I had not been to a Waffle House in a long time. My wife was adamant that she did bit not want to go but we "talked her into it." Don't be mistaken that this is a First Watch or a restaurant of that caliber; this is a more casual experience with a lot of food. What can you expect when you go to Waffle House? Expect a friendly greeting when you enter, expect a friendly and attentive server, expect that you will get so many plates of food that you will seriously scratch your head and say, All this for $8.00! I ordered the Cheesy Eggs, Rye bread toasted, grits and sausage. Nice meal! My wife and mother-in-law both got the All Star breakfast which came with two eggs, toast (they got Cinnamon Raisin), grits/hash browns, bacon, and a waffle (both upgraded to a pecan waffle). My son had the chocolate chip waffle and bacon (it was only $4.00). Everyone liked their food (my son loved his waffle), and no one left hungry. Stopped by Waffle House to fuel up my daughter for her volleyball tournament. She had a yummy waffle and was happy with it. I had a waffle with pecans and a side of biscuits and gravy. I can't even post one star And I never waste my time leaving horrible reviews, but here I am. The place was crowded, we waited, no big deal . I let a couple go ahead of us and take the booth because I really need a table with two small kids. Sat ourselves which totally fine. No one greeted us , Ok I'll give them a few they are busy. I have two small children with me and we waited 30 minutes still not addressed or welcomed once. Then a lady comes in to order carry out and is provided with service right away. We've never been to this Waffle House. And since my son had just gotten off work and was starving, we all agreed to see if they were indeed open for sit in dining. Surprise! They are! We thankfully got a booth. And our waitress (Amy? I apologize if I got it wrong!) was absolutely AMAZING! We loved her! Up beat, cheery, nice, great talking to her! She made sure we our drinks stayed full and took care of our orders. Which our food came to us hot and so good! Yall, they have BEST grits in the area! I know,I have tried them.at many places and yuck. My son wolfed down his burger and almost half of his hashbrowns and I couldn't eat all of mine, there was so much and I am not complaining a bit! I have enjoyed this Waffle house in the past. We wanted to eat here today, so I called to make sure they were open. The phone rang and rang, finally going to a message which said they were open for dine-in. I also saw a Yelp review from the past couple of weeks stating the reviewer had eaten in the Waffle House recently. So we went there tonight, and there's a sign on the door saying they are closed because of low staffing. How about putting an answering machine message on that tells your customers this? Why do I keep doing this to myself? Its late at night. Im tired, dont feel like cooking, food options are limited. Theres always waffle house. Well, apparently this location is having some troubles. My food came out okay, but they were very understaffed and they were running out of food. Finally they had to lock the doors, much to the dismay of many carloads of drunks. This Waffle House just opened this week in my neighborhood and is a danger to my lifestyle....I now have the 24/7 temptation of Pecan Waffles so close to me now. Anyhoo, I stopped by here this afternoon in the busy construction zone on 23, this place is located on the west side of High/23 just south of Lazelle and is easiest to access from the traffic light there and scoot around the backside of the other businesses there since the only other access is a southbound only driveway. With even being brand spankin' new it wasn't busy at all during my visit and placed my order for a cuppa joe and two of my favourite menu items, Bert's sausage melt and hashbrowns, all the way. Didn't have to wait long and my meal was delivered to my appetites delight. The grilled sausage sammich, cheesy, meaty goodness with just the right amount of grilled onions. The hashbrowns the usual sloppy pile of good stuff although they have changed "all the way" to now include country gravy on top of cheese, grilled onions, chunked ham, diced 'maters, jalapenos, grilled button 'shrooms and yes, Bert's chili. While it was a tasty mess, I think I'd forgo the gravy/chili combination next visit and go with one or the other. My server Crystal, was friendly, attentive and kept my coffee filled. The food was what you expect from a diner like WH, cooked to order, fast and decent affordable prices. With the time to enjoy my lunch and visit with some of the good folks working behind the counter I can already tell this will be on a weekly visit rotation if not more. This location is always clean and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Food is always good and correct to order. Had my usual Bacon Lovers BLT. You can not go wrong with a late night, or early morning meal at waffle house. You know exactly what to expect every time you go. The food and restaurant are not fancy but always taste delicious. I always get the All Star Breakfast. I get a waffle with 2 over easy eggs, bacon, toast, and hashbrowns with cheese and gravy. You can not beat all that for less than $10. I have never had an issue with service or anything else at this location and will definitely go back when my next waffle house craving hits. read more

I seriously like the hash browns so much at Waffle House I might need to buy my own shredder and flat top one day. Until I do I think that I might make the goal of eating at every Waffle House in Columbus. This location was easy to get in and out of right off High Street. Walking in we were greeted and seated quickly. Waters were brought when our waitress came to take our order. Within a few minutes we had coffee and the grill man was fast at work. With the dining room half full, we had our food in about ten minutes. I got a couple of eggs cooked over hard to perfection. The hashbrowns were made to order and came diced, chunked, and peppered. The bacon was just right with a little crisp and a bit of chew. Coffee was refilled with food and offered again before we got our check. The dining room and mens restroom were clean. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. The food tasted great and was a pretty good value for the speed, quality, and quantity. Waffle Houses are open 24 hours a day and breakfast is available all the time. I recommend this location to anyone in Worthington, Powell, the Olentangy area, or anybody passing through. read more

Came to eat breakfast here with my fam yesterday and the service was excellent. They servers greeting us when we arrived and were very attentive the entire time we were there. Saw a bug(possible cockroach)walk across the table, most of the staff has seen better days, and I think our waitress was on drugs. My sausage patty's looked like they were past their prime in the 80s, and our waitress looks like she cut her finger and use receipt paper and scotch tape to cover it up and,she also had a cigarette behind her ear the entire time.
