I was passing through and decided to stop at Waffle House. I'm no stranger to Waffle House--I absolutely love it --and I usually stick to my go-to: the pork chop meal with hashbrowns smothered and covered well done. This time... yeah, it didn't quite hit. My hashbrowns came out regular--barely any color, no crisp, just kinda there. And my pork chops? Whew... cooked way past well done--super dry. Definitely not what I'm used to. Now, to be fair, they were slammed, so I didn't send anything back. I just powered through. But I will say--the real highlight was our server (I hate I forgot her name!). She asked how everything was and I expressed my dissatisfaction so she offered to remake my food and ended up comping my meal, which I really appreciated. That kind of service goes a long way. As for the rest of the table--my son enjoyed his food, but my nephew said his eggs weren't great and the sausage was bland. All in all, I'd give it a 3/5. I don't know why people give such low scores for Waffle House. You know what you're getting when you go there. It's basic, no frills food. We always get breakfast and it's fast, hot and edible. This location has always been fully staffed when we are there. Today, Connie took care of us and she did a great job with a great attitude and great smile!! The inside of the restaurant looks just like every other Waffle House so you know seating is limited but this location is clean and efficient. The food was very good. read more

Midnight snack classic. Fast service and kind staff. Cheesesteak hash was served very fresh and loved the crunchy texture profile of the dish. The meat was slightly dry but tasted great with a bit of ketchup to mix into the dish. Cheese complements the potato and beef well and would recommend if you get hungry at night! read more

Everything from your employees especially hallee and the manager Elizabeth, both rude and disrespectful. Food has horrible and that's never been an issue until today, bacon wasn't Extra crispy, grits were hard and dry, egg shells in the eggs and waffles took longer then they should and weren't done correctly. The place was clean but that's about it. I will never go back there again, I wouldn't waist my time if I were you. Go to the breakfast anytime up the street. We stopped by Waffle House for a little breakfast on the go! My brother and I ordered the "All Star breakfast" which comes with grits or hash browns, bacon or sausages, toast, eggs, and a waffle. The breakfast was good, but my grits were lukewarm! Our servers name was Barbie and she was a serious cookie! She was patient when taking our order but she was serious about getting exactly what we wanted. The cook was a heavy set woman who barked out commands as if to say "this is my kitchen, move out my way!" She wore only one glove on her left hand but prepared food with both; did they run out of gloves? The restaurant was clean, and some of the people greeted us with a smile and a good morning while others just looked on! Well after about seven minutes our to-go order was ready but it didn't add up for me so I asked Barbie why was it so much, and after charging my card she told me that in addition to the extras like cheese and pecans in one waffle, a $2.50 gratuity was added as well as a $2.05 take out charge on top of the tax. Food was not cooked right! I could not eat it. I called the store and no one Answered the phone. It was a waste of my money!!!

I walked in to a chorus of "Welcome to Waffle House" by a group of enthusiastic servers.They were motivated from the time we entered until the time we left. Our server made sure we didn't have to wait for anything we needed. She was very prompt and nice. They had a sanitation grade of 97. It looked and smelled clean. What was most comforting was the fact that you are able to watch your food being prepared. The floor in the food preparation area looked clean as well. The food was just regular breakfast food but it was served exactly the way we ordered it. They do have a few new things on the menu that I may try on my next visit! Good job, Waffle House. read more

Not sure what happened with first poster, but found the staff here very courteous and friendly. They are a joking bunch, so the "told me how I wanted my eggs" was probably a mistaken try at a joke. Get a sense of humor and sense of adventure, and you'll be fine. Anyway....food was excellent, and while the place was busy, we had just a short wait, and the lady checking for open tables even brought us drinks (coffee, water) while we waited. Have I had better food? Of course. The fact remains though you come to a Waffle House for good food fast, not Tilapia and stuffed shirt maitre D's. Doesn't look like much but I've never been to a Waffle House before coming from NY, so didn't know what to expect. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in by a very personable and charming waitress named CD but I believe her actual name was Cordelia. She was witty and efficient. The music was surprisingly a mood a setter as well. As for the food it came very fast and exceeded expectations. My first time here, EVER. We were there super early amd the employees were chatting amongst themselves. The workers are pleasant and accommodating. The menu is vast and very reasonably priced. The location is off the beaten path behind some hotels and that was perfect for me. My to go order was done promptly and when I ate it, I was satisfied. Of course I've forgotten the name of the meal, maybe an all star or something. It had almost everything, waffle, grits, egg, bacon. I think they add butter to their grits which is a bonus. I think the waffles are ok, not great, however I do love that they are NOT Belgian waffles. The next time I'm in the south, I'll go there. read more

Worst Waffle House experience ever! I have been to so many Waffle Houses in so many states I have lost count. But, this one by far is the worst. I went with my wife and three children. The location was empty, except for employees, and now I know why. We ordered which was a chore in itself as it had to be repeated numerous times. It was not a crazy special order, but rather things like hamburger with lettuce, ketchup, mayo and an order of hash browns with everything but cheese and gravy, a chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato and hash browns with cheese, an all American with sausage, texas toast, and hash browns all the way, two cheeseburgers with pickles only and hash browns, and a BLT with hash browns. I never heard the order called out as I do in every other waffle house. The server came back 3 different times to ask how we wanted our order. That should have been a sign. When the food came it was cold, over easy eggs are not pleasant cold, and 4 of the orders were wrong. How do you leave chili and gravy off of all the way hash browns, plainly put cheese on the one the ones calling for no cheese, no texas toast, waffle so cold it would not melt butter, a chicken sandwich with pickles and lettuce no tomato, the only thing right was the BLT. The order came out in stages and was cold, hash browns burnt into a thin patty, and floating in low melt grease. Never refilled drinks and when we asked they added drink but no ice. The staff was dancing, joking, and cutting up. They seemed a little upset when we asked for the orders to be corrected but had nothing but smiles when they handed me the $60.00 bill. Needless to say there was no tip and they will never have the pleasure of spitting in my food as I will never grace the doors of this one ever again. Third time there and third strike.
