Typical Waffle House, we stopped after picking our son up from the airport. The service was quick and the food was just what we wanted.

This was okay. They tried hard on a Saturday morning. First off, how is there no coffee ready at 630? I guess I was the last customer of the overnight shift but it's still odd that I had to wait while they brewed a pot. Second, no cutlery? I was provided plastic for my meal. (Which is actually pretty good because the cutlery is not always that clean.) And then, because she didn't write it down, my waitress got my order wrong. Scrambled instead of over medium. I asked for cheese on the hash browns. And I had to remind her that I was waiting on the waffle. The toast was a little overdone (but not burned) and they did grill the ham properly. We walked in and waited for 15 mins for a seat. No biggie. Sat at a table, and ordered food in minutes. It was quick service. When we received our food it was delicious as always ! However when our waffles came out they were half the waffle we expected. Nonetheless food was good but needs to get better at the waffle making. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I came in and there was 1 cook and 1 waitress. No worries, it's a Tuesday afternoon so no rush or crowd so low staffing expected. Additionally I summoned up all my patience b/c the waitress (a small elderly lady) came over and told me it would take a minute b/c she had a table ahead of me. No worries. Well I waited and waited, another family came in and I wait and waited. Even the cook was waiting for orders (he even started cleaning to kill time which I have never seen at a Waffle House). Well she finally took the table's order, got them silverware, drinks...tick tick tick, and got the orders to the cooks. So I thought I could finally place my to go order (I was even low maintenance yall). NOPE! This lady walked right past me. She knew I was there, she spoke to me. After 2 hrs in traffic, 9 hours in the office and driving in the rain, I had no more patience. I walked out and past the family she chose to serve over me. I stopped at the door and thanked her for skipping over me. Perhaps this was God saving me and my family from an immune system test or just from having to waste anymore time where I'm not wanted or respected. My faith in Waffle House has been restored Earlier this year, when I stopped in to place a Togo order, I was turned off by the added fees and surcharges. I said I would never go back, just on principle. But tonight, my family really wanted it and I agreed to go pick it up. Wow! This restaurant was so festive for the holidays! The workers were inside, smiling, happy-- they were in the holiday spirit. There were decorations, music, just great vibes on a Monday night. Now, I'm tired after a long day of work myself, but they were so welcoming, I felt like I wanted to hang out with them for a bit. The manager (Nikki, I think) was there and she seemed happy that her team was happy. My food was ready when I walked in, but the cashier reminded me to check my order before I left. She was patient with me and didn't rush me. Another worker came over, I assume she was the one to prepare my order, and she remembered I had two bags. If she hadn't, I would have gotten home without my waffles. I'm so sincere when I say, I appreciate the extra effort, the smiles, the camaraderie. In these days and times, people can be so rude and dismissive, everywhere you go, workers seem to hate their jobs, and I understand. It's hard out there! So that's why, the extra kindness and excellent customer service meant so much to me. Thank you! I still don't like the fees, but my experience tonight was worth it! read more

