Came here to Colorado to visit a family member and went to the Waffle House for the very first time. I have to say that the greeting was awesome, the waitress helps us out to order since there was so much goodness foods to choose from. We finally placed our order and mannnnnnn food tasted amazing and tempered of food was great!! The service and views were great. For our first time EXCEPT my family member, but for me I'd have to say it was 10 out of 10 100% GREATTTT!! definitely will come again when I visit Colorado. I was super excited to try Waffle House for the first time being from California (from my understanding there is none in Cali) and hearing good stuff about it, but honestly I was kinda disappointed. The food wasn't necessarily bad, but there was simply no wow factor to set it apart from other breakfast places. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot and the bathroom was actually cleaner than I expected it to be so that was nice. But on the other hand, it took a really long time for my cousin and I to be served our food. It was overall a very mid experience unfortunately :( read more

Every time I come here something is messed up. It's probably because they can't seem to keep their staff! The waffles are underdone and cold. I've seen them pour the batter onto the iron when it looks almost frozen. My toast is always not toasted. The eggs are only done 2 ways: scrambled or over easy. Nothing in between. Coffee: weak,more warm than hot. Hash browns always on the burner side. And the final nail in the coffin is the fact they charge 20% for to go orders. Why? I only made this review because I keep coming back for the country ham. But that's not worth it. The country ham is technically no longer on the menu. So you have to order it in person. This last time o thought I would spare the awkwardness and get a to go order, even after reading the 20% sign. Needless to say it was all messed up and they forget 3/4 of the order that they put into those gigantic bags. And I won't get into too much detail all the time I would go and just get ignored. I live in Denver but whenever I go to the Springs, this is a special treat for me! I'm from Atlanta and every WH I've tried in CO has fallen short. They know how to scatter their hash browns and the food has all the comfort and deliciousness of the south. The sweet tea has enough sugar in it to bake a cake, but that is how it's done in the south! I always have a glass of water to keep adding to my tea lol. I ordered double hash browns scattered and smothered(that means crispy and with onions), the patty melt plate and a plain waffle- heaven. If I could give less than one star, I would. My wife and I went to the Waffle House on Fillmore in Colorado Spring and we had the worst experience. Not that my expectations were high, but what we witnessed was atrocious for a restaurant. When we walked in, around lunchtime, the place was empty (which should have been my first clue), with the exception of about six employees. Several employees were on each side of the restaurant yelling at each other across the restaurant. It was so loud, that I couldn't hear our server ask what we wanted. After we ordered our food, one employee picked up another employee and started wrestling behind the counter. Only came to realize that one of the two people was the store manager. Not setting a great example for his staff. When the food came, it was cold. How can you serve cold food to the only patrons in the restaurant? In addition, one of the dishes was made incorrectly. We sent both dishes back to be redone. When finally checking out, I told the manager how appalling our experience was and he needed to tighten things up, especially his employees. His response? "OK". Not something along the lines of I'm sorry. Horrible customer service. The management, staff, and food were awful. You can bet that we will never walk into a Waffle House again. read more

She spoke over him when he was trying to order and then before he was even done she tried to take his plates. Without further ado , I'm reposting that I don't recommend visiting when this establishment cannot take action by asking rowdy customers to please leave and to asks other guests to definitely leave children alone. The one star is for the servers hustling their butts off. They were amazing . The food was just disgustingly sad. Orders came to is wrong. My group of 6 with 4 of them kids, just wanted a simple meal no hassles. There was a a different party of 4 , sitting in a booth outrageously obnoxious, being completely Rude to the servers . These guests to whom I'm referring to were cursing at servers throughout my entire visit. Also , for absolutely no reason whatsoever, the guests came and got in the face of one young girl in my group and started taking photos of her without her consent and verbally harassing this young girl out of nowhere! Completely unprovoked . What a horrible choice to dine here . Safety is at risk here , and it is 100% true that the servers all came over to us and the rest of us and kept apologizing over and over That's why they get 1 star .
