AJ THE COOK KRYSTAL THE WAITRESS Both were very nice & provided excellent service. I got a grit bowl with (sausage / egg & cheese) I went after club around 1am & it was very quiet & chill & I loved it. I stay in the neighborhood & I would come back!

This time I definitely have to give 5 stars. No disrespect to the morning crew that I normally see but this guy (who is a night guy) who is here today is very nice, polite, and on point with taking care of me. Made a recommendation of the Waffle House sauce and I like it on my sandwich, he also made sure my drink was taken care of. That being said the cook today was on point as well. When I got here my waiter was assisting the other table so he came over and took my drink and food orders while the other gentleman finished what he was doing. Not mad at this. Also to note there are only like 4 tables right now and two people working at least that I see. Dino was my waiter and I other gentleman was Jason

Food was so so, asked for green peppers but after finding jalapeños in my dish and asking, waitress said they don't have green peppers. I thought Waffle House had way more to offer on their menu. I don't go often so maybe that changed. Hash browns were crispy on top and tasted blahhhh and kinda mushy/starchy underneath. Hardly any of the veggies I requested/onions, tomatoes and mushrooms, but lots of the jalapeño peppers I didn't want. Hubby ate most of his grand slam, no complaints from him. A Fly or two kept bothering me during my meal which was very annoying.

This Waffle House is unique in its commitment to customer service. The staff is always incredibly warm and welcoming, and works hard to ensure that your meal is prepared correctly. The location is a bit difficult to get to, as there is not an entrance off of Concord Parkway. You can pull off Concord Parkway at three places, but neither of them go directly to the store. It us nestled between a Taco Bell and a Zaxby's. Since it's a newly opened location the restaurant is never very packed, allowing you to get a quick breakfast. Waffle House has an awesome jukebox, with a buck you can play two to four songs, and the selection is huge. As a music lover, this is what brings me back time and time again. Waffle House offers great food at an awesome price. The cooks and servers are hard-working and friendly. Waffle House is my new favorite breakfast spot! Highly recommended!

Slowest service ever. 1 cook and 2 waiting tables that had no clue. Food was cold, had to beg for coffee. So 4 tables get up and walk out.

Crack of Dawn is my favorite brunch spot in all of Concord, and this visit reminded me exactly why!…read more A family business spanning generations, Black-owned and woman-owned? You already know Auntie D loves putting her dollars behind the sisters. But let's be clear: the food earns every bit of this praise. I have yet to leave disappointed. My chicken-fried chicken and French toast were absolutely worth the drive. My daughter had pancakes and chicken-fried chicken, and those scrambled eggs? Light, fluffy, and deserving of their own little round of applause. Mama thoroughly enjoyed her lunch and brought leftovers home. Took a quick nap, woke up, and finished them off. That to-go box never stood a chance. ...i Crack myself up.  Now, let's discuss these FRIED PICKLES. Light, crispy, airy, with that just-right dill tang. You get a good pickle inside a lovely crisp coating. And the ranch! Full of fresh, herbaceous flavor and on the thinner side, which I actually enjoy--it works beautifully on the salad and with those pickles. I don't need my ranch standing at attention; I need it tasting good! Crack of Dawn keeps giving me a reason to make that drive. Good food, a family business I'm happy to support, and three generations at our table leaving satisfied. Five out of five fried pickles from Auntie D! C'est si bon!

A must stop for both dinner and Southern breakfast enthusiasts…read more On my way home from Charlotte, I used Yelp to find me a classic diner to start my day off right. I choose the Crack of Dawn Diner in Concord. I am so glad I did. Crack of Dawn Diner is the real thing--a local Concord breakfast-and-lunch spot serving traditional Southern fare at reasonable prices. The menu caters to local tastes, the dining room is filled with regulars, and the atmosphere is comfortable rather than trendy. Parking is somewhat limited. The private lot surrounding the restaurant was fully used so I parked in the lot next door that had signs that said private property, but it looked like other patrons were parking there also so I took the chance. As it turns out, it was safe to park there. The entrance is very welcoming, as well as the staff. Amanda was my very efficient and nice waitress. There is great teamwork here, and Amanda was well supported by, I believe, the owner who ran my food out and talked a bit with me. The menu is fascinating. A distinctly North Carolina menu. Several things jumped out: * Breakfast special for $6.59 weekdays * Breakfast plates mostly under $12 * Grits included as a side option * Livermush available * City ham and country ham both offered * Pork chops available for breakfast I ordered the country-fried steak with white gravy (essentially chicken-fried steak), along with two sunny-side-up eggs, perfectly prepared grits, a large buttermilk biscuit, and a delicious diner coffee. The restaurant occupies a stand-alone building with a warm, "come on in and rest a spell" atmosphere. Inside, you'll find counter seating, an open kitchen, and tables throughout the dining room. I chose a seat by the window overlooking the parking area. This was a great breakfast, that was reasonably priced, in a great atmosphere, with very nice people. It stuck to both my mind and ribs all day long. After breakfast, I continued on to downtown Concord and spent some time exploring one of North Carolina's most charming revitalized downtown districts. The breakfast was the perfect start to the morning. Crack of Dawn Diner has earned a spot on my repeat list whenever my travels take me through the Charlotte-Concord area.

My daughter called and when we arrived, we were lucky and was seated right away as a table was coming open. Small inside footprint but cozy with a full bar. Also outdoor patio seating. The hostess, our waitress and the walk around staff refilling water was top tier. Excellent customer service. Our waitress wasbbomb, I hate i forgot her name. Even though the place was packed she tooknour order in a timely manner, and kept checking on us be9fre we got our food,.kept us informed that the kitchen was busy but she on it. Allnifnkur food was delicious. My daughter had chicken and Belgium waffles, and I had the shrimp amd grits, my mom had a breast platter. All great choices. Give them a try!

Seriously. Everything has pork. I got a handheld egg sandwich with tomato and cheese on a croissant with their potatoes. Basic sandwich, dry and the cheese & tomato were an extra charge. The potatoes were hard like they're old. The mimosa was good, regular sparkling with pineapple juice. And their tip machine doubles the recommended amount so for my $9 mimosa it generates a +$3 tip at 18 % but it should have been under $2. Just wanted to point that out too. I won't be back.