Horrible service. My partner and I sat down at 10:55 am. We ordered at 11 am. At 11:15 the waitress came back and told us she put the order in wrong. By 11:30 am we still hadn't received our food, yet 2 other tables who ordered after us received there's. At 11:40 am I asked a worker to see how much longer the food would be. She checks and never comes back over to me. By then I had enough, I flag down the waitress & ask for the manager. I explain the problem to her and instead of offering a solution, she immediately became defensive and said "well do you want me to do, I'm short staffed. It'll be out in a few mins". Despite her saying she was short staffed, I counted at least 8 employees in the kitchen. I told her to cancel the order. I would NEVER spend money in an establishment where management disrespects their customers. I will be filing a formal complaint. I cannot believe the absolutely abysmal experience I had at Waffle House. Not only was the food subpar and the service slow, but I was also unceremoniously kicked out of the restaurant for no apparent reason. We drove to this location after leaving the Pineville location, where the service was horrible. This location was very busy, but we were greeted, and we had drinks 15 minutes in. We were never given a menu, but we had plenty of time to look at one at the other location. We kept asking for the two waffles we ordered. Our meals were finished, still no waffles. My son never got his sausage even after asking twice. The waitress was rude, telling us "the people waiting for to go orders have been waiting 45 minutes." It's in the Chicago suburbs I mean the Charlotte suburbs not far from my friend's house. (Sorry, almost everything is in the Chicago suburbs so my predictive text likes to imagine that this is too, but I don't think they have Waffle Houses there). Their service was fast and friendly as all Waffle Houses are and their food was STELLAR. First off their Waffle was cooked to perfection and smelled heavenly. It tasted just as amazing as it smelled after the butter and syrup. Their hash browns were crispy and golden with the perfect crunch and flavor. The sausages didn't disappoint either as usual. Lastly, their Angus Cheeseburgers are an amazing deal at $2 bucks a piece. Wow is all I can say, this place has gone as far down as possible without just totally saying who cares, well maybe that's what happened already. Tables and counters covered in dirty dishes, extremely slow service, have to beg for a fork, appears the place has never been cleaned, notice all the splatter, dust and grime on the ceiling. Employees more interested in sitting and taking on their phone, charged for double hash browns and only given a regular order, not a big deal but with all the other deficiencies though it should be pointed out. Yes: this place is alittle greasy spoon, but that is part of the reason why they get a visit from me now and then. I love their old style Shredded Hashbrowns, make mine Smothered, which means fried with onions. You can get them with all kinds of ingredients added: Cheese, Green Peppers, Ham, Jalapeños, even Chili! Or All The Way, which is everything! The inside, along with the open kitchen & staff banter, reminds me of our childhood local diner. I enjoy being there & you can go eat at the counter by yourself and be entertained. The Omelettes are alittle too greasy for me, although fat, it seems is the new sugar, for all you Paleos out there. I think I've discovered what I like to order now. I get a egg, sausage, cheese and grits bowl with a side of large hashbrowns plain. Yes, you can get them many ways for an additional charge with things like cheese or peppers. Honestly I just like mine with ketchup and Waffle House hashbrowns are legit. Perfect crisp and tender on the inside. Should consider changing their name to Hashbrown House. The grits bowl was pretty good. I needed to season the grits a little, but liked having the sausage and stuff mixed in with it. And the food actually comes out pretty fast. It took over an hour to receive two meals. The cashier took our order and then she didn't even send it to the kitchen before she went to her car to smoke a cigarette. We realized what happened and notified another employee and she went out to the car and smoked a cigarette with the employee who left. Nobody cooked our food until we had to personally tell them exactly what we ordered and they told us it was "almost ready" as they just started making the meal. For a Waffle House, this place is great. It's a newer location, the staff is friendly and the kitchen is clean. The cooks get the food in and out quickly even if there is only one cook and a restaurant full, they do well. I wasn't much on the Waffle House craze but my boyfriend loves it for any occasion. It's becoming a trend for us. I don't hate it. It's easy to get in and out of the parking lot and only a short distance from some of the local bars if you're looking for late night. I had a non-professional experience at this restaurant. I took my grandson out to brunch at the Regent Parkway Waffle House on April 29, 2017. After 10 minutes I asked the workers about cleaning the table and giving us water and silverware. A young lady by the name of Nicole came to take our order. I found out later that she was the manager. She brought the water and silverware (no straw)to our table. We gave her our order. She told us to hold on, that it would be there soon. A young man came back to our table without the food we had ordered. He stated "that she,(Nicole) had forgotten what we ordered"(although she was writing on the order pad). He proceeded to ask us for our order again. Might I say, there was no apology given. When the order finally arrived, it was not the food that I'd ordered. Nicole came back to the area only to pass us without a word. She instead got her coat and left. I would have left the restaurant also, but my grandson was excited about me taking him out to eat. I must mention Jay, the cook. He was more polite than Nicole, the manager. He apologized and gave me the correct order. The other gentleman that took our order gave me the impression that he was being trained with no one training him. He served the food and worked the cash register. In spite being given the challenge of both jobs, he was very polite. I vow to never step foot back in that restaurant again. My grandson who is 10 years old felt the same way. By the way, there were only three tables that had to be served at this time (3pm). All other tables and counter were empty. I heard the customer behind me say "lousy service". If I could've given a ZERO star rating I would've done so. This restaurant did not deserve more than that. read more

This was a bad morning I went to start my day so me and my girlfriend go to Waffle House the first thing I notice was there was crumbs all over table I ordered orange juice which if kept out grows bacteria it was room temperature so we took are chances then they gave us one syrup covered menu after we had to ask when they were trying to take are order then are waiter brought us are silverware which was but in hot water from the coffee maker and set on the table which was missing a fork eventually we got are food but nothing was up to par eggs were cold and under done the grits were the best thing on the plate and they came from a dirty looking bin later on I had to stop eating I had enough when I seen a employee taking "clean utensils" and cleaning crusty food off of them with her finger nail and a dry napkin I didn't plan on writing all of this but this Waffle House needs to go read more

I like this Waffle House. I don't like most Waffle Houses. They are usually a little too dirty for my taste. This Waffle House is clean. The staff is nice and funny. I walked in just for coffee after a long cold walk in our neighborhood. The coffee was really delicious. I went back with my husband for food on a different trip. The food was really good. The cook was quick and efficient. I like seeing my food cooked in front of me. It's nice to see the care and concern they put into to making your food. I wish I had taken pictures but alas I was starving and the food smelled and tasted too good to wait. Maybe next time! I only have one complaint and that's the use of the spatula. I have a mild allergy pork products. I feel pretty bad when I eat any pork or pork byproducts and the cook used the same spatula to flip bacon and cook hash and everything else on the grill. I didn't expect anything different and I definitely still ate my hash-browns. If you're going to eat there be prepared you're gonna get a little bacon grease cross over. Other than that. WH corporate should spend more time training at this location. How can you be understaffed when you have 3 people at the bar area? Surely 1 of them could have done the booth area.
