This Waffle House location can be a hit or miss on staff, but Saturday night the staff was on it. Our server, Lisa, was doing it all. Even though it was the most servers I've seen in there, Lisa was juggling a lot. Our food came out as ordered except one of our friends who went off menu and he was missing his grits but that's on him not WF and of course they corrected it. I love this location I have one much closer to my home but it's always busy and not as clean as this location. The staff here are nice and interact with their customers. And the place is pretty clean. On our last visit here Gina was the one tending to us, she was so personable and friendly. When she brought our food out she had cut my sons waffle into a Mickey Mouse shape and he was so thrilled about it! Our food was delicious and my son talked about that darn waffle the entire day. This place is a total train wreck, second time we have come here in a month, work late and unfortunately this is the only open place near my residence. everyone here has a major attitude. We cleaned our own tables so we could sit. Then no one acknowledged us. 4 worker standing around with 2 tables in the place having people. Place just doesn't care... everyone here is useless, do not come here to eat. Food came out, 6 of 8 orders were wrong. Staff didn't care. We had a pube on the plate. This is a new Waffle House and very neat and clean. We had a server (Tony) who seemed to have different needs. He was very attentive and repeated our order back to us to make sure he had it correct. He checked back in on our drinks and made sure to ask if we needed anything. Now here is why I gave them 4 stars. The cook was yelling at server Tony. This location is less than 1 mile, but having drive 5 miles or more to another location is ridiculous. Customer service at this location has declined. No disrespect to the morning crew that I normally see but this guy (who is a night guy) who is here today is very nice, polite, and on point with taking care of me. The service was nothing short of traditional Southern Hospitality and I am happy my partner and I were able to get a seat because it was packed. The location is a bit difficult to get to, as there is not an entrance off of Concord Parkway. You can pull off Concord Parkway at three places, but neither of them go directly to the store. It us nestled between a Taco Bell and a Zaxby's. Since it's a newly opened location the restaurant is never very packed, allowing you to get a quick breakfast. Waffle House has an awesome jukebox, with a buck you can play two to four songs, and the selection is huge. As a music lover, this is what brings me back time and time again. My boyfriend and I came here from Boston to visit and we ate at this waffle house. Their food was hot flavorful and delicious! My boyfriend went to a different Waffle House the next day and I was upset because their hashbrowns were soggy and not crunchy and seasoned like this waffle house was. Was cutting me off as i was asking a question, then she put me on hold to help another guest.
