffles. My friend got a full breakfast. I got the hash brown bowl with a side of gravy and a strawberry shortcake waffle. She liked all of her food, (she's been there before.) I liked the food fine enough. The strawberry shortcake waffle has some "strawberry" pieces in it, with these crunchy strawberry things and whipped cream on top. It was very sweet and didn't need any syrup. It's more like a dessert. The hash browns were fine too. The grilled chicken was a little dry, and overcooked. Oh and the gravy was lumpy tasted like it needed more water or something? Our food came out quickly and the staff was friendly. I'm not necessarily rushing to go back to a Waffle House. But I'm glad I at least tried it. read more

While Waffle House lore is quite abundant I surprisingly have never tried one before, despite being in Georgia numerous times covering sports. This time when I went, especially because it was right down the street from my hotel I had no excuse not to try. I seem to have chose a good one because this will definitely be in my rotation whenever I come back to Atlanta. Despite being quite surprised at how small it was, everyone was super friendly, and the food was quite quick off the order. I definitely was not used to the fact that everything was so cheap and portions were heaping given my time at other diners being damn near triple the cost for 1/4th the portions this astounded me. For 16 bucks because I got this 12.75 special as well as a drink, this place was the bomb. The special included their world famous waffle, a normal two egg breakfast plate, a side a hash-browns, and toast. I decided to be adventurous and tried the raisin and supposedly it's their specialty and I wasn't disappointed. The flavors were just like a cinnamon raisin bagel, but on crack, definitely worth it on top of the apple jam that they gave me as well perfect pairing. The waffle, especially surprise me as it tasted almost like a cinnamon toast waffle, but better. It's hard to describe without trying it yourself, but despite it being thin and looking like a normal waffle, but semi-flatter the taste in it is heavenly. I thought I died multiple times eating it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I didn't necessarily see the craziness that normally comes with a waffle House at 6 AM.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left with tons of good memories and heavenly food in my stomach so I guess I can't complain. Disclaimer: I'm from the West Coast trying Waffle House for the first time. This review goes towards the staff there. When I first came in, on a Saturday, there was a 15 person deep line. After waiting for two minutes I hear the shift leader yelling out and organizing up the line. Ms. Sugar has the bearing of a military First Sargent. She commands the place. Just observing her briefly she had the line organized and continued to make things moving. Her instructions were loud, clear, and polite. People were sat, orders place, food served, and people cashed out once they were done.....all in sufficient speeds. While she was organizing and helping get everyone moving along, the line cooks, manager, servers were all busy doing their own tasks. I sat next to where people picking up their orders. Ta, one of the workers went through everyone's order in front of them and packed them immaculately. He was professional, informative, and courteous to each person's order. Other servers were prepping the to go orders, some orders had like 6 meals in one order, and the line cooks and manager were hammering things out. Everything was running smooth and efficiently. It was a well oiled machine. While Ms. Sugar was keeping things moving along, she'd help out pouring the waffles on the irons, cleaning the counter, cashing out people, seeing what needed to be restocked. She's a great leader. Everyone else was busy bringing out food, busing the tables, and all working well. While I was eating, the staff cleared 2 surges of about 10 people each. The staff just worked it out like it was nothing. It goes to show how effective they are. Definite kudos and appreciation to them. The food. Oh man. This was everything what I was expecting. Their waffles. Hands down the best I've ever had. Ever. So light, fluffy, flavorful. It was perfect. If I didn't have to leave so soon, I'd eat 2 more. And the grits. Wow. Perfectly seasoned. Perfect as is. I can understand the hype now and I'm so appreciative of the experience. Demographics: Side note, I was the only Asian person in here. Which I'm fine with. I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me. But to those who feel intimidated of going in, this place is not a place to be intimidated of. I was treated well, treated politely and treated like another hungry customer. I definitely will be coming back to this Waffle House again or any for that matter. I work at the airport on the weekends, so this location is between work and home so, 93% of my food is placed as to orders by phone. The other 7% is placed as to go orders at the counter. Usually there is no issue with getting someone on the phone, but sometimes they have an automated greeting on that says to call back later and that can stay on up to an hour, I went in one time and the phone was off the hook and when I brought it to their attention, they just smiled and placed the phone back on the hook. I can only think of one time that my food was wrong, I`d ordered a cheesburger and when I got there the lady told me they were outta buns and did I want my burger on Texas toast. I didn`t but took it anyway Normally not a wait when I call in, and to go food ordered at the to go counter is generally an average amount of time The staff seems to really work well together and the atmosphere is always lively read more

5 star food but I had to knock off 2 stars and I'll tell you why. This is not the best WH I've ever been to, but the food was good nonetheless! I normally don't judge them based off of cleanliness, but I have to this time! This location is a hot mess! Food all over the floor, greasy tables, dirty condiments- JUST A MESS! I never expect five star service when I visit any WH. I understand that being a greasy restaurant is their standard, but come one now! Anyway- The staff were extremely friendly and quick. I had an extremely disappointing Waffle house experience on November 21, 2022. I ordered the all American breakfast, which includes eggs, three strips of bacon, toasts, grits, and a waffle. The Bacon was initially served partially pink and upon requesting that it be darker was returned burnt. Additionally a customer inquired about the store manager and asked to speak with that person. They were inquiring about employment and was directed by an employee to where hiring information could be obtained. This visiting candidate was advised by the employee that the manager was too busy to speak with anyone. Additionally, it appeared that one of the waitresses were being trained, and made a few mistakes which could not be addressed by this manager, who was apparently inundated with work. I had been provided with condiments which were in packets and left at the edge of my table. This young waitress approached the table and pointed to those condiments, inquiring if they were mine. This question confused me as it was on my table and I was dining alone. Additionally, she was observed drying, what I believed to be recently washed utensils, uncomfortably close to where I was eating, and visible to me as I was eating. Around 5am I wanted breakfast. Due to COVID-19 a lot of 24/7 breakfast places is not allowing dinning in after a certain. We went to 3 different WH's. We arrived here and we were the last one they allowed to do to go before it was shutdown due to shift change. The cashier announced this location was out of all condiments and utensils ! Being from California, I find Waffle House to be a treat whenever I travel. I just look for the one that's closest to where I'm staying. Now, this review is more for my amazing server, D'Angelo, than for WH itself, because I think it's pretty hard to eff up their food. D'Angelo...if I could have him be my server everywhere I go, I'd be so happy. He has the most charming, warm, welcoming disposition of any person I've ever met. You can tell he loves his job just by the way he showed my coworker (a WH newbie) around the menu. Seriously, the man is the embodiment of Southern Hospitality. First time at Waffle House and the experience was just okay. Very friendly staff however, the food was not as expected. Our food came out and the grits tasted like soap so we kindly asked if we could get a new order of grits. The second time around it tasted like soap again. We asked them to try the grits for themselves and minutes later saw them throw out the grits. I guess it was contaminated. Food quality was not the best. Today I went in for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The waitress was kinda weird/shy like I don't really know how to explain her demeanor but it was weird. She told me it's best to get a $5 meal which included hashbrowns and a beverage. So I rolled with that but asked for eggs scrambled light and extra butter on toast. I noticed that she didn't call out anything that I asked for so when i did receive my food finally I was in a hurry to get to work. So long story short I regret giving her an additional tip because my egg was cooked hard which made whole meal undesirable. Visited this location on a Thursday at 1:00pm. Not all waffle houses are created equal! This was by far the best customer service I've received from ANY restaurant in the longest of time.
