Haven't been to a waffle house in ages, and was pleasantly surprised! We stepped into this location off the highway and were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess. Our server came right after we were seated. She was very friendly and helpful. I ordered a regular waffle with a side of scrambled eggs. The waffle came out overcooked, but the server asked if I wanted them to make me a new one. I said no. The overly cooked one tasted great, so did the scrambled eggs. She brought out another one anyway, and it tasted even better. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and experience here. Even the bathroom was clean! My boyfriend and I decided to visit this Waffle House for a late brunch before going to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised! On the outside and inside it has an old diner feel which we were skeptical about at first but it's turned out to be such a great spot. That staff was extremely kind and Lizz was great! She constantly was checking in on us, refilling our coffee, and she even gave us free coffee to go! It was super reasonably priced and the food was delicious. The food is good value for the price. They also run a very efficient operation and work as a team. If you're looking for a luxury brunch then this isn't for you . Waffle House. Review based on two experiences. The environment is musty, crusty, likely modly, and filled with guests that make you question your safety. The table and dishes are dirty. Service is mediocre at best. The food did come fast. The waffles are overly sweet with no true flavor. The toast is as if I ate dust off the floor. The hashbrowns contain enough oil to properly lubricate a combustion engine. If you ever hit a low enough point in your life to visit the waffle house, just head to the nearest iHop or Dennys. This Waffle House location has given me quality and speedy service every time I've dined in at this specific location even at very late hours which most people overlook. As manager at a steak house, this quality consistency is something I will always respect as any other frequent flyer at this location should. The only complaint I could think of is when I called the store back around 4am after another quality Waffle House meal, to get my servers name, so I could give her the praise that she deserves as every-time she's taken care of me I've felt like I'm sitting at home talking to a family member, though the automated voice-call wouldn't connect me to an employee. The only reason why I would be complaining about that is because this employee deserves to be recognized for her excellence by someone who works in the industry as well, though I did call back at 4am so it should be considered by others and especially myself that very few chain/cooperate restaurants have the staff that is able take calls at these unreasonable hours. All in all, I'm disappointed in myself for forgetting this wonderful severs name as she told me every time she's take care of me. If you're located in south ft. Myers craving breakfast or any kinds of food at any point in your day, this restaurant is the only place I know that I've always walked out full and satisfied, along with it being a very reasonable price Which allows me to give these servers a very reasonable able tip as I recognize their hard work which the any patron may fail to recognize unfortunately. read more

I won't touch on the fact that every person in here was irritable and complaining about their work they had tonight. Or the fact that there was SO MUCH cross contamination it wasn't funny. A good diner has that older feel with sticky tables that are quickly wiped BUT this is far beyond that and into the gross territory. Sub par food. Sub par service sub par cooking skills. I will never set foot in this location again. We walked in and sat at the counter because it was the best place compared to elsewhere. The tables were not clean. We sat there waiting to be acknowledged, but that never happened. There were five people working with only one table of customers, and they were already eating. The staff never once even attempted to make eye contact or approach us. If I were the owner of this location I would have immediately terminated every single employee and replaced them with normal human beings with personalities who understand how to work in food service. Mark this day down.....January 21, 2017...that is the day that I finally made a visit to Waffle House. While I always wanted to visit a Waffle House after 1AM to enjoy the patrons as much as the food, my first experience was on a Saturday morning, and let me tell you that I was pleasantly surprised. First, our waitress was cheerful and playful which helped set the mood. She even gave me a hat to help remember this overdue milestone. She also kept our coffee cups topped off during our visit which is a big plus. Thank you! Second, the food was simple yet surprisingly tasty. I had 2 eggs scrambled, white toast, grits and a plain waffle. I am not usually a big fan of grits, but figured I had to try them here and I was impressed with their consistency and taste. The only negative was that the 2 scrambled eggs looked more like 1, and I only say that because I was hoping to get more protein to go along with all the starch and carbs. Others in my party had chocolate chip waffles and eggs and one had a bowl of eggs, cheese, sausages, and potatoes. Everyone cleaned their plates so that means Waffle House must be doing something right! I will definitely be back the next time I am in town. read more

Two, three or a Gaston portion of ova, they will boast perfectly solid albumen and runny yolks. No gelatinous skin hanging around, primed to sog your toast or worse, slide through the tines of your fork en route to the boca. Appetite killa. Always smiling faces greeting you, always fresh coffee, always fresh food, served up hot off the griddle. And one of the best unkept secrets of Waffle House is the Salsa to pour over scrambled eggs. I love this place. I know it's just another Waffle House, and it is often crowded and you have to wait a bit to get a seat, but you can always count of the food to be slightly above average. The noise level is high, but that's half the fun listening to the orders being relayed from the waitperson to the cook at the stove. The trademark waffle with pecans is always nice although the chef often tosses all the pecans into the middle of the waffle rather than distributing them homogeneously through the waffle itself, but, you know?, I think I can live with that! Whomever runs the HR department at Waffle House deserves some sort of award. I was greeted by someone behind the counter when I walked in, and they proceeded to do this for everyone else. My server was friendly. This is my major takeaway. Two gripes: Firstly, the coffee I wanted was available so they had to brew it fresh. It took a long time so I reminded someone (I think they forgot); Secondly, there are two menus and I wasn't presented both initially. I should have asked someone because the smaller menu felt limited, but I ordered off of it anyway. The larger menu offers deals on extra waffles and had a Dollar menu. Why would you steer people away from this? Just have one menu. Sorry, I think it's dumb. It had been a long time since I'd been to a waffle house but someday I'll go back. SUPPOSEDLY this is a 24-hour location. HA! I went in on 29 May 2022 at 5:15AM for breakfast, The doors were open, lights on so, in I went. A "manager" was sitting at the far counter and a woman was working behind the counter. The "manager" said "We're closed." I asked "Then why are the doors unlocked and the lights on?" She told me they didn't have the key for that door. The truth? They didn't want to work too hard, and especially did not want to serve a solo diner as the tips would be less--they think. Their loss, I work for tips, as well, and START my tips at 50% for good service, more for excellent service. This is the LAST time I go to ANY Waffle House. Third time in at this particular WH, and have NEVER had good service. NEVER. How this dump stay in business is beyond me. read more

Here is my 2 cents on the food. WOW every time I have gone here the food is fantastic. I always get a waffles. They are crispy and hot. Waffle House , people get the waffles. The cook always does my eggs right, over easy. The 9 variation of hashbrowns. I get the standard potaoes, always great .Coffee is good.BUT the cups are TOO small...too many refills adding cream and sugar too many times ;(~~~ Anyway the food has always been done to my great satisfaction. Now chit chat. We were there on a Thursday, 1120 am. WOW crowded. But did get a table. Christy(? )was a outstanding server. She was fast, helpful, and attentive. 15 minutes later the rush of people were gone. (thank you) ...The staff were great cleaning and shining up the place. I got the pecan waffles, extremely yummy, we all loved it especially my baby. The chef is impressive because he makes food as they call it out, 20 orders called in and they were all right.
